TURNING SYSTEM FOR VEHICLE
In a turning system for a vehicle, a toe angle change is acquired based on an estimated stroke which is a stroke of a suspension which is estimated based on a moving state of a vehicle and an actual stroke which is an actual stroke of the suspension detected by a stroke sensor, and control of a turning angle of a vehicle wheel is performed based on the acquired toe angle change. Accordingly, it is possible to appropriately perform control of a turning angle even in travel.
SUSPENSION JOINING STRUCTURE
A suspension joining structure may include a lower arm which has one end portion fastened to a vehicle body, an assist knuckle on which a strut portion is located, a fastening unit which is configured so that a second end portion of the lower arm and a lower end portion of the assist knuckle are fastened, a revoknuckle which is pivotally fastened to the assist knuckle to be rotated independently of the assist knuckle to perform the steering of a wheel, and a steering input portion fastened to the revoknuckle and configured to apply a steering force to the revoknuckle upon the steering of the wheel.
ENERGY CONVERSION DEVICES AND RELATED SYSTEMS
An energy conversion assembly including an input shaft coupled to a first annular gear through a first direction limiting device configured to allow rotation of the first annular gear in a first direction and substantially inhibit rotation of the first annular gear in a second direction. The input shaft may be coupled to a second annular gear through a second direction limiting device configured to allow rotation of the second annular gear in the second direction and substantially inhibit rotation of the second annular gear in the first direction. The assembly may include a first transmitting gear engaged with the first annular gear, a second transmitting gear engaged with the second annular gear, a conversion gear operatively coupled to the second transmitting gear, and a transmitting shaft coupled to the first transmitting gear and the conversion gear.
Front suspension device for vehicle
A front suspension device for a vehicle that, when a collision load acts on a suspension arm, reduces the detachment amount of a subframe mounting portion on the rear side from a vehicle body, absorbs collision load energy, and reduces an input to a rear axially supporting portion for a subframe. The front suspension device for a vehicle includes a subframe; a suspension arm having an outer end on which a front wheel is pivotally supported, and an inner end pivotally supported with respect to the subframe; a subframe mounting portion for mounting the subframe to a vehicle body through a fastener from below on the rear side relative to a front-wheel axially supporting portion of the suspension arm; and an upward bend inducing portion for bending the suspension arm upward when a suspension arm frontal collision load is input via the front wheel to the suspension arm.
Vehicle strut assembly
A vehicle strut assembly includes a boot and a coil spring. The boot has a vertical wall, a spring receiving portion and a centering portion projecting from the vertical wall. The coil spring has an end section, a transition section and a main section, the end section being fitted to the spring receiving portion encircling at least a portion of the vertical wall and defining a first radially inner diameter. The transition section has an increasing inner diameter extending from the end section to the main section. The main section defines a second radially inner diameter greater than the first radially inner diameter. The centering portion is positioned to contact a radially inner surface of the transition section of the coil spring restricting movement of the end section of the coil spring relative to the spring receiving portion of the boot.
Vehicle suspension component with stiffening feature
A vehicle suspension component, such as a lower control arm, that includes first and second stamped metal shells, a stiffening feature, and several connection nodes for operably connecting the suspension component to the rest of the vehicle suspension system. The first and second stamped metal shells may be stamped from next generation steel that is lightweight and strong, and are joined together in a clam shell or box-style type design so that the connections nodes are sandwiched therebetween. The stiffening feature may include a depression, a depression perimeter that at least partially surrounds the depression, a depression sidewall, a depression floor, and a depression weld, wherein the depression weld joins the shell interior surfaces of the first and second stamped metal shells together.
Coupling structure of suspension
A coupling structure of a suspension, may include a lower arm having one end portion engaged with a vehicle body, an assist knuckle in which a strut is located, a RevoKnuckle engaged with the assist knuckle, rotated independently from the assist knuckle, and configured to perform steering of a vehicle wheel, a steering input portion fixed to the vehicle body and configured to apply a steering force to the RevoKnuckle during steering, and a rotation transmission unit which is engaged with the RevoKnuckle and the steering input portion and has a length which is varied in a response to a wheel rebound of a vehicle.
Suspension device for vehicles
A suspension device for vehicles (a front suspension (10)) is disclosed in which, of connecting portions (23, 24) of a lower arm (20) and a tie rod (6) for connection to a knuckle (35), one of the connecting portions (24) which is close to the rear of the vehicle is offset inward in the vehicle width direction with respect to the other connecting portion (23) which is close to the front of the vehicle, in the steering neutral state. The center (P2) of a lower end portion of a coil spring (60) is offset outward in the vehicle width direction and rearward in the vehicle's longitudinal direction with respect to the center (P1) of an upper end portion of the coil spring (60).
