Pneumatic tyre
A pneumatic tyre includes a tread portion, and a pair of buttress portions each extending inwardly in a tyre radial direction from a respective one of tread edges. At least one of the pair of buttress portions is provided with side protectors protruding outwardly in a tyre axial direction. The side protectors include first protectors arranged in a tyre circumferential direction. Each first protector includes a lateral V-shaped portion including a first inclined element inclined with respect to the tyre circumferential direction and a second inclined element inclined in an opposite direction to the first inclined element with respect to the tyre circumferential direction and connected to the first inclined element.
Tire
A tire includes a tread portion. The tread portion is provided with grooves each having a pair of groove walls. At least one of the groove walls is provided on a surface thereof with a pattern portion having a plurality of micro-protrusions. The pattern portion is provided with the micro-protrusions at a density of 1 to 5 per 1 mm.sup.2 of the groove wall area.
TIRE
A tire comprising: a tread portion contacting a road surface; a groove provided in the tread portion; and a plurality of projections provided at groove side walls of the groove, wherein the plurality of projections are provided at least at any position within a region of from 40 to 60% of a groove depth of the groove side walls, and wherein, as seen in a cross-section in a width direction of the groove, an apex of the projection is positioned further toward a tread surface side of the tread portion than a width direction central portion of a base of the projection.
Tire
A tire includes a tread portion. The tread portion includes a pair of shoulder main grooves and a plurality of crown blocks. Each of the crown blocks includes a ground contacting surface, a chamfered portion arranged so as to surround the entire circumference of the ground contacting surface, and a main body portion arranged inside the chamfered portion in a tire radial direction. The main body portion is provided with at least one step-shaped portion that is bent stepwise in a transverse cross section orthogonal to the ground contacting surface.
PNEUMATIC TIRE
A tire has a tread including: a first circumferential groove which is closest to a center in a tire width direction among a plurality of circumferential grooves; center land portions placed adjacent to the first circumferential groove at a side near the center in the tire width direction, and a lug groove which extends between a plurality of the center land portions, and which opens to a side near the first circumferential groove. A bridge having a bottom surface which is bulged is formed at a portion of the lug groove near the first circumferential groove. The bridge has a cross-sectional shape of a trapezoid with tapered surfaces in which side surfaces of the lug groove at an end near a center in a longitudinal direction and an end near the first circumferential groove are inclined with heights thereof reduced toward corresponding ends of the bridge.
PNEUMATIC TIRE
A tire according to an embodiment has a tread including a circumferential groove, and a lug groove connected to the circumferential groove and extending from a first side in a tire width direction to a second side. The tire includes two first raised portions formed in the circumferential groove on a groove bottom at a positions either side of an end of the lug groove on a side near the circumferential groove, a second raised portion formed on a groove bottom of a portion of the lug groove on a side near the circumferential groove, and a third raised portion formed at an intersection of the circumferential groove with an extension of the lug groove, on at least a part of a groove bottom of a portion surrounded in three directions by the two first raised portions and the second raised portion.
Motorcycle tire for rough terrain
A motorcycle tire for running on rough terrain includes a tread portion. The tread portion includes a base surface and a plurality of blocks. The blocks include a crown block arranged on a tire equator side and a shoulder block arranged on a tread edge side. A height of the shoulder block from the base surface is larger than a height of the crown block from the base surface. The shoulder block is provided on the base surface side with a base portion that has a locally increased cross-section taken along the base surface.
Motorcycles tyre
Motorcycles tyre, comprising: a radial carcass structure (2); a belt structure (6) applied in radially outer position with respect to the radial carcass structure (2); a tread band (8) applied in radially outer position with respect to the belt structure (6). The tyre (1) has a curvature ratio (f/C) greater than or equal to about 0.25. The tread band (8) comprises: a plurality of blocks (14) mutually spaced so as to define a tread pattern with a void/solid ratio (1−Sb/St) comprised between about 25% and about 50%; transverse grooves (11) placed in succession along the circumferential extension of the tyre (1) and each substantially extending over the entire axial width of the tread band (8). Each transverse groove (11) substantially extends along an axial direction. Two successive transverse grooves (11) circumferentially delimit an assembly (12) of blocks (14) placed in succession over the entire axial width of the tread band (8). Circumferential grooves (13) delimit the blocks (14) of an assembly (12). A ratio between a circumferential length (LI) of the blocks (14) and a width (L2) of the transverse grooves (11) is equal to or greater than about 2.
Tyre
A tyre includes a tread portion having a tread surface provided with grooves extending in a tyre axial direction. The grooves each include an opening formed on the tread surface, a minimum portion located inwardly in a tyre radial direction of the opening and having a groove width being locally minimum, and a maximum portion located inwardly in the tyre radial direction of the minimum portion and having a groove width being locally maximum in a region inwardly in the tyre radial direction of the opening.
Tyre
A tyre includes a tread portion being provided with two circumferential grooves extending in a tyre circumferential direction to form a crown land portion therebetween. The crown land portion is provided with two or more crown grooves extending inwardly of the crown land portion from the respective circumferential grooves. Each crown groove includes wide-width regions and narrow-width regions having a groove width smaller than that of the wide-width regions, and the wide-width regions and the narrow-width regions are alternated.
