TIRE
A tire has a tread portion including a first land portion including first and second circumferential edges and and a tread surface. On the first land portion, curved grooves are provided in a tire circumferential direction. Each curved groove extends from a first end on the first circumferential edge side, terminates at a second end within the first land portion, and includes first and second curved portions and on the first end and second end sides, respectively. The first curved portion is an arc curve with a radius of curvature having a center on the first circumferential edge side of the curved groove. The second curved portion is an arc curve with a radius of curvature having a center on the second circumferential edge side of the curved groove.
TIRE
A tire has a tread portion 2 including a first land portion 11. The first land portion 11 includes a first circumferential edge 11a, a second circumferential edge 11b, and a tread surface between the first circumferential edge 11a and the second circumferential edge 11b. On the tread surface, a first inclined groove 21 extending from the second circumferential edge 11b to the first circumferential edge 11a side, a second inclined groove 22 extending from the second circumferential edge 11b to the first circumferential edge 11a side so as to be inclined in a direction opposite to that of the first inclined groove 21, and a triangular block 35 demarcated by the first inclined groove 21 and the second inclined groove 22, are formed. A curved groove 15 curved so as to be convex on the second circumferential edge 11b is formed on the triangular block 35.
Tire
The tire has a tread portion for which an intended tire rotational direction is specified. The tread portion comprises first inclined land portions defined between first inclined grooves. The first inclined land portion comprises an outer portion having a first wall surface and a second wall surface, and an inner portion having a third wall surface and a fourth wall surface. The angle θ1 of the first wall surface is smaller than the angle θ2 of the second wall surface, and the angle θ3 of the third wall surface is larger than the angle θ4 of the fourth wall surface.
Tire
A tire includes a middle land portion between a crown main groove and a shoulder main groove. The middle land portion is provided with a first middle lug groove extending axially outwardly from the crown main groove, a second middle lug groove extending axially inwardly from the shoulder main grooves wherein the first and second middle lug grooves are arranged alternately in a tire circumferential direction, and a first middle sipe provided between the first and second middle lug grooves. The first middle sipe includes a crown-side middle sipe element extending axially outwardly from the crown main groove, a shoulder-side middle sipe element extending axially inwardly from the shoulder main groove at a location different from an extension line of the crown-side middle sipe element and a connecting middle sipe element connecting therebetween.
TIRE
A tire has a tread portion having a second middle land region which is provided with middle lateral grooves and circumferentially divided into middle blocks. Each middle block is provided with two first middle sipes extending from a second shoulder circumferential groove, and one second middle sipe disposed between the two first middle sipes. Each first middle sipe extends in a wavy manner in its depth direction. The second middle sipe extends straight in its depth direction. The second middle sipe extends from the second shoulder circumferential groove and is terminated within the second middle land region.
TIRE
A tire has a tread portion 2. The first middle land region 11 is provided with bend grooves 15 each having a first end 15a and a second end 15b. The first end 15a is connected to the first shoulder circumferential groove 5. The second end 15b is connected to one of the bend grooves 15 next in one of two opposite circumferential directions. Each bend groove 15 has two bent portions 16 and 17 at which the groove is bent. The bent angle θ1 at the first bent portion 16 is greater than the bent angle θ2 at the second bent portion 17.
Motorcycle tire
A motorcycle tire includes a tread portion provided with inclined main grooves arranged between the tire equator and a first tread edge and sub-grooves smaller than the inclined main grooves in groove width. The inclined main grooves include inner main grooves each extending from a first end located on the tire equator side to a second end located on the first tread edge side with an inclination with respect to a tire circumferential direction, wherein no other grooves are provided between the first end of each inner main groove and the tire equator. The sub-grooves include first sub-grooves extending from the inner main grooves toward the tire equator with an opposite inclination direction to the inner main grooves with respect to the tire circumferential direction and terminating on the tire equator side without being communicated with any other grooves.
PNEUMATIC TIRE FOR AN ELECTRIC VEHICLE
A pneumatic tire for an electric vehicle includes a pair of bead areas, a ground-contacting tread disposed radially outwardly of the pair of bead areas, and a pair of sidewalls. Each sidewall extends from a respective bead area to the tread. The tread joins each sidewall at a respective shoulder and the shoulders include an inboard shoulder and an outboard shoulder. A radius on the inboard shoulder is larger than a radius on the outboard shoulder. Physical features are formed on the tread, and each feature is formed in the shape of a fin. The features increase air flow towards an electric vehicle motor located inboardly of the tire. At least one of the fins includes a leading edge formed with micro-features.
Tyre for motorcyle wheels
A motorcycle tyre with a low void-to-rubber ratio while providing a stiffness suitable for good performance on dry ground and on track. A tread band with grooves is arranged to provide a draining effect without structurally weakening the tread band. According to one aspect, the tread band has a tread pattern with two pairs of grooves having segments or portions that produce a warming effect when the compound of the tread band is cold. The tread band provides grip to the ground and limited local warming when the compound of the tread band is at the operating temperature or when driving on dry ground, to provide stiffness and readiness of response.
Tire for a motorcycle
A tire (1) for a motorcycle comprises a tread portion (2) comprising main grooves (3) and narrow grooves (4). The main grooves (3) include first main grooves (5) and second main grooves (6) arranged on an axially outer side of the first main grooves (5). The narrow grooves (4) include open narrow grooves (7) and semi-open narrow grooves (8). Each of the open narrow grooves (7) is arranged such that one end (7a) is substantially connected with respective first main groove (5) and the other end (7b) is substantially connected with respective second main grooves (6). A first end (8a) of each of the semi-open narrow grooves (8) is substantially connected with one of the first main grooves (5) or the second main grooves (6). A second end (8b) of each of the semi-open narrow grooves (8) terminates on a ground contacting surface (2a) of the tread portion (2).
