Group for supporting and tightening a rim of or for a tired wheel
The present invention regards a group for supporting and tightening a rim of or for a tired wheel, and such group includes a base, a wheel-holder table, an upright or column projecting upward from the base and supporting at the top the wheel-holder table, a shaft or pin mounted in or alongside the upright or column, a sleeve element or ring nut element constrainable or mountable on the shaft or pin and means for the relative movement of the shaft or pin and of the table.
Auto-adjust cylinder used with bead width adjusting apparatus
A chucking apparatus for positioning a tire in a tire uniformity machine includes an upper chuck assembly, a lower chuck assembly operative with the upper chuck assembly to capture a tire therebetween, and a dual piston cylinder coupled to the lower chuck assembly which moves the tire into engagement with the upper chuck assembly. The dual piston cylinder has an axially extending inner piston rod from which axially extends a field-replaceable inner piston stem.
Wheel balancer with wireless handle
A wheel clamping system, for reversibly clamping a motor vehicle wheel with a rim onto a wheel servicing machine, includes a handle for acting on a rim of the wheel mounted on a rotatable spindle. The handle has a coupling surface for engaging with clamping jaws of a pull rod when the clamping jaws are open. The handle includes a force detecting device for determining an amount of force exerted by the handle on the rim of the wheel, and a signal emitter operatively connected to the force detecting device. The signal emitter is configured to wirelessly transmit a control signal to a signal receiver of the wheel balancer operatively connected to an actuator causing axial movement of the pull rod when the determined amount of force reaches a predefined threshold, such that the actuator is actuated and the wheel clamping system performs a reversible clamping operation.
Wheel Clamp System For Tire Changing Machine
An axial clamping system for securing a wheel assembly onto a tire changer drive spindle. The clamping system consists of a shaft for engaging an axial bore of the drive spindle, configured with a set of ball bearings seated within radial bore arranged in a spiral configuration and which extend into a central bore of the shaft. Axial movement of a plunger within the central bore radially displaces the ball bearings to protrude outboard of the shaft outer surface, engaging a spiral channel within the drive spindle axial bore. Rotation of the clamping system within the drive spindle axial bore while the ball bearings engage the spiral channels, tightens a clamp nut against a wheel assembly seated on a flange of the drive spindle. Counter rotation and retraction of the plunger within the shaft releases the clamping forces, allowing for removal of the wheel assembly from the drive spindle.
High-precision intelligent centering device
A high-precision intelligent centering device, consisting of a symmetrical synchronous centering mechanism. The invention can meet the needs of wheel centering in use with the ideal effect and high efficiency. Work is safe and reliable, degree of automation is high, and it is especially suitable for mass production on the production line.
WHEEL SERVICE MACHINE AND METHOD FOR LOCKING A WHEEL TO A WHEEL SERVICE MACHINE
A wheel service machine (100) includes: a shaft (30) rotating abut its own longitudinal axis (A); an abutment element (40) for coming into abutment against the rim (C) supported by the shaft (30); a locking device (50) movable on the shaft (30) between an active position and a spaced-apart position; a clamping element (90) to clamp the locking device (50) and the shaft (30) to each other; a drive mechanism (60) for driving the clamping element (90); a command signal receiver (70), configured to drive the drive mechanism (60) responsive to a command signal; an emitter (80), to generate and emit the command signals; a manually transportable drive unit (1), configured to be movably rested on a supporting surface and including a control member (2), movable between an inactive position and an active position, and the emitter (80), which is connected to the control member (2) to generate the command signal responsive to the movement of the control member (2) from the inactive position to the active position.
