A pneumatic tire includes a plurality of main grooves formed in a tread and extending along a tire circumferential direction, wherein the plurality of main grooves include a shoulder main groove located on an outermost side in a width direction, the shoulder main groove includes a raised portion formed by raising a first side, in the tire width direction, of a groove bottom of the shoulder main groove more than a second side of the groove bottom, and the raised portion is lower than an outer surface of the tread and continuously extends over an entire circumference in the tire circumferential direction.

Pneumatic tire

A rib of a pneumatic tire includes a first sipe extending from one of main grooves positioned on both sides of the rib and a second sipe extending from another one of the main grooves, one end portion of the first and second sipes terminating within the rib. The first and second sipes form a pair of sipes including edges on leading and trailing sides. Chamfered portions shorter than a total sipe length of the pair of sipes are formed on respective edges and non-chamfered regions exist on portions opposing respective chamfered portions in the pair of sipes. A maximum depth x (mm) of the sipes and a maximum depth y (mm) of the chamfered portion satisfy x×0.1≤y≤x×0.3+1.0. A sipe width is constant in a range from a portion positioned inside in a tire radial direction of the chamfered portion to a bottom of the sipes.

A tire that can improve braking performance on a dry road surface and wet performance is provided. The tire includes a tread portion 2. The tread portion 2 includes a shoulder land portion 5 disposed at an endmost tread edge side. The shoulder land portion 5 has a plurality of shoulder lateral grooves 10 that fully traverse the shoulder land portion 5. Each shoulder lateral groove 10 includes, in a transverse cross-section orthogonal to a longitudinal direction thereof, a bottom portion 11, a groove wall main body 12 extending from the bottom portion 11 outward in a tire radial direction, and a chamfered portion 15 between a ground-contact surface of the shoulder land portion 5 and the groove wall main body 12. The chamfered portion 15 is titled at an angle of 5 to 30° relative to a tread profile 13 obtained by extending the ground-contact surface.

A tire has a lug, a plurality of first recessed regions that extend from a first major groove, and a plurality of second recessed regions that extend from a second major groove. A central region of the lug protrudes relative to either end of the lug. The plurality of first and second recessed regions are arranged in alternating fashion along a tire circumferential direction. The respective recessed regions each has a planar base that extends in a width direction of the each recessed region. The planar base is horizontal, or is inclined in such fashion that a height thereof increases so as to extend further toward an exterior in a tire radial direction as one proceeds toward a center of the each recessed region. Width of the planar base increases as one proceeds from the center in the width direction of the lug to an end of the lug.

TIRE

A tire includes a tread portion including an outboard tread edge, an inboard tread edge, four circumferential grooves between the outboard and inboard tread edges, five land portions divided by the four circumferential grooves, and lateral grooves extending from the inboard tread edge to the crown land portion and terminating within the crown land portion. The four circumferential grooves include an inboard shoulder circumferential groove, an inboard crown circumferential groove, and an outboard crown circumferential groove. The five land portions include an inboard shoulder land portion, an inboard middle land portion, and a crown land portion between the inboard and outboard crown circumferential grooves. The crown land portion is provided with at least one crown sipe extending from the inboard crown circumferential groove or the outboard crown circumferential groove and terminating within the crown land portion, and crosses the axially center position of the crown land portion.

TIRE

A tire includes a first middle land portion having circumferentially extending first and second longitudinal edges. The first middle land portion is provided with middle lateral grooves. At least one of the middle lateral grooves includes a first groove portion extending in the tire axial direction from the first longitudinal edge, and a second groove portion extending in the tire axial direction from the second longitudinal edge. The first groove portion and the second groove portion are offset in the tire circumferential direction to form a pair of circumferential groove edges between a pair of groove edges of the first groove portion and a pair of groove edges of the second groove portion. A maximum groove depth of the first groove portion is different from a maximum groove depth of the second groove portion.
