OFF-ROAD RECREATIONAL VEHICLE

A utility vehicle including a frame, a body supported by the frame, a seating area supported by the frame, front and rear ground engaging members supporting the frame and the body, and a powertrain drivingly coupled to the front and rear ground engaging members. The powertrain includes a transmission and an engine having a plurality of cylinders. The engine includes an intake manifold, a throttle valve, and an exhaust. The intake manifold and throttle valve are positioned longitudinally forward of the plurality of cylinders and the exhaust is positioned longitudinally rearward of a forwardmost portion of the plurality of cylinders.

Mobility vehicle

A mobility vehicle may comprise a frame, a first pivot arm, a second pivot arm, and a suspension assembly. The first pivot arm may be coupled to the frame and coupled to a drive wheel. The second pivot arm may be coupled to the frame and coupled to a ground engaging caster wheel. The suspension assembly may be coupled to the frame. The suspension assembly may include a first spring assembly and a second spring assembly. The first spring assembly may be disposed about a first spring axis and coupled to the first pivot arm. The second spring assembly may be disposed about a second spring axis and coupled to the second pivot arm. The first spring axis and the second spring axis may be disposed relative to each other at an angle of no greater than about 150 when the mobility vehicle is operating on horizontal ground.

Traveling car

A traveling car includes a car body and a driver. The driver has a motor that is attached to the car body, a drive wheel, a support that supports the drive wheel, and a transmission that transmits rotary drive force to the drive wheel. The support has a holder that rotatably supports the drive wheel and is attached to the car body so as to rotate about a rotation axis M extending in the horizontal direction. The transmission has an output pulley that is coupled to the motor and is located on the car body, an input pulley that is coupled to the drive wheel and is located on the holder, and a belt wound around the output pulley and the input pulley. The rotation axis M is located coaxial with the output pulley.

Trailer axle cartridge

Disclosed herein is an axle cartridge member for receiving a pair of torsion stub axles. The axle cartridge member includes a pair of laterally opposed bases, with each base defining a cavity therein for receiving an elongated stub housing of the torsion stub axles. The axle cartridge member also includes a pair of axle mounts that each includes a lateral opening extending into the cavity defined in the respective base, and an arch including a crossbar extending at a height above the bases wherein the arch further includes a portion that extends upward from each of the bases at an angle and meets the crossbar that extends generally horizontally between the portions of the arch.

Implementations extend to a height adjustable single axle trailer. The trailer can be configured for efficient loading, transportation, and unloading of vehicles, such as side-by-side vehicles. In one implementation, the trailer's T-shape frame includes a longitudinal support with a latitudinal support (axle) affixed to the longitudinal support's rear end. The trailer further includes a hydraulic pump, a battery, and a remote control to operate the raising and lowering of the trailer. The trailer also features first and second suspension arms connected to the latitudinal support, each incorporating lower and upper housings, hydraulic rams, and springs housed within the lower and upper housings, thereby enabling flexible movement of the latitudinal support of the trailer. The hydraulic rams can be controlled to transition the latitudinal support between a lower loading position and an upper transport position.

Autonomous flexible manufacturing system for building a fuselage

A method and apparatus for building a fuselage assembly for an aircraft. A number of fixtures may be drive across a floor to an assembly area to form an assembly fixture. The fuselage assembly may be built on the assembly fixture.

Two-stage riveting

A method and apparatus for fastening two parts together. An initial interference fit may be created between a fastener and at least a portion of a hole extending through the two parts while maintaining a force equilibrium. A final interference fit may be created between the fastener and the hole, while maintaining a new force equilibrium.
