TIRE
A tire that includes a tread portion having a designated mounting direction to a vehicle can comprise: an outer shoulder land portion having a greatest width, in the tire axial direction, of a ground contact surface among five land portions. The outer shoulder land portion can include a plurality of outer shoulder sipes connected to an outer shoulder circumferential groove. An outer middle land portion can include a plurality of outer middle sipes extending completely across the outer middle land portion in the tire axial direction. The outer shoulder sipes and the outer middle sipes each can include a pair of sipe walls. The outer shoulder sipes and the outer middle sipes can each include a body portion in which the pair of sipe walls are disposed substantially parallel to each other. A width of a body portion of each outer shoulder sipe can be greater than a width of a body portion of each outer middle sipe.
TIRE WITH HYBRID SIPE PATTERN
The subject invention discloses a tire (1) having at least one sipe pattern comprising, in the circumferential direction of the tire (1), one or more straight sipes (15) and two or more inclined sipes (17, 19, 37, 39); wherein at least one straight sipe (15) is arranged between two or more inclined sipes (17, 19, 37, 39).
Pneumatic tire
In a pneumatic tire, a sipe includes an edge on a leading side and an edge on a trailing side; the edge on the leading side and the edge on the trailing side each include a chamfered portion shorter than a sipe length of the sipe; a non-chamfered region in which other chamfered portions are not present is provided at portions facing the chamfered portions of the sipe; a maximum depth of the chamfered portion is less than a maximum depth of the sipe; a sipe width of the sipe is constant in a range from an end portion located on an inner side in a tire radial direction of the chamfered portion to a groove bottom of the sipe; and a raised bottom portion is disposed in at least one section of the chamfered portion.
Tyre
A tyre comprises a tread portion having a land region including a ground contacting surface defined between a first vertical edge and a second vertical edge and a lateral groove including a first portion extending from the first vertical edge, a second portion extending from the second vertical edge, and a connection portion connecting therebetween. The connection portion is a portion between a first small edge protruding circumferentially from the first portion and a second small edge protruding toward a circumferentially opposite side to the first small edge. A length in the tyre circumferential direction of each of the first and second small edges is smaller than a maximum groove width of each of the first and second portions. At least a part of the connection portion has a raised bottom portion having a depth smaller than that of the lateral groove at the first and second vertical edges.
TIRE
A tire includes a tread portion 2. A middle land portion 7 of the tread portion 2 has a first middle lateral groove 11. The first middle lateral groove 11 includes a first groove portion 31, a second groove portion 32 inclined in the same direction as the first groove portion 31, and a third groove portion 33 located between the first groove portion 31 and the second groove portion 32 and inclined relative to a tire axial direction in a direction opposite to that of the first groove portion 31. The first groove portion 31 has a groove width increasing from the third groove portion 33 toward an outer side in the tire axial direction. The second groove portion 32 has a groove width increasing from the third groove portion 33 toward an inner side in the tire axial direction.
TIRE
A tire includes a tread portion 2. At least one middle lateral groove 10 includes first and second middle tie bars 16 and 17. First and second middle sipes 21 and 22 are provided on a ground-contact surface 15s of at least one middle block 15. The first middle sipe 21 includes a termination end 21a located on an inner side in a tire axial direction with respect to the first middle tie bar 16. The second middle sipe 22 includes a termination end 22a located on an outer side in the tire axial direction with respect to the second middle tie bar 17 and on the inner side in the tire axial direction with respect to the termination end 21a of the first middle sipe 21. On the ground-contact surface 15s of the middle block 15, no groove and no sipe are provided in a first region 23.
Pneumatic tire
Provided is a tire including, in a tread surface, a plurality of land portions partitioned by a circumferential main groove extending continuously in a tire circumferential direction, on at least one side in a tire width direction, and comprising, in an internal land portion located in a vehicle-installed inside half portion to a tire equatorial plane among the plurality of land portions, an internal resonator including a first auxiliary groove that terminates in the internal land portion, and a first branch groove that communicates between the first auxiliary groove and the circumferential main groove, and in the first branch groove, a hidden groove having an opening width in the tread surface that is smaller than a groove width of a groove bottom is provided adjacent to the first auxiliary groove.
Tire
A tire includes a tread portion including a pair of shoulder main grooves and a crown region defined between the pair of the shoulder main grooves. The crown region includes a plurality of crown blocks. A ground contacting surface of at least one of the crown blocks is provided with a first sipe, a second sipe, and a third sipe. The first sipe, the second sipe, and the third sipe are connected with each other at one intersection.
TIRE
A tire includes a tread portion including first and second tread edges, three or more circumferential grooves, and four or more land portions. The circumferential grooves include a first shoulder circumferential groove nearest to the first tread edge. Each land portion is provided with only sipes and is not provided with lateral grooves. The land portions include a first shoulder land portion having the first tread edge, and a first middle land portion adjacent to the first shoulder land portion. The first middle land portion is provided with first middle sipes traversing the first middle land portion completely in the tire axial direction. The first shoulder land portion is provided with first shoulder sipes extending from the first shoulder circumferential groove to the first tread edge. The first shoulder sipes have a circumferential pitch length smaller than a circumferential pitch length of the first middle sipes.
HEAVY TRUCK TIRE WITH SHOULDER RIB SIPE FEATURING BRIDGING
The present invention provides for a heavy truck tire tread (12) with a plurality of sipes (20) in the shoulder rib (18) that extend from the shoulder edge (14) to the shoulder groove (16). Each one of the sipes (20) has a bottom (28) with a teardrop (30) located at the bottom, and the bottom (28) does not extend the same depth in the thickness direction across the entire lateral length of the sipe (20). The bottom (28) at a middle of the sipe (20) extends for less of a depth in the thickness direction than does the bottom (28) at a shoulder edge (14) portion of the sipe (20) located outboard from the middle of the sipe (20) in the lateral direction. The bottom (28) at the middle of the sipe (20) extends for less of a depth in the thickness direction than does the bottom (28) at a shoulder groove (16) portion of the sipe (20) located inboard from the middle of the sipe (20) in the lateral direction.
