MOTORCYCLES TYRE
A motorcycle tyre has a tread band (8) comprising a plurality of grooves that form a tread pattern including a module (T) replicated along a circumferential direction of the tyre (1) and having a predetermined circumferential length (C1). The module (T) comprises a pair of circumferential grooves (20) arranged on opposite sides with respect to the equatorial plane (X-X) of the tyre (1). Such circumferential grooves (20) extend along the circumferential direction of the tyre (1) for only part of said predetermined circumferential length (C1) and define between them a central portion (A) of tread band (8) having a void to solid ratio substantially equal to zero and a predetermined axial width (A1). The module (T) further comprises a plurality of transversal grooves (30, 31, 32, 33) arranged on opposite sides with respect to the equatorial plane (X-X) at a distance from said equatorial plane (X-X) greater than that of said circumferential grooves (20) and a pair of first lateral annular portions (B) axially arranged between said circumferential grooves (20) and said plurality of pairs of transversal grooves (30, 31, 32, 33), each of said first lateral annular portions (B) comprising, in a position axially adjacent to the respective circumferential groove (20), a respective part (B1) of tread band having a circumferential length at least equal to that of said circumferential grooves (20) and a void to solid ratio substantially equal to zero. The tyre (1) has a curvature ratio lower than about 0.32.
Pneumatic tire
A plurality of main grooves extending from a tread center region including a tire equator to ground contact ends so as to be inclined with respect to a tire width direction are provided on a tread section at intervals in a tire circumferential direction. Sub-grooves extending in a direction crossing the tire width direction with a narrower groove width than the main grooves in the tread center region are provided. Tie bars connecting blocks separated by the sub-grooves are provided inside the sub-grooves.
Motorcycle tyre and pair of motorcycle tyres
A motorcycle tyre has a tread band including a central portion and two shoulder portions arranged at axially opposite sides of the central portion. The central portion includes a first plurality of grooves extended according to a substantially longitudinal direction and alternatively arranged at opposite sides of the equatorial plane of the tyre. Each groove of the first plurality of grooves has a substantially curvilinear course such as to form a concavity. The central portion further includes a sub-portion substantially free of grooves placed astride the equatorial plane of the tyre. Each of the shoulder portions includes a second plurality of grooves arranged obliquely relative to the equatorial plane of the tyre.
Pneumatic tire
A pneumatic tire is provided with four or more circumferential main grooves extending in a tire circumferential direction and five or more land portions defined by the circumferential main grooves. Additionally, second land portions are each provided with first through lug grooves and second through lug grooves that extend through the second land portion in a tire lateral direction and are adjacently arranged in the tire circumferential direction. Crossing angles of the first through lug grooves and the second through lug grooves with respect to the outermost circumferential main grooves are mutually different.
Pneumatic tire
A center rib is formed by two circumferential main grooves. A main inclined groove and an auxiliary inclined groove are formed in the center rib. The main inclined groove is inclined with respect to the tire circumferential direction to become distanced from the tire equatorial plane from a leading side toward a trailing side in a tire rotational direction, a plurality of the main inclined grooves being juxtaposed in the tire circumferential direction and disposed alternately in the tire circumferential direction on both sides of the tire equatorial plane. The auxiliary inclined groove inclines with respect to the tire circumferential direction to become distanced from the tire equatorial plane from the leading side toward the trailing side in the tire rotational direction, a leading end and a trailing end terminating within the center rib while intersecting at least two of the main inclined grooves.
Pneumatic tire
A pneumatic tire comprises at least one block partitioned by a block partitioning groove, the at least one block comprises a first block groove extending from an edge toward a first side in a tire circumferential direction of the at least one block so as to be directed toward a second side in the tire circumferential direction, and a second block groove extending from an edge toward the second side in the tire circumferential direction of the at least one block so as to be directed toward the first side in the tire circumferential direction, and the first block groove and the second block groove appear to overlap as viewed in a tire width direction.
Tyre
A circumferential groove has a groove bottom and a pair of groove walls. Groove bottom includes groove bottom protruding portions protruding radially outwardly from a groove bottom reference surface and having a first groove bottom surface extending radially. The first groove bottom surface includes a first surface portion on one side of a center line of the circumferential groove and a second surface portion positioned on the other side, and an angle between them is 20° to 170°. The groove wall includes groove wall protruding portions protruding toward an inside of the circumferential groove from a groove wall reference surface defined as a circumferential surface at a widest groove width position of the circumferential groove and having a first groove wall width surface 12 extending in a tyre width direction and a second groove wall surface having an angle larger than the first groove wall width surface.
Tyre
A groove bottom is formed symmetrically about a center line of a circumferential groove in a tread plan view and includes groove bottom protruding portions protruding radially outwardly from a groove bottom reference surface parallel to a tread surface at a deepest position of a groove depth. Groove bottom protruding portions have a first groove bottom surface extending radially and a second groove bottom surface having an angle larger than the first groove bottom surface. Groove walls include groove wall protruding portions protruding toward an inner side of the circumferential groove from a groove wall reference surface as a circumferential surface at a widest position of a groove width. The groove wall protruding portions each has a first groove wall width surface and a second groove wall surface having an angle larger than the first groove wall width surface.
Pneumatic tire
A pneumatic tire comprising a tread portion provided with a middle land portion 6 which is arranged between a central main groove 3 and a shoulder main groove 4. The middle land portion 6 is provided with an inner middle lateral groove 8 and an outer middle lateral groove 9. The inner middle lateral groove 8 comprises a first inclined portion 10 that extends axially outwardly from the central main groove 3 at an angle θ1 of from 10 to 40 degrees with respect to a circumferential direction of the tire, and a second inclined portion 12 that is inclined at an opposite direction to the first inclined portion 10 so as to extend axially inwardly, and a bent portion 11 connecting the first inclined portion 10 and the second inclined portion 12. The outer middle lateral groove 9 is communicated with the second inclined portion 12 of the axially inner middle lateral groove 8 without including an axially outermost groove edge 8e of the inner middle lateral groove 8, and is communicated with the shoulder main groove 4. The axially outer middle lateral groove 9 is inclined in the same direction of the first inclined portion 10 of the inner middle lateral groove 8 at an angle θ3 of from 30 to 70 degrees with respect to the circumferential direction of the tire.
Pneumatic tire
A pneumatic tire having a specified rotational direction and including land portions formed compartmentally on the tread of the pneumatic tire by disposing plural inclined grooves extending from both tread ends respectively toward the tire equator and inclined toward the rotational direction with respect to a tire width direction, and also including branch grooves on the tread, each of the branch grooves diverging from a portion of the inclined groove within an area till ¼ of the tread width from the tread, extending to the tire equator in the opposite tire circumferential direction of the inclined groove with respect to the tire width direction and terminating within the land portions.
