A lower-side spring receiving member is adapted to receive a compression spring provided with an effective part, end turn parts which do not elastically deform, and rising parts located between the effective part and the end turn parts, at a lower side of the compression spring. The lower-side spring receiving member is provided with a contact part which is formed to protrude outward from an end at one side in the extending direction thereof, and which is in contact with the rising part so as not to form a gap between the contact part and the rising part. The contact part is in contact with the rising part of the compression spring by an elastic force caused by elastic deformation, regardless of a load on the compression spring.

JOUNCE BUMPER

Provided herein is a jounce bumper (18) for mounting in a vehicle suspension system (2) comprising a shock absorber (6), the jounce bumper (18) having a central bore (20) extending in an axial direction (A). The jounce bumper (18) comprises an elastically compressible bumper portion (24) comprising a plurality of convolutes stacked in an axial direction (A) of the jounce bumper (18), each convolute comprising a crest (26) and a root (28). A cross-section of the compressible portion (24) perpendicular to the axial direction (A) is non-circular, the non-circular shape being configured to provide a variable compression resistance in relation to an axial compression displacement (Cd) of the jounce bumper (18).

A shock assembly is disclosed. The assembly includes a damper chamber having an outer wall with a first inner diameter (ID). A secondary chamber within the damper chamber, the secondary chamber comprising an exterior wall with an external diameter (ED) less than the ID of the outer wall to form an annular region therebetween. A damping piston coupled to a piston rod, the damping piston disposed in the secondary chamber and axially movable relative to the secondary chamber, the damping piston to bifurcate the secondary chamber into a compression side and a rebound side. A valve to control a flow of a working fluid between the annular region and the secondary chamber.

SPRING COUPLER AND CROSSOVER DAMPER

A dual rate spring system is disclosed. The dual rate spring system can include a first spring and a spring coupler that have different spring rates. The dual rate spring system can include a two piece crossover ring, a two piece spring coupler, or both. The two piece crossover ring can include a first damper. The two piece spring coupler can include a second damper. The first and second damper can reduce a noise or harshness of jolt associated with a transition from the first spring to the second spring.

WEAR SLEEVE FOR A SHOCK BODY

A wear sleeve for a shock body is disclosed. The wear sleeve inner diameter (ID) that is larger than an outer diameter (OD) of a shock body. A wear sleeve OD that is smaller than a spring coupler ID, such that the wear sleeve will fit about the outside of said shock body and between the shock body and the spring coupler.

Utility vehicle

A utility vehicle includes a plurality of ground-engaging members, a frame, a powertrain assembly, a front suspension assembly, and a rear suspension assembly. A cargo bed may be supported by the frame at the rear of the vehicle. The vehicle also includes an operator seat and at least one passenger seat positioned within an operator area. In one embodiment, the vehicle includes doors to enclose the operator area.
