The lifting device (500) also comprises a lifting actuator to move the supporting platform (502) between the raised position and the lowered position, and a box-shaped body (600) that is operatively coupled to the flank (400b) of the frame (400); the lifting actuator is at least partly positioned in the box-shaped body.

DEVICE FOR UNSEATING TIRE BEADS FROM RIMS
20190315167 · 2019-10-17 ·

A device for unseating tire beads of a tire from a rim comprises a pair of substantially facing first and second jaws adapted to receive the tire substantially vertically therebetween and to be displaced relative to one another, and transversally of the tire, for exerting pressure on the tire sidewalls, adjacent the rim, such as to detach (unseat) the tire from the rim. Generally, one jaw remains in position while the other, i.e. mobile, jaw is displaced towards the tire sidewall, for instance by way of a pneumatic cylinder that displaces the mobile jaw towards the tire and the other jaw. The positions of at least one of the jaws can also be adjusted so as to accommodate tires and rims of different configurations, e.g. diameters, whereby the jaw(s) can be adjustably brought, prior to engaging the tire, to a location where the jaw(s) will ultimately engage the tire sidewall at a location close to the rim. This is typically done once the wheel has been positioned in the device and prior to causing the displacement of the mobile jaw via the actuated cylinder. The mobile jaw can be mounted on a pivotable parallelogram linkage. A mobile abutment unit is provided to provide support for the tire sidewall adjacent the other jaw, wherein the other jaw is located between the rim and the mobile abutment unit during the unseating operation of the tire from the rim.

Machine for unseating a tire bead from a wheel, comprising a stand designed to rest on the ground, a bearing plate for the wheel, and a bead unseating tool which is connected to a tool bearing structure mobilely mounted to the stand. The machine comprises a pneumatic actuator for setting the tool bearing structure in motion in order to operate the tool, and a shock absorber connecting the tool bearing structure to the stand in order to damp the movement of the tool bearing structure, particularly at the moment at which the tire bead unseats from the rim of the wheel.

TYRE CHANGING MACHINE

A tyre changing machine includes a frame; a wheel support assembly mounted on the frame for locking and setting in rotation a rim of a wheel; at least a bead breaking arm; and a bead breaking tool adapted to carry out the bead breaking operation of the tyre of the wheel. The bead breaking arm is movable between a disengaged position, in which the bead breaking tool is substantially distanced with respect to the tyre, and a working position, in which the bead breaking tool can engage on the tyre. A motor device has an output drive shaft for moving the bead breaking arm. The tyre changing machine further includes means for transmitting drive from the motor device to the bead breaking arm or to the wheel support assembly and adapted to activate the bead breaking arm or the wheel support assembly.

A tire removal assembly includes a press that has a base and an actuator. The base may be positioned on a support surface and the actuator is spaced from the base. The actuator may be fluidly coupled to an air source thereby facilitating the actuator to move downwardly with respect to the base. The actuator is biased to move upwardly with respect to the base. The press may have a tire positioned between the base and the actuator thereby facilitating the actuator to engage the tire such that the actuator breaks a bead on the tire.
