INFLATION SYSTEM FOR TUBELESS TIRES
An inflation valve for a tubeless tire may include a valve body defining a cavity having a proximal opening and a distal opening. A valve stem extends through the cavity and includes a plug at a proximal end of the valve stem. The proximal opening of the cavity is defined by a beveled surface, and an outer diameter of the beveled surface is larger than an inner diameter of the valve body. The valve is transitionable between: a) a closed position, where a resilient surface of the plug engages the beveled surface to seal the cavity, and b) an open position, where the resilient surface of the plug is spaced from the beveled surface to unseal the cavity.
INFLATION MANIFOLD
An inflation manifold connected to dual pneumatic tires by air hoses provides a central location for tire inflation and location of pressure sensors. A hose block connected to dual pneumatic tires by air hoses provides a central location for location of pressure sensors. The pressure sensors may be TPMS sensors or a combination of TPMS sensor and pressure gauge.
Multifunctional external inflating valve and mounting method for loading device of inflating valve
A multifunctional external inflating valve and a mounting method for a loading device are disclosed. An inflating valve body of the inflating valve includes a three-way through main body through from a side surface by a side surface connecting part connecting a loading device. A valve core is arranged in an axial middle hole. A hole cavity is formed in the front portion of the axial middle hole and connected to an original tire inflating valve. An outer conical surface is arranged on the front portion of the valve core. The front portion, comprising the outer conical surface, of the core protrudes out of the front end of the hole cavity of the main body. An core conical surface sealing rubber pipe is mounted on the outer conical surface of the core and seals the core and a conical hole sealing surface of a tire inflating valve inner hole cavity.
TIRE EMERGENCY SAFETY VALVE
A safety valve replaces a tire valve. The valve includes a generally elongate hollow main body having an upper portion, a lower flex hose connector, a side tubular branch having a valve seat with a ball valve, an electronics housing having a battery, motor and a drive pin for the ball valve. The lower flex hose connector is adapted for connection to a flex hose or valve stem of the vehicle tire. The side branch branches from the main body and communicates with the hollow interior of the main body. The side branch has a plurality of air exit apertures at its periphery. The valve seat includes a base with an aperture therein through which the drive pin can extend through to engage the ball valve. The ball valve sits in the base and is biased in the valve seat via a spring to cover the aperture.
Vehicle wheel monitoring system
A mobile electronic device (102, 300), and a method, for obtaining a tyre pressure reading from a tyre pressure sensor module (700) fitted to a valve of a pneumatic tyre (106), a tyre pressure sensor module, a locating feature (304, 400) and a tyre pressure gauge system comprising the above. The mobile electronic device comprising: a transmitter (202) and a receiver (200) to transmit and receive telecommunications signals over a distance of up to 4 cm to obtain the tyre pressure reading; and a locating feature to indicate when the transmitter and/or receiver are located within 4 cm or less of the tyre pressure sensor module. The tyre pressure sensor module comprising an antenna to detect a telecommunications signal from a mobile electronic device over a distance of up to 4 cm, a transmitter (902), a receiver (904) and a pressure sensor (916) to measure tyre pressure.
Tire pressure monitoring module with thru-valve construction
A TPMS module includes a sensor body with two arcuate surfaces adjacent the opening. A tire valve includes two arcuate portions and a distal portion. A plurality of gripping teeth are disposed on the valve arcuate portions. The valve distal portion is provided in the sensor body opening and arranged such that the valve arcuate portions couple to the sensor body arcuate surfaces. The valve is coupled to the sensor body by the interaction of a seat and a grommet such that the gripping teeth interact with the sensor body arcuate surfaces to maintain an orientation of the valve with respect to the sensor body.
Liquid height level device
A device for measuring a liquid level inside a tire that include two electrodes that are designed to be positioned inside the tire in such a way that they can be immersed inside the liquid that the tire may contain, and an electric circuit that is electrically connected to these electrodes. The device is designed to measure an electric property of the liquid between the electrodes while the intensity of the electric property depends on the liquid level inside the tire. The electric circuit is designed to output an electric value for the measured electric property as an output signal that can be used to calculate the level of the liquid inside the tire.
SENSOR ASSEMBLY FOR DETERMINING A PHYSICAL PROPERTY OF A VEHICLE
A sensor assembly providing a physical property of a vehicle, e.g. tire pressure of a wheel of an aircraft, comprises electronic circuitry including a locking arrangement and sensor suited to sense the physical property and an exhaustable power source, e.g. a battery. For prolonged shelf life, a first and a second switch means are functionally arranged between power source and circuitry. The second switch means is controlled by the locking arrangement, whereas the first switch means is controllable from outside the sensor assembly, e.g. by a magnetic field. The first switch means is arranged to switch the power to the electronic circuitry, whereby the locking arrangement is powered, too. In consequence, the locking arrangement is capable to close the second switch means. Thereafter, a further stimulus to the first switch will no more be capable to switch the sensor off, unless the locking arrangement enables it again by opening the second switch means.
VALVE FITTING FOR A TIRE ASSEMBLY OF A WORKING VEHICLE EQUIPPED WITH A CENTRAL TIRE INFLATION SYSTEM (CTIS)
A valve fitting includes a fitting body defining a fitting passageway, supply and working ports in fluid communication with the fitting passageway, a supply port coupler operable to connect the supply port with an associated feed port coupler providing a pressurized fluid, a working port coupler operable to connect the working port with an associated tire of a tire assembly of an associated work vehicle, a supply valve moveable in the fitting passageway between a first position closing the fitting passageway from the supply port and a second position opening the fitting passageway to the supply port, a biasing assembly biasing the supply valve towards the first position, and an actuator assembly comprising an actuator member operable to urge the supply valve towards the second position against the bias of the biasing assembly in response to the associated feed port coupler being connected with the supply port coupler.
