A heated fishing rod guide apparatus is provided to enable fishing in freezing conditions. A circuit strip overlay is positionable upon a fishing rod to situate a plurality of heating elements in heating contact with each of the plurality of guides disposed upon the fishing rod blank. Electrical energy supplied to each guide therefore resistively heats said guides to prevent the fishing line from freezing thereto to prevent snapping of the line as often otherwise occurs. At least one connector is disposed upon the handle of the fishing rod disposed in circuit with the circuit strip overlay. The at least one connector may be adapted for connection with at least one contact disposed upon a cold weather glove, to enable heating of the rod when held in hand, and, alternately, with an attachable contact to enable hands-free heating.

An adjustable fishing rod butt includes a first elongate member hingeably attached to a second elongate member. The first elongate member includes an opening on a bottom surface thereof extending at least into an interior thereof, and an alignment locking member secured about the opening on the bottom surface thereof. The alignment locking member includes an opening coaxially aligned with the opening in the first elongate member. The second elongate member includes an adjustable reel seat portion on an upper surface, and an angle positioning arm extending from a bottom surface and oriented to be received by the openings in the first elongate member and the alignment locking member. Similarly, the rod attachments are embodiments that represent alternative means to attach the fishing rod to the handle. A grip assembly configured for fixing a reel to a fishing rod includes a front seat grip non-movably fixable to a fishing rod, a gear rack on the front seat grip, a sliding grip movably fixable to the fishing rod and configured to slide in an axial direction of the fishing rod so as to selectively engage the front seat grip, a lever pivotally connected to the sliding grip, and at least one tooth provided on the lever. When the lever is actuated from an open position to a locked position, the at least one tooth engages the gear rack and the lever pulls the sliding grip toward the front seat grip on the fishing rod.

A grip assembly configured for fixing a reel to a fishing rod includes a front seat grip non-movably fixable to a fishing rod, a gear rack on the front seat grip, a sliding grip movably fixable to the fishing rod and configured to slide in an axial direction of the fishing rod so as to selectively engage the front seat grip, a lever pivotally connected to the sliding grip, and at least one tooth provided on the lever. When the lever is actuated from an open position to a locked position, the at least one tooth engages the gear rack and the lever pulls the sliding grip toward the front seat grip on the fishing rod.

A heated fishing pole is provided. The device has a hollow elongated body including at least one hand grip, a first open end, and a second closed end, thereby defining an interior volume. At least one heating element in the interior volume is in thermal communication with the at least one hand grip. The heating element is powered by a power source which is in communication with the at least one heating element. A cap is removably securable to the first open end providing access to the interior volume. When the cap is secured to the first open end, a watertight seal is formed preventing water from getting into the interior volume. A control is disposed on an external surface of either the at least one hand grip or the cap, which can be used to select the amount of heat output from the heating element into the hand grip.
