METHOD OF CONFIGURING A NETWORK OF TIRE MONITORING DEVICES
A method of configuring a network of tire monitoring devices using an untrusted device is provided. An untrusted device transmits first configuration data to a first tire monitoring device, and then receives a first input verifying that the first configuration data has been loaded to the first tire monitoring device and matches expected first configuration data. The untrusted device transmits second configuration data to a second tire monitoring device, and receives a second input verifying that the second configuration data has been loaded to the second tire monitoring device and matches expected second configuration data. The untrusted device transmits a command initializing generation of a cryptographic parameter by the first tire monitoring device, and causes the cryptographic parameter to be exchanged with the second tire monitoring device such that secure future communication is established between the first and second tire monitoring devices.
MODEL BASED TIRE WEAR ESTIMATION SYSTEM AND METHOD
A tire wear estimation system is provided. The system includes at least one tire that supports a vehicle. At least one sensor is affixed to the tire to generate a first predictor. A lookup table or a database stores data for a second predictor. One of the predictors includes at least one vehicle effect. A model receives the predictors and generates an estimated wear rate for the at least one tire.
Arithmetic model generation system, wear amount estimation system, and arithmetic model generation method
An arithmetic model generation system includes a tire information acquisition unit, a position information acquisition unit, a wear amount calculator, and an arithmetic model update unit. The tire information acquisition unit acquires tire data including a temperature and pressure of a tire. The position information acquisition unit acquires position data for a vehicle on which the tire is mounted. The wear amount calculator includes an arithmetic model that generates an estimated wear amount of at least one groove of the tire, the wear amount calculator calculating the estimated wear amount of at least one groove of the tire by using the arithmetic model by inputting the tire data and the position data. The arithmetic model update unit updates the arithmetic model based on a wear amount measured by a tire measurement device external to the vehicle and the estimated wear amount.
TIRE FITTING SYSTEM AND A METHOD THEREIN FOR SENSOR DISCRIMINATION
A tire fitting system and a method for discriminating between tire sensors of a wheel to be assembled on a vehicle is provided. The tire fitting system comprising a processing circuitry configured to receive an identity of an RFID tag mounted on a rim, or in a tire, of a wheel. The processing circuitry is also configured to receive, from the at least two tire sensors, tire sensor signals comprising status information indicating how their respective tire sensor was activated. The processing circuitry is further configured to determine which identity of the at least two tire sensors is to be associated with the identity of the RFID tag based on the status information.
Method for determining a recommended inflation pressure for an aircraft tire, and associated maintenance methods
A method determines an inflation pressure expected in an aircraft tire provided with a pressure and temperature sensor. Also disclosed is a method for assistance in the maintenance for an aircraft tire and also a portable electronic device intended for assistance in the maintenance.
Tire system
A tire system is configured to enable a general-purpose communication device to establish data communication with a tire-side device, thereby enabling transmission of data indicating a tire-related condition from the tire-side device to the general-purpose communication device. The general-purpose communication device acquires the tire-related condition, and reports the tire-related condition to the user via a notification unit. Based on the above, it is possible to report the tire-related condition via the general-purpose communication device based on the communication between the general-purpose communication device and the tire-side device.

The Bluetooth TPMS utilizes low-power Bluetooth wireless communication technology to transmit and receive signals, so as to meet the requirement in low power consumption.
Locking apparatus and locking method for tire pressure monitoring device
A locking apparatus and locking method for a tire pressure monitoring device. The apparatus comprises a base (1); an electrical appliance control module disposed in the base; a feeder, a pushing assembly (6), a shielding box module (7) and a discharging port (8) arranged on the base (1) in an entering-leaving order of the target tire pressure monitoring device to be locked in the locking process, wherein the shielding box module (7) includes a stepping motor, a lower shielding box (7-1) and an upper shielding box (7-2); the stepping motor is connected to the lower shielding box (7-1) by a screw lifting mechanism; a housing (9) matched with the base (1) is arranged at the upper part of the apparatus; the housing (9) is provided with a control computer; the control computer is connected with an industrial control programmable logic controller PLC.
Wear amount estimation method, wear amount estimation device, and wear amount estimation program
A wear amount estimation method calculates a shearing force of each rib based on an average grounding pressure of each rib of an aircraft tire; calculates a wear energy of the aircraft tire based on the shearing force; and estimates the wear amount of the aircraft tire based on the wear energy and a wear resistance showing a relationship between a predetermined wear amount. The information related to the aircraft includes an internal pressure of the aircraft tire. The average grounding pressure of each rib is calculated based on the internal pressure and a wheel load applied to the aircraft tire.
METHOD OF DETERMINING A TIRE PERFORMANCE CHARACTERISTIC OF A TIRE
A method of determining a tire performance characteristic of a tire. The method includes determining that a remote memory, remote from a tire monitoring device associated with the tire, is unavailable, and the remote memory is configured to store a performance coefficient of the tire corresponding to performance of the tire during a first time period. Where the remote memory is unavailable, the method includes either calculating the performance coefficient at a remote device or, obtaining, using the remote device, the performance coefficient from a local memory of the tire monitoring device. The method includes obtaining, using the remote device and from the tire monitoring device, a plurality of values indicative of a tire parameter of the tire during a second time period, and determining, at the remote device and based on the plurality of values and the performance coefficient, the tire performance characteristic.
