Mobility vehicle

A mobility vehicle may comprise a frame, a first pivot arm, a second pivot arm, and a suspension assembly. The first pivot arm may be coupled to the frame and coupled to a drive wheel. The second pivot arm may be coupled to the frame and coupled to a ground engaging caster wheel. The suspension assembly may be coupled to the frame. The suspension assembly may include a first spring assembly and a second spring assembly. The first spring assembly may be disposed about a first spring axis and coupled to the first pivot arm. The second spring assembly may be disposed about a second spring axis and coupled to the second pivot arm. The first spring axis and the second spring axis may be disposed relative to each other at an angle of no greater than about 150? when the mobility vehicle is operating on horizontal ground.

Independent suspension with airbag

An independent suspension assembly for a vehicle, said assembly including: a suspension arm pivotally attachable at a first end to a point fast with the vehicle; a support member for rigid attachment of a lower end of a resilient member at a remote end of the suspension arm the resilient member having a remote side and a near side, the remote side being further from said point than the near side; and a pivoting mounting assembly attachable to the vehicle for attachment of an upper end of the resilient member; wherein pivoting of the suspension arm causes the resilient member to elicit pivoting of the pivoting assembly for minimizing a difference in lengthening between the remote and near sides of the resilient member.

Highly mobile vehicle suspension system with blast mitigation features

In one embodiment, there is disclosed a modular, blast resistant suspension module for an armored vehicle. Each suspension module has a first and second axle assembly. The first axle assembly has a Short-Long Arm (SLA) suspension system pivotally connected to a blast resistant differential housing and the second axle assembly has a Road Arm (RA) suspension system pivotally connected to the differential housing. The suspension modules may be used to form 44 or 88 vehicle configurations.

SWING ARM STRUCTURE FOR SADDLE RIDING VEHICLE
20180244337 · 2018-08-30 ·

A swing arm structure for a saddle riding vehicle including: a pivot section swingably supported by a vehicle body frame of the saddle riding vehicle; an arm section extending from the pivot section toward a rear side of a vehicle body of the saddle riding vehicle and configured to support an axle of a rear wheel of the saddle riding vehicle at a rear section; and a first reinforcement section formed of a carbon fiber reinforced resin in which carbon fibers are oriented uniformly in a vehicle body forward/rearward direction, wherein the first reinforcement section is installed on a lower surface of the arm section.

Metrology-based system for operating a flexible manufacturing system

A method and apparatus for positioning an end effector relative to a fuselage assembly. A configuration of the fuselage assembly may be determined. The end effector may be positioned relative to the fuselage assembly based on the configuration determined. A set of actual reference locations may be identified for a set of reference points on the fuselage assembly. The end effector may be positioned at an operation location based on the set of actual reference locations identified.

AGRICULTURAL MACHINE
20180213723 · 2018-08-02 ·

An agricultural machine including a frame, at least one operating unit connected to the frame, at least one wheel or crawler track rotatably attached to the frame to allow the movement of the machine on a supporting surface and a lifting unit operatively interposed between the frame and the wheel or between the frame and the operating unit, configured to vary the height of the operating unit with respect to the supporting surface of the machine. The lifting unit includes at least one hydraulic cylinder provided with a liner, a first and a second piston both slidingly housed inside the liner and arranged in series to define at least a first and a second chamber inside the liner, wherein the first and the second piston can be controlled independently of each other.

Two-Stage Riveting

A method and apparatus for installing a fastener. A reactive structural force is generated in a first direction during installation of the fastener. A new reactive structural force is generated in a second direction opposite to the first direction during the installation of the fastener.

Mobile platforms for performing operations along an exterior of a fuselage assembly

A method and apparatus for performing an assembly operation. A tool may be macro-positioned relative to an exterior of a fuselage assembly. The tool may be micro-positioned relative to a particular location on the exterior of the fuselage assembly. An end effector is removably associated with an external robotic device associated with an external mobile platform. The tool is removably associated with the end effector. An assembly operation may be performed at the particular location on the panel using the tool.

Pivotal connection for heavy-duty vehicle suspension assembly

A suspension assembly of an axle/suspension system for a heavy-duty vehicle is mounted on the heavy-duty vehicle frame or sub-frame via a beam of the suspension assembly which is pivotally connected to a hanger connected to the vehicle frame. The pivotal connection includes the hanger, the beam, a bushing assembly and a fastener group, and a textured feature formed in at least one of at least a portion of the hanger, at least a portion of the bushing assembly, or at least a portion of the fastening means so that the textured feature inhibits relative movement of the bushing assembly with respect to the hanger.

Utility Fixture for Creating a Distributed Utility Network

A method and apparatus for distributing a number of utilities. The number of utilities may be coupled between a number of utility sources and a utility fixture. The number of utilities may be coupled between the utility fixture and a mobile system.
