TIRE
A tire includes a tread portion including four circumferential grooves between outboard and inboard tread edges, and five land portions divided by the circumferential grooves. The circumferential grooves include an inboard shoulder circumferential groove located nearest to the inboard tread edge in the circumferential grooves. The land portions include an inboard shoulder land portion disposed axially outward of the inboard shoulder circumferential groove and having a ground contact surface with the smallest axial width in the land portions. The inboard shoulder land portion is provided with inboard shoulder lateral grooves and inboard shoulder sipes. The inboard shoulder lateral grooves include inner ends away from the inboard shoulder circumferential groove. The inboard shoulder lateral grooves extend axially outward from the inner ends to a location beyond the inboard tread edge. The inboard shoulder sipes extends from the inboard shoulder circumferential groove to a location beyond the inboard tread edge.
TIRE
In a cross-sectional view of a tire, a line connecting, by a single arc, a ground contact edge in a shoulder land, and midpoints of center and middle lands in a width direction is a profile. A distance between intersection points of the profile and lines extended from groove walls, on sides of the center land, of a main groove adjacent to both ends of the center land in the width direction is defined as Wc. Ends of the center land and of the middle land on both sides of the main groove are recessed toward the inner side in the radial direction relative to the profile, the recess of the middle land end is larger than the recess of the center land end, and a range of 0.03Wc from the center land end on the middle land side does not touch the ground.
Tire tread comprising undulating grooves
A tread (1) for a heavy-duty vehicle tyre, having a tread surface (10) and an undulating groove (2) formed therein, having, when new, external cavities (21) open onto the tread surface (10) and internal cavities (22) entirely situated there-beneath when new, these cavities (22) connected to cavities (21) by linking cavities (23), each external cavity (21) intersecting the tread surface (10) along a corner edge contour delimiting an opening (210) having two end regions (A1, A2) and a surface area Se measured on the tread surface (10). In each end region (A1, A2) at least one thin blade (41, 42) of rubbery material is formed which is secured to at least one of the walls delimiting the undulating groove to reduce the surface area of the opening (210) of each external cavity (21) viewed from the tread surface (10) when new.
Tyre
A tyre includes a tread portion including a first land portion having a circumferentially extending first edge and a circumferentially extending second edge on its ground contacting surface. The first land portion is provided with sipes each extending from the first edge to the second edge. The sipes include bent sipes each including two or more sipe elements joined with each other to form a bent portion. The bent sipes include first sipes and second sipes. Each first sipe, as the sipes elements, includes at least one first sipe element inclined in a first direction with respect to a tyre axial direction and at least one second sipe element inclined in a second direction opposite to the first direction with respect to the tyre axial direction. All sipe elements of each second sipe are inclined in the first direction with respect to the tyre axial direction.
MOTORCYCLE TIRE
A motorcycle tire includes a tread portion including a crown portion that is a region of 50% of a tread development width centered on a tire equator, a first shoulder portion that is an outer region of the crown portion, and first lateral grooves. Each lateral groove includes a first groove portion in the crown portion, a second groove portion in the first shoulder portion, and a third groove portion connecting the first and second groove portions. A groove depth and a groove width of the third groove portion are respectively smaller than groove depths and groove widths of the first groove portion and the second groove portion, respectively. More than 80% of a tire axial length of the third groove portion is in the first shoulder portion.
Tire
Provided is a tire including a tread portion. The tread portion includes two circumferential grooves and three land portions. The three land portions include a crown land portion disposed on a tire equator, and two shoulder land portions including tread contact ends. At least one of the shoulder land portions includes a plurality of main inclined grooves and a plurality of subsidiary inclined grooves. The main inclined grooves have tire-axially inner ends ending in the shoulder land portions and tire-axially outer ends disposed outwardly of the tread contact ends Te in the tire axial direction. The subsidiary inclined grooves have tire-axially inner ends ending in the shoulder land portions and tire-axially outer ends ending in the shoulder land portions.
TIRE
A tire includes a tread portion being provided with a circumferentially and continuously extending outboard shoulder main groove, a circumferentially and continuously extending outboard crown main groove disposed between the outboard shoulder main groove and a tire equator, and an outboard middle land portion disposed between the outboard shoulder main groove and the outboard crown main groove. The outboard middle land portion is provided with a plurality of first outboard middle lug grooves extending from the outboard crown main groove and terminating within the outboard middle land portion, and a plurality of second outboard middle lug grooves extending from the outboard shoulder main groove and terminating within the outboard middle land portion, wherein the second outboard middle lug grooves are larger than the first outboard middle lug grooves in length in a tire axial direction.
PNEUMATIC TIRE
A pneumatic tire includes a tread having a pair of crown grooves, a pair of shoulder grooves, a crown land, a pair of middle lands, and a pair of shoulder lands. No grooves having width of 2 mm or more are formed in the crown and middle lands, the tread has first and second halves and has first sipes in the first half such that each has width of less than 2 mm and extends from the crown to shoulder lands via the grooves, second sipes in the second half such that each has width of less than 2 mm and extends from the crown to shoulder lands via the grooves without reaching the ground contact edge, and third sipes in the middle land in the second half such that each has width of less than 2 mm and extends in axial direction between second sipes adjacent in circumferential direction.
Sliding elastic body
