Wheel monitoring device
The invention relates to a wheel monitoring device (D) of the type comprising a housing (100) formed from a hollow core (101) containing different components including an electronic board (500) and a power supply battery (600) for said board (500), said housing (100) being positioned inside the tire and fixed to the internal portion (220) of the valve (200) fitted on the wheel, a polymer material filling in the free volume. The device is remarkable in that the housing (100) is preformed so as to provide at least two different superposed parallel installation planes (P1, P2) on which the different components are distributed, said housing (100) being preformed with a lateral opening to enable the different components to slide laterally into their appropriate installation plane (P1, P2).
Electronic unit for measuring operating parameters of a vehicle wheel
A tire monitoring system electronic unit suitable for being mounted either on the tire inflation valve or on the internal surface of the tire. The system includes electronics for managing the electronic unit including sensors for measuring parameters of the tire, a microprocessor and a supply battery, and an antenna configured to be mountable on the management electronics; a way of securing the antenna and the electronic managing device to each other; the management electronics thus forming a common base capable of being used with an antenna that can be adapted to the intended location of the electronic unit, either on the tire inflation valve or on the internal surface of the tire.
TPMS TRANSMITTER FIXING STRUCTURE AND ASSEMBLING STRUCTURE
A TPMS transmitter (100) fixing structure, comprising a valve stem and a core rod (200) in the middle of the valve stem, the core rod (200) having a connector suitable for connecting to the TPMS transmitter (100), and also comprising a protruding part protruding outward along the radial direction of the valve stem, such that, when the valve stem is mounted on a wheel rim (300) of an automobile, the protruding part is in contact with the wheel rim (300); adding a protruding part to the valve stem can counteract the rotational torque produced by the eccentricity and centrifugal force of the transmitter to forcefully prevent rotation of the transmitter during operation, and limits the mounting direction of the TPMS transmitter, ensuring that the TPMS transmitter is not biased when mounted on the wheel rim, and effectively reducing the risk of the loss of function or reduction in performance of the TPMS transmitter due to biased or backward mounting of the TPMS transmitter.
TIRE DATA COLLECTION AND COMMUNICATION DEVICE, MULTI-PURPOSE HANDHELD DATA COLLECTION AND COMMUNICATION TOOL, AND METHOD FOR COMMUNICATING TIRE DATA BETWEEN A VEHICLE TIRE AND A REMOTE COMPUTING DEVICE
A direct tire data collection and communication device is adapted for use in a pneumatic vehicle tire. The device incorporates a tire-mounted electronics module comprising a microcontroller, and at least one tire property sensor in electronic communication with the microcontroller and capable of measuring at least one operational property of the vehicle tire. The threshold operational property value defines a positive tire safety condition and a negative tire safety condition. The electronics module calculates accumulated travel data of the vehicle tire while in the negative tire safety condition. A transmitter transmits the travel data to an electronic remote terminal.

Provided is a tire information acquisition device. A sensor unit substrate on which a sensor for acquiring tire information and a power supply unit for supplying electric power to the sensor are disposed is provided, and a heat-insulating material is disposed at at least a periphery of the power supply unit.

A valve system for a tire parameter monitoring system includes a valve body having an elastomeric material and a connection element. The connection element includes a first engaging device with which the connection element is detachably connected to an electronic module of the tire parameter monitoring system, a second engaging device with which the connection element is detachably connected to the valve body, and a mounting section adapted to be detachably connected to a hole in a wheel rim. A tire parameter monitoring system and a method for mounting a tire parameter monitoring system to a wheel rim of a vehicle are also provided.
SYSTEM FOR MONITORING TIRE PRESSURE
A system for tire pressure monitoring has a tire valve for disposition on a rim of a vehicle and includes a tire valve stem and a tire valve base, a holding means being disposed on the tire valve base and a tire pressure monitoring unit having a housing in which a pressure sensor for measuring the tire pressure and a transmitter for wireless transmission of tire pressure data are disposed. The tire valve and the housing of the tire pressure monitoring unit can be fastened by means of a fastening element which is implemented in one piece or of the same material with the housing and which interacts with the holding means. The holding means and the fastening element are implemented such that a movement of the tire pressure monitoring unit on the tire valve base is only possible in the direction of a rim well.
TIRE PRESSURE MONITORING MODULE WITH THRU-VALVE CONSTRUCTION
A TPMS module includes a sensor body with two arcuate surfaces adjacent the opening. A tire valve includes two arcuate portions and a distal portion. A plurality of gripping teeth are disposed on the valve arcuate portions. The valve distal portion is provided in the sensor body opening and arranged such that the valve arcuate portions couple to the sensor body arcuate surfaces. The valve is coupled to the sensor body by the interaction of a seat and a grommet such that the gripping teeth interact with the sensor body arcuate surfaces to maintain an orientation of the valve with respect to the sensor body.
INFLATION VALVE FOR TYRE RIM WITH LIMITATION OF ELASTIC DEFORMATION
An inflation valve intended to be installed in a wheel rim orifice of a vehicle, the valve being of the elastic deformation type having a valve body made of an elastomer material and a hollow rigid tube. The inflation valve includes a device able to be fixed on the hollow rigid tube and having a portion allowing a rotational movement of the valve in a first rotational direction when the inflation valve is mounted in a hole of the rim, and a portion preventing the rotational movement of the valve in a second rotational direction opposite the first rotational direction, the resulting device acting to limit an elastic deformation of the valve.
Tire sensor location method and apparatus
A method of locating a wheel-mounted electronic device, such as a tire pressure monitoring device. A wireless signal is transmitted from an interrogation device from each of a plurality of interrogation locations. The signals are received by the wheel-mounted device and received signal strength is measured for each interrogation location. The wheel-mounted device then transmits, in respect of each interrogation location, a wireless signal indicating the measured signal strength. These signals are received by the interrogation device which determines from them a location of the wheel-mounted device with respect to a wheel.
