A device and method for extricating a dually vehicle from being stuck in a rut soft ground where a middle section of a tube is affixed to the outside tire leaving an inside segment against the inside dually tire and an outside segment extending perpendicularly away from the outside tire. The dually vehicle rotates the tires, then affixed to the tube, to gain traction and step up and out of the rut.

A tire traction device can include a strap configured to extend around at least a portion of a vehicle tire; and a traction plate. The traction plate can have a lower surface adapted to sit on a circumferential portion of the vehicle tire, an upper surface opposite to the lower surface, a channel configured to receive the strap, and one or more paddles extending upward from the upper surface. A traction aid apparatus for a motor vehicle wheel. The apparatus has an elongated main body; a first securing member located at the first end or near the first end of the elongated main body and projecting downwardly comprising a surface for engaging a first side wall of the motor vehicle tire; a second securing member projecting from the elongated main body comprising a surface for engaging a second side wall of the motor vehicle tire opposite the first side wall of the motor vehicle tire, a tension mechanism connected to the elongated main body or the second securing member; and a flexible wheel engaging member that is configured to pass through an aperture in the motor vehicle wheel to the tension mechanism to secure the traction aid apparatus to the motor vehicle wheel.

A tire traction device can include a primary strap configured to extend around at least a portion of a vehicle tire; a traction plate having a channel configured to receive the primary strap, and one or more traction-enhancing surfaces extending from the channel; and a base member having a first surface adapted to sit on a circumferential portion of the vehicle tire, and a second surface opposite to the first surface, wherein the second surface defines a recess adapted to receive the channel of the traction plate. A traction aid for a motor vehicle, comprising an elongated main body having a top and a bottom surfaces, the elongated main body having thereon a series of teeth and a sliding mechanism, a first securing member located at an end of the main body and projecting downwardly and a second securing member located at the bottom surface of the main body and attached to the sliding mechanism. The sliding mechanism allows movement of the second securing member towards or away from the first securing member along the bottom surface of the main body. The traction aid further comprises a securing mechanism configured to move the sliding mechanism and the second securing member towards the first securing member in order to squeeze a tire of the motor vehicle between the first and second securing members.
