HYDRAULIC ASSEMBLY
An assembly includes a spring seat, a spring seat insert, and a seal. The spring seat is slidable along the spring seat insert to define an expandable fluid chamber therebetween. The spring seat includes a groove defining a mating surface. The seal is between the spring seat and the spring seat insert. The seal includes a mating portion at the first end engageable with the mating surface of the groove to prevent fluid from exiting the fluid chamber.
Active suspension system
A suspension system includes a primary actuator, an inertial actuator, and a controller. The primary actuator applies force between a sprung mass and an unsprung mass of a vehicle to control movement therebetween. The inertial actuator applies force between the unsprung mass and a reaction mass to damp movement of the unsprung mass. The inertial actuator has a threshold capacity. The controller controls the primary actuator and the inertial actuator. The controller determines a required damping of the movement of the unsprung mass, and apportions the required damping between the primary actuator and the inertial actuator.
WEAR SLEEVE FOR A SHOCK BODY
A wear sleeve for a shock body is disclosed. The wear sleeve inner diameter (ID) that is larger than an outer diameter (OD) of a shock body. A wear sleeve OD that is smaller than a spring coupler ID, such that the wear sleeve will fit about the outside of said shock body and between the shock body and the spring coupler.
MANUFACTURING METHOD OF SPRING PAD FOR AUTOMOBILE SUSPENSION SYSTEM USING FOAM INJECTION MOLDING
Disclosed herein is a manufacturing method of a spring pad interposed among a spring used in an automobile suspension system and an upper sheet and a lower sheet for supporting the spring, wherein the spring pad includes an insulator getting in contact with the spring to absorb shock and forming a body of the spring pad, and is manufactured through foam injection molding of the insulator to be lightweight.
COILOVER SHOCK WITH ADJUSTABLE CROSSOVER
A coilover shock with adjustable crossover is disclosed, in which, in some embodiments, a pre-load collar of a coilover shock may be adjustable in length, so as to engage the spring divider, when the tender coil spring is partially compressed during a compression stroke of the coilover shock, to prevent further compression of the tender coil spring and begin compression of the main coil spring. In some embodiments, the spring divider may be adjustable in length, so as to engage the pre-load collar, when the tender coil spring is partially compressed during a compression stoke of the coilover shock, to prevent further compression of the tender coil spring and begin compression of the main coil spring. In some embodiments, an adjustable pre-load collar, or an adjustable spring divider, may be controlled remotely, such as by a controller located in the driver compartment of the vehicle.
Suspension pre-load adjustment system
A suspension system for a vehicle and method for operating the same includes a shock absorber housing having a longitudinal axis, a spring disposed around the shock absorber housing and a retainer collar disposed around the shock absorber housing. An actuator coupled to the retainer housing moves at least a portion of the retainer housing to move the spring in a direction corresponding the longitudinal axis.
Friction Free Roller Spring Perch
A method for constructing a roller spring perch has steps for cutting holes through sides of a spring perch bracket along an axis at a right angle to the sides of the bracket, cutting a tube having an outside diameter substantially the same as an inside diameter of the holes cut through the sides of the bracket, to a length longer than a dimension across the sides of the bracket, counterboring the tube from each end to an inside diameter and a length to accommodate roller bearings, and inserting the tube through the holes in the sides of the bracket, and spot welding the tube in place.
Vehicle weight measurement device
A vehicle weight measurement device includes a diaphragm which covers an opening area of a groove portion of a mounting part to form an oil chamber of a predetermined space together with the groove portion; a pressure sensor which detects a change in pressure of measurement fluid in the oil chamber; a first piston which presses the diaphragm; a second piston which presses the first piston; and a bearing unit interposed between the second piston and a spring bush which receives one end of a spring of a suspension device and is relatively rotatable. The bearing unit includes a thrust needle bearing which swingably supports a load in a longitudinal direction of the suspension device, and a slide bush which does not receive a load in the longitudinal direction and receives a load in a radial direction while causing constant damping to swinging.
SUSPENSION THRUST BEARING DEVICE AND SUSPENSION STRUT EQUIPED WITH SUCH A DEVICE
A suspension thrust bearing device for use with a suspension spring in an automotive suspension strut of a vehicle. The device provides a bearing having upper and lower annular bearing members in relative rotation, and a damping element made of resilient material and interposed between the lower annular bearing member and the suspension spring. The damping element including at least one deflecting flange for reducing any ingress of water and other pollutants between the upper and lower annular bearing members. The damping element is provided with an annular groove open axially towards the suspension spring, the annular groove radially defining a spring support surface on an inner side, and the deflecting flange on an outer side. The deflecting flange has a frustoconical shape directed axially towards the suspension spring.
DEVICE FOR ADJUSTING HEIGHT OF VEHICLE
A vehicle height adjustment system includes: an input housing part having a space in which working fluid is stored; an input piston part positioned in the input housing part, the input piston part configured to move along a lengthwise direction of the input housing part; a lead screw inserted into the input piston part, the lead screw configured to move in response to receiving external power; and a connection part fastening the input piston part with the lead screw.
