Radial tire having a lightweight belt structure
A radial tire with a lightened belt structure (10) comprises a multilayer composite laminate (10a, 10b, 10c) of specific construction, with a first layer (10a) of rubber (C1) reinforced with preferably weakly heat-shrinkable circumferential textile multifilament fibres (110) twisted individually on themselves with a torsion T greater than 100 turns per meter, for example, made of nylon or of polyester, this first layer radially (in the direction Z) surmounting two other layers (10b, 10c) of rubber (C2, C3, respectively) reinforced with monofilaments (120, 130) of high tensile steel. The first reinforcers have an envelope diameter between 0.30 mm and 0.60 mm and a density, measured in the axial direction Y, between 90 and 150 threads/dm, and the second and third reinforcers each have a diameter between 0.20 mm and 0.50 mm and a density, measured in the axial direction Y, between 100 and 180 threads/dm.
Pneumatic vehicle tyre with a belt ply having steel monofilaments
The invention relates to a pneumatic vehicle tire having two or more belt plies which have reinforcement members crossing one another at an angle, wherein the reinforcement members within each belt ply are arranged substantially parallel to and spaced apart from one another and are embedded in rubber material, wherein the belt has at least one first belt ply, the reinforcement members of which are formed by steel monofilaments of the reinforcement member class Ultra-Tensile (UT) with in each case a tensile strength of 3080 N/mm.sup.2 to 4190 N/mm.sup.2, wherein the steel monofilaments have a diameter D of 0.33 mm to 0.37 mm. It is the object of the invention to provide, at lower cost, a pneumatic vehicle tyre with low rolling resistance, by way of simultaneously simplified production. This is achieved in that the steel monofilaments have a torsion value of approximately zero windings in the case of a length dimension of 200 times the diameter of the steel monofilament.
Pneumatic vehicle tyre with a belt ply having steel reinforcing elements
Pneumatic vehicle tire having two or more belt plies which have reinforcement members crossing one another at an angle, wherein the reinforcement members within each belt ply are arranged substantially parallel to and spaced apart from one another and are embedded in rubber material, wherein the belt has at least one first belt ply, the reinforcement members of which are formed by steel cords composed of two twisted-together steel monofilaments, wherein the steel falls within the reinforcement member class Ultra-Tensile (UT) with in each case a tensile strength of 3185 N/mm.sup.2 to 3920 N/mm.sup.2. It is therefore the object of the invention to provide a pneumatic vehicle tyre with low rolling resistance and simultaneously good handling properties. The object is achieved in that the first belt ply, at a predefined elongation of 1% in the direction of the reinforcement member longitudinal extent, has a stress of 26000 N per dm width to 43000 N per dm width.
ELASTOMER-METAL CORD COMPOSITE AND TIRE USING SAME
Provided are: an elastomer-metal cord composite capable of improving the performance of a tire, in which composite a metal cord composed of a bundle of metal filaments that are parallelly aligned without being twisted together is coated with an elastomer; and a tire including the same. An elastomer-metal cord composite (10) is obtained by coating, with an elastomer (3), a metal cord (2) composed of a bundle of two to ten metal filaments (1) that are parallelly aligned in a single row without being twisted together, and the metal cord (2) includes at least one pair of adjacent metal filaments (1) being different from each other in at least either of patterning amount and patterning pitch in a direction perpendicular to an extending direction of the metal filaments (1).
Pneumatic tire
A pneumatic tire comprises: a carcass layer; a belt layer which is positioned to the outer side of the carcass layer in the tire radial direction; and a rubber tread which is positioned on the outer side of the belt layer in the tire radial direction. The belt layer is formed by laminating a pair of intersecting belts having belt angle with absolute values of 10 to 45 and mutually opposite-signed belt angles, and a circumferential reinforcing layer having a belt angle which is within a range of 5 with respect to the tire circumferential direction. A distance (Gcc) from the tread profile to the tire inner circumferential surface along the tire equatorial plane, and a distance (Gsh) from a tread end to the tire inner circumferential surface have a relationship satisfying 1.10Gsh/Gcc.
PNEUMATIC TIRE
A pneumatic tire having a side portion and a belt layer, monofilament cords are used as reinforcing cords in the belt layer, and in a tire-radial-direction cross-section of the belt layer, an arrangement number e of monofilament cords per 5 cm in a tire width direction (cords/5 cm) and a tire cross-sectional width Wt (mm) when the tire is installed to a standardized rim and an inner pressure is set to 250 kPa satisfies the following (formula 1) and (formula 2):
e/(139.50.3Wt)>1 (formula 1)
e/(191.50.3Wt)<1 (formula 2),
REDUCED WEIGHT AIRCRAFT TIRE
A pneumatic tire having a carcass and a belt reinforcing structure, the belt reinforcing structure comprising: a zigzag belt reinforcing structure formed of a strip of reinforcement cords, the strip of reinforcement cords being inclined at 5 to 30 degrees relative to the centerplane of the tire extending in alternation to turnaround points at each lateral edge, wherein the strip of cords is formed from two different cords made of different materials.
PNEUMATIC VEHICLE TYRE WITH A BELT PLY HAVING STEEL MONOFILAMENTS
A pneumatic vehicle tire having two or more belt plies which have reinforcement members crossing at an angle. The reinforcement members within each belt ply are arranged substantially parallel to and spaced apart from one another and are embedded in rubber material. The belt has at least one first belt ply, the reinforcement members of which are formed by ultra-tensile steel monofilaments having a tensile strength of 3080 N/mm.sup.2 to 4190 N/mm.sup.2. The steel monofilaments have a diameter D of 0.33 mm to 0.37 mm. This provides, at lower cost, a pneumatic vehicle tyre with low rolling resistance, by way of simultaneously simplified production.
