The raised bottom portions are formed so as to exclude at least intersection portions where the shoulder circumferential main grooves and the shoulder lug grooves intersect.
TIRE
A tire includes block rows delimited by a pair of circumferential grooves extending in a tire circumferential direction. The block rows include a plurality of blocks partitioned by a plurality of lateral grooves extending in a tire width direction, and each block is partitioned into a plurality of small blocks by a circumferential sipe extending in the tire circumferential direction and a plurality of lateral sipes. The lateral sipes include a first lateral sipe and a second lateral sipe extending in different directions.
PNEUMATIC TIRE
A pneumatic tire includes: a plurally of shoulder blocks that are provided in a side portion, defined by a shoulder main groove extending in a tire circumferential direction and a shoulder lateral groove extending in a tire width direction, and disposed side by side in the tire circumferential direction; a rib that is provided in the side portion, and extends in the tire circumferential direction along the shoulder blocks; and a projection that is provided in the side portion, and extends from the rib toward the shoulder blocks.
Pneumatic tire
Provided is a pneumatic tire including a land portion provided with a sipe, which is capable of simultaneously providing snow performance, dry performance, and wet performance all at high level in a single land portion. The pneumatic tire includes a land portion 2 on a tread portion. The land portion 2 is provided with a sipe 5 having amplitude in a tire circumferential direction and extending in a tire width direction. In a depth direction extending from a land portion surface S toward an inner side in a tire radial direction, sipe 5 includes: a land portion's surface-side part 5a.sub.1 bent toward tire circumferential direction from land portion surface S; and a land portion's bottom-side part 5a.sub.2 bent in a direction different from a direction of land portion's surface-side part 5a.sub.1 or bent toward tire circumferential direction by a displacement different from a displacement of land portion's surface-side part 5a.sub.1.
Pneumatic tire
A pneumatic tire includes a tread portion provided with a shoulder main groove and a crown main groove to form a middle land portion therebetween. The middle land portion is provided with a first middle lug groove including a first groove wall and a second groove wall, wherein the first groove wall includes a protrusion protruding toward the second groove wall on the side of the shoulder main groove. The protrusion includes a front wall located so as to form a sipe portion between the front wall and the second groove wall, a top wall, a first lateral wall located axially outward of the front wall and a second lateral wall located axially inward of the front wall. The front wall is configured to a triangular shape.
PNEUMATIC TIRE
A pneumatic tire includes a tread portion being provided with blocks which are provided with sipes. When the tread portion is virtually divided into a crown area having a tread ground-contact width centered on a tire equator, a pair of middle areas each having a tread ground-contact width and being adjacent to axially each side of the crown area and a pair of inner shoulder areas each having a tread ground-contact width and being adjacent to axially outside the middle areas, the sipes comprise crown sipes having main portions included in the crown area, middle sipes having main portions included in the middle areas and shoulder sipes having main portions included in the inner shoulder areas. Depths of the crown sipes are smaller than depths of the middle sipes, and depths of the shoulder sipes are smaller than the depths of the middle sipes.
COMMERCIAL VEHICLE TYRE
The invention relates to a commercial vehicle tire having a tread with at least one profile rib which runs in encircling fashion in a circumferential direction, is arranged laterally with respect to the tire equatorial plane and has sipes extending through it, which sipes each have sipe walls, a sipe midplane spaced apart equally from the sipe walls, a width of 0.4 mm to 2.0 mm and a maximum depth in a radial direction of at least 40% of the profile depth, wherein each sipe, at least in a portion which runs over the predominant part thereof as seen in plan view, has at least one sipe zone which is offset in relation to the radially outer sipe periphery and which runs in an extent direction of the sipe in an undulating form and in arcuate or singly serrated form in a radial direction, wherein a plane running through the point of the maximum excursion of the sipe zone has a line of intersection with the sipe midplane, which line of intersection follows the undulating form of the sipe zone.
The sipe runs in the undulating form exclusively in the sipe zone, wherein the amplitude of the line of intersection that follows the undulating form of the sipe zone decreases, in each line-of-intersection portion running over one half of a wavelength, in the direction of the tread-outside sipe end.
Tire
A tire according to the present disclosure is a tire including, in a tread surface, a tread land portion partitioned by a partitioning groove or by the partitioning groove and a tread edge. The tread land portion includes a sipe extending from a surface of the tread land portion inwardly in a tire radial direction. The sipe includes a widened portion with a larger sipe width than a position adjacent in a sipe longitudinal direction. The cross-sectional area of the widened portion in cross section perpendicular to the tire radial direction is larger on inside than on outside in the tire radial direction.
Tread comprising a block having a plurality of sipes
Disclosed herein is a tread for a tire. The tread includes at least one elongate block of rubbery material of width W and length L with L>>W. This elongate block extends in a circumferential direction (X) when the tread is mounted on the tire. The elongate block includes a contact surface intended to come into contact with the ground and a first lateral wall and a second lateral wall delimiting this contact surface. The elongate block includes a plurality of sipes opening onto the contact surface of the elongate block, with each sine extending in an oblique direction opening onto the first lateral wall and onto the second lateral wall. The sipes are distributed over the contact surface of the block in such a way that when one sipe reaches the second lateral wall another sipe starts out from the first lateral wall, at a same circumferential level (N) on the elongate block. With the sipes delimiting sub-blocks in the elongate block, at least two of these sub-blocks are configured differently in the tread.
