Each middle land portion can include a plurality of middle sipes. Each middle sipe can have a chamfered portion at at least one of sipe edges on both opposite ends thereof. The chamfered portion can extend from the crown circumferential groove to the shoulder circumferential groove. A first chamfered width of the chamfered portion at a first one of the opposite ends on a crown circumferential groove side can be greater than a second chamfered width of the chamfered portion at a second one of the opposite ends on a shoulder circumferential groove side.

The first sipe and the lateral groove open to one of the first grooves. Second sipes and auxiliary grooves are in a bent shape in the second land. The first and second sipes are oriented the same. The auxiliary groove includes first and second portions. An intersection angle of the first portion with the second sipe is within 45° to 90°. A length a of the first portion and a length b of the second portion satisfy 0.05×a≤b≤0.4×a.

Tire

The tire has a tread portion axially divided into two shoulder land regions, two middle land regions and one crown land region by two shoulder circumferential grooves and two crown circumferential grooves. The middle land regions are each provided with a single longitudinal sipe, and first and second middle transverse grooves extending from the adjacent shoulder circumferential groove and crown circumferential groove, and terminated without being connected to the longitudinal sipe. The shoulder land regions are each provided with shoulder transverse grooves extending from tread edges and terminated within the respective shoulder land regions.

Tyre

A tyre comprises a tread portion having a land region including a ground contacting surface defined between a first vertical edge and a second vertical edge and a lateral groove including a first portion extending from the first vertical edge, a second portion extending from the second vertical edge, and a connection portion connecting therebetween. The connection portion is a portion between a first small edge protruding circumferentially from the first portion and a second small edge protruding toward a circumferentially opposite side to the first small edge. A length in the tyre circumferential direction of each of the first and second small edges is smaller than a maximum groove width of each of the first and second portions. At least a part of the connection portion has a raised bottom portion having a depth smaller than that of the lateral groove at the first and second vertical edges.

The end portion of the sipe positioned on the later contact side in contact with the road surface lately as the tire rotates opens to the side wall of the land portion.

A tire has a tread portion 2. The first middle land region 11 is provided with bend grooves 15 each having a first end 15a and a second end 15b. The first end 15a is connected to the first shoulder circumferential groove 5. The second end 15b is connected to one of the bend grooves 15 next in one of two opposite circumferential directions. Each bend groove 15 has two bent portions 16 and 17 at which the groove is bent. The bent angle θ1 at the first bent portion 16 is greater than the bent angle θ2 at the second bent portion 17.

In a tread portion of a pneumatic tire, a first sipe wall surface of a sipe includes at least two first peak portions and at least one first valley portion at each position of the sipe extension direction, which are bent in a wave-like shape to form surface recesses and protrusions along a sipe depth direction. The first valley portion is sandwiched between the two first peak portions in the sipe depth direction, and extends from one end of the sipe in the extension direction to the other end of the sipe in the extension direction. A recess depth of the first valley portion with respect to the two first peak portions gradually reduces. A position of at least one of the two first peak portions in the sipe depth direction and a position of the first valley portion in the sipe depth direction become gradually closer.
