Molding element for manufacturing a noise reducing tread
The molding element has a plurality of contacting elements delimited by a plurality of grooves and has a molding surface for forming a contact face and a groove forming rib portion for forming the groove. The groove forming rib portion provides a space opening to one of the rib side faces and/or to the rib top face and an insert that is received in the space for forming a portion of the groove and a closing device in the groove. The insert is composed of thin plates stacked with one another. The forming plate assembly also comprises at notched plates of thickness t1, and each notched plate includes a notch for forming a flexible fence, and the notched plate has no area overlapping to the notch in the other notched plated adjacent thereto in sectional view in a direction along which the groove forming rib portion extends.
Tire
A tire includes a tread portion provided with at least one circumferentially extending zigzag main groove having a groove bottom, the at least one main groove including first inclined portions, second inclined portions each inclined in an opposite direction to the first direction, and first intersections where the first inclined portions and the second inclined portions are communicated with each other. The first inclined portions and the second inclined portions are arranged alternately in the tire circumferential direction. The first inclined portions are longer than the second inclined portions. The groove bottom of the at least one main groove is provided with at least one protruding part extending in a width direction of the at least one main groove, and a distance between the at least one protruding part and one adjacent first intersection is equal to or less than 2 times groove widths of the first intersections.
PNEUMATIC TYRE FOR A VEHICLE
The invention relates to a pneumatic vehicle tyre having a tread with at least one, in particular straight, circumferential groove (1) which is formed at profile depth (T.sub.1), is delimited by groove flanks (5, 6) and a groove base (4) of U-shaped cross section, and has a width (B.sub.1) which is ascertained at the tread periphery in the axial direction, wherein a number of projections (7), which are arranged distributed over the circumference of the circumferential groove (1) and are situated opposite one another in pairs in the axial direction, is formed on the groove base (4), possibly with connection to the groove flanks (5, 6), a groove path (8) of the circumferential groove (1), which groove path reaches profile depth (T.sub.1), has a constriction and is of symmetrical configuration with respect to a plane (E.sub.1) which is spanned by the radial direction and a vertical to the centre line of the circumferential groove (1), running between respective projections.
In a tyre of this kind, the projections should be configured in a more expedient manner with respect to the water discharge capacity of the circumferential groove.
This is achieved by way of the projections (7) ending at the groove flanks (5, 6) or at the groove base (4) in the circumferential direction and running in such a way that the groove path (8) runs symmetrically with respect to a second plane (E.sub.2), which is spanned by the centre line of the circumferential groove (1) and the radial direction, and is made up of two Venturi sections (10) which narrow in the manner of a funnel to form the constriction.
Pneumatic tire
In a pneumatic tire having a point-symmetric structure block pattern, narrow and wide outer blocks having different outer end positions in the lateral direction are alternately arranged in the circumferential direction. Among side blocks provided in a side region, large and small blocks are disposed respectively on the outer sides of the narrow and wide outer blocks in the lateral direction. The lateral and side grooves are continuous such that the groove width of the side groove connected to the wide portion of the lateral groove where the outer block converges toward the inner side in the radial direction, and the groove width of the side portion connected to the narrow portion of the lateral groove where the outer block widens toward the inner side in the radial direction, and the side block is tapered with an inner portion block width in the radial direction converges toward the wide portion.
Tire
A tire that can suppress an unused tire from giving an impression like a worn tire as compared with a case where the brightness of a tread surface and the brightness of a bottom surface of a groove are the same is obtained. The tread portion includes a tread portion including a tread surface and a groove that partitions the tread surface; and a plurality of protrusions that protrude from a bottom surface of the groove at a height of from 0.1 mm to 1.0 mm and are arranged at an interval of from more than 0.1 mm to 1.0 mm. A ratio of a height of the protrusions to a depth of the groove (protrusion height/groove depth) is from 0.02 to 0.2 mm.
TIRE
A tire includes a tread portion including a first shoulder land portion provided with first shoulder lateral grooves extending from a first tread edge to a first shoulder circumferential groove, a second shoulder land portion provided with second shoulder lateral grooves extending from a second tread edge and terminating within the second shoulder land portion, a first middle land portion provided with first middle lateral grooves extending from the first shoulder circumferential groove and terminating within the first middle land portion, a second middle land portion provided with outer and inner second middle lateral grooves respectively extending from the second crown circumferential groove and the second shoulder circumferential groove and terminating within the second middle land portion, and a crown land portion provided with crown lateral grooves extending from the first crown circumferential groove and terminating within the crown land portion.
