A pneumatic tire includes two circumferential main grooves disposed in the region on one side of a tire equatorial plane as a boundary and a land portion defined by the two circumferential main grooves. The land portion includes a circumferential narrow groove extending in the tire circumferential direction and sets of a first and a second lug groove extending in the tire lateral direction through the circumferential narrow groove. The first lug groove includes an end portion that opens to the edge portion on one side of the land portion and another end portion that terminates within the land portion. The second lug groove includes an end portion that opens to the edge portion on the other side of the land portion and an end portion that terminates within the land portion. The first lug groove and the second lug groove are alternately disposed in the tire circumferential direction.

A tire includes a tread, sidewalls, beads, and pairs of first and second grooves formed in the tread. A first land is between the first grooves, and second lands are between one of the first and second grooves and between another of the first and second main grooves. First sipes and lateral grooves are in the first land, at the same angle, the first sipes being connected to the lateral grooves. The first sipe and the lateral groove open to one of the first grooves. Second sipes and auxiliary grooves are in a bent shape in the second land. The first and second sipes are oriented the same. The auxiliary groove includes first and second portions. An intersection angle of the first portion with the second sipe is within 45° to 90°. A length a of the first portion and a length b of the second portion satisfy 0.05×a≤b≤0.4×a.

A tire comprises a directional tread which forms a contact patch AC during running. The tread comprises a plurality of blocks (21A, 21B) which form a contact surface SC. The surface voids ratio is defined by TES=(AC−SC)/AC. The blocks (21A, 21B) are organized into patterns (26) of blocks of pitch P which succeed one another in the circumferential direction (X), in a pattern comprising at least one sipe. The sipes density is defined by the formula

[00001] SD = .Math. i = 1 n lpyi P * W * 1000 ,

where n is the number of sipes, lpyi is the projected distance of the sipe i in the axial direction (Y), and W is the width of the tread. Simultaneously, SD is at least equal to 10 mm-1 and at most equal to 70 mm-1, and TES is at least equal to 0.40 and at most equal to 0.70.

A pneumatic tire includes a plurality of main grooves and a land portion defined by the main grooves. Further, the main groove includes a rib-shaped protrusion portion protruding from a groove bottom of the main groove and extending in a tire width direction, and being coupled to a groove wall of the main groove at, at least, one end. Further, a maximum height H1 of the protrusion portion has a relationship 0.01≤H1/Hg≤0.20 with respect to a groove depth Hg of the main groove. Further, the maximum height H1 of the protrusion portion is in a range H1≤1.6 mm.

Tire having exposed three dimensional sipe patterns

The present disclosure is directed to tire tread blocks each having a sipe and cut-out portions that reveal a three dimensional sipe pattern on interior walls of the tread block. More particularly, the sipe defines the interior walls of the tread block and divides the tread block into first and second portions. The sipe further defines the sipe pattern on the interior walls of the tread block, on the first and second portions. The cut-out portions are located on the first and second portions, and expose the sipe patterns on the second and first portions, respectively.

Tyre

A tyre comprises a tread portion having a land region including a ground contacting surface defined between a first vertical edge and a second vertical edge and a lateral groove including a first portion extending from the first vertical edge, a second portion extending from the second vertical edge, and a connection portion connecting therebetween. The connection portion is a portion between a first small edge protruding circumferentially from the first portion and a second small edge protruding toward a circumferentially opposite side to the first small edge. A length in the tyre circumferential direction of each of the first and second small edges is smaller than a maximum groove width of each of the first and second portions. At least a part of the connection portion has a raised bottom portion having a depth smaller than that of the lateral groove at the first and second vertical edges.

A tire includes a tread portion provided with at least one circumferentially extending zigzag main groove having a groove bottom, the at least one main groove including first inclined portions, second inclined portions each inclined in an opposite direction to the first direction, and first intersections where the first inclined portions and the second inclined portions are communicated with each other. The first inclined portions and the second inclined portions are arranged alternately in the tire circumferential direction. The first inclined portions are longer than the second inclined portions. The groove bottom of the at least one main groove is provided with at least one protruding part extending in a width direction of the at least one main groove, and a distance between the at least one protruding part and one adjacent first intersection is equal to or less than 2 times groove widths of the first intersections.

A pneumatic tire can suppress uneven wear of the tire and improve the performance on snow. A plurality of inner side circumferential grooves (11a, 11b, 11c) arrayed between a pair of outermost side circumferential grooves (11d, 11d) have a groove width that is smaller than that of the outermost side circumferential grooves (11d) to such a degree allowing land portions on the opposite sides thereof to come into contact with each other upon grounding. A plurality of recessed portions (S) of a shape cut in a radial direction from a tread face are formed along the tire circumferential direction on opposing block wall faces (14Af, 14Bf) of blocks (14A, 14B) on the opposite sides of at least one (11b) of the inner side circumferential grooves.
