A heavy load tire includes: a plurality of circumferential grooves extending along a tire circumferential direction; a plurality of lateral grooves extending along a tire width direction and formed in a direction crossing the circumferential grooves; and a plurality of blocks partitioned by the circumferential grooves and the lateral grooves. On a whole surface of one end portion in the tire circumferential direction of a center block formed in a center area among the plurality of blocks, an inclined portion inclined inward in a tire radial direction toward the end portion is formed.
PNEUMATIC TIRE
A pneumatic tire includes circumferential main grooves extending in the tire circumferential direction and arranged side by side in the tire width direction and a land portion defined by the circumferential main grooves. The land portion includes notch portions extending in the tire width direction and connected to the circumferential main grooves and shallow groove portions connected to the notch portions, respectively, and terminating in the land portion. The height of the notch portions decreases continuously toward the circumferential main grooves connected thereto.
Tire
A tire includes a tread portion including a main groove, a first block and a second block which are adjacent to one another in a tire axial direction through the main groove. The main groove includes first groove elements and second groove elements having groove widths smaller than that of the first groove elements. The first block includes a first ground contact surface, a first sidewall facing one of the second groove elements, a first corner portion between the first ground contact surface and the first sidewall, and a first recess being cut out the first corner portion locally. The second block includes a second ground contact surface, a second sidewall facing said one of the second groove elements, a second corner portion between the second ground contact surface and the second sidewall, and a second recess being cut out the second corner portion locally.
Pneumatic tire
A pneumatic tire is provided with tread rubber that forms a contact patch; and a belt layer which is disposed toward the interior in a tire radial direction from the tread rubber. A shoulder lug portion is provided with a narrow groove that partitions the shoulder lug portion into a main body portion and into a sacrificial portion. A plurality of concavities are open toward both the contact patch at the main body portion and the groove side face, wherein innermost ends in the tire width direction of the respective concavities are disposed so as to be at the same location in the tire width direction as an outermost end in the tire width direction of the belt layer or are arranged toward the exterior in the tire width direction from the outermost end in the tire width direction of the belt layer.
Utility Vehicle Tire
The invention relates to a utility vehicle tire having a tread with at least two circumferential channels (3), which are formed to a profile depth (T) and which separate central profile positives (1) and shoulder-side profile positives (2) from one another, the circumferential channels (3) having channel flanks (5a, 5b) toward the central profile positives (1) and the shoulder-side profile positives (2) having shoulder flanks (6) running toward the side wall.
At least one channel flank (5a, 5b) of at least one circumferential channel (3) and/or at least one shoulder flank (6) is provided with depressions (7, 7′) which extend into the profile positives (1, 2) and are open toward the surface of the tread and which, determined in each case at the periphery of the tread, have with respect to the level of the channel flank (5a, 5b) or shoulder flank (6) a depth (t.sub.1, t.sub.1′) of 2.0 mm to 5.0 mm and at the level of the channel flank (5a, 5b) or shoulder flank (6) a width (b.sub.1, b.sub.1′) of 4.0 mm to 15.0 mm,
each depression (7, 7′) being delimited by at least one surface (7c, 7d, 7′d), the surface(s) (7c, 7d, 7′d) being curved in such a way that, at its or their radially inner ends, it or they go(es) over without a kink into the channel flank (5a, 5b) at a depth (T.sub.1), determined in the radial direction, of 35% to 90% of the profile depth (T) or go(es) over without a kink into the shoulder flank (6) at a depth (T.sub.1′), determined in the radial direction, of 35% to 150% of the profile depth (T).
PNEUMATIC TIRE
A pneumatic tire having lug grooves in shoulder land portions that each include one end reaching at least a ground contact edge and an other end terminating in the shoulder land portion. Sipes in the shoulder land portions each include one end communicating with a shoulder main groove and an other end terminating in a ground contact region. Lug grooves in intermediate land portions each include one end communicating with the shoulder main groove and an other end terminating in the intermediate land portion. Sipes in the intermediate land portion each include one end communicating with a center main groove and an other end terminating in the intermediate land portion. Sipes in the center land portion each include one end communicating with the center main groove and an other end terminating in the center land portion without exceeding a tire center line.
TIRE WITH TREAD ELEMENTS INCLUDING DUAL ANGLED CHAMFER
A tire includes a tread formed with tread elements that include a dual angled chamfer. The tire includes a pair of sidewalls extending radially outward to a ground-engaging tread. A plurality of circumferentially-extending grooves extend about the tread and define a plurality of ribs. A plurality of laterally-extending grooves cooperate with the circumferential grooves to divide the ribs into tread elements. A plurality of selected tread elements are formed with a dual angled chamfer. Each of the selected tread elements includes a body, a radially outer, ground-engaging surface, a chamfer side, and a dual angled chamfer that is formed in the body between the ground-engaging surface and the chamfer side.
