A method controls a user interface and an air-conditioning unit of a vehicle. The user interface includes display and operating elements. The method displays a plurality of the elements on the user interface, receives at least two operation parameters of the air-conditioning unit, determines one or more display parameters for a first element from the plurality of elements on the basis of the at least two operation parameters, and displays the first element on the basis of the one or more display parameters.

Suspension control arm with integrated resilient element

There is provided a control arm comprising a shell-like shell of a first material and a reinforcement of a plastic material, wherein the reinforcement has a flex-element which protrudes therefrom and which can be supported or guided by means of a vehicle structure in order in the event of jounce and/or rebound of the suspension to produce a resilient action equivalent to a conventional spring.

FRONT SUSPENSION DEVICE FOR VEHICLE

A front suspension device for a vehicle that, when a collision load acts on a suspension arm, reduces the detachment amount of a subframe mounting portion on the rear side from a vehicle body, absorbs collision load energy, and reduces an input to a rear axially supporting portion for a subframe. The front suspension device for a vehicle includes a subframe; a suspension arm having an outer end on which a front wheel is pivotally supported, and an inner end pivotally supported with respect to the subframe; a subframe mounting portion for mounting the subframe to a vehicle body through a fastener from below on the rear side relative to a front-wheel axially supporting portion of the suspension arm; and an upward bend inducing portion for bending the suspension arm upward when a suspension arm frontal collision load is input via the front wheel to the suspension arm.

Vehicle front end assembly

A vehicle front end assembly includes an engine cradle, a transverse link and a fastener. The engine cradle has an upper attachment portion and a lower attachment portion, both being rigidly attached to the engine cradle. The upper attachment portion has a recessed area that includes a first opening extending through the recessed area. The upper attachment portion has a first overall thickness with a portion of the recessed area surrounding the first opening having a second thickness that is greater than the first thickness. The lower attachment portion has a second opening below the first opening. The transverse link has an inboard portion with a third opening that extends through the inboard portion. The fastener passes through the first opening, the third opening and the second opening such that the fastener retains the transverse link to the upper attachment portion and the lower attachment portion of the engine cradle.

FRONT SUSPENSION APPARATUS

A front suspension apparatus in which a front side of a suspension arm can be cut off from a subframe at the time of a small overlap collision without a complication of structure and formability. A front suspension apparatus in which a lower arm from which a front wheel is suspended is provided, and a front arm portion and a rear arm portion of the lower arm are axially supported by axially supporting portions of a subframe is characterized in that an axially supporting portion of the front arm portion is joined to the subframe at a joined portion extending in a vehicle width direction, a joined portion extending in an up-down direction, and a joined portion extending in a front-rear direction, and a joining strength of a joined portion in the front-rear direction is lower than a joining strength of the joined portion in the up-down direction.

SUBFRAME STRUCTURE OF FRONT SUSPENSION

A subframe structure of a front suspension that leads a subframe and a vehicle driving apparatus to the lower side after separation of a rear portion of the subframe due to a frontal collision without increasing weight and parts. A subframe structure of the front suspension provides a subframe that supports a vehicle driving apparatus in a mounting manner, and a rear portion of the subframe is mounted on a lower portion of a vehicle body via a fastening member. Fastening between the subframe and the fastening member is configured such that the rear portion of the subframe is separated when a collision load to a vehicle rear side is applied to the subframe. A leading guide portion that abuts against the fastening member and leads the subframe to a lower side after separation from the fastening member is integrally formed on the rear portion of the subframe.

Front wheelhub assembly disconnection arrangement for a road vehicle
10822027 · 2020-11-03 · ·

A front wheel hub assembly disconnection arrangement configured to promote disconnection and outwards movement of a front wheel hub assembly from a vehicle body structure during a small partial overlap collision, including: a steering knuckle breaker and the front wheel hub assembly including a wheel hub and a steering knuckle for connection to a tie rod of a steering mechanism, the steering knuckle arranged on a rearward facing portion of the wheel hub, wherein the steering knuckle breaker is arranged on an A-pillar of the vehicle body structure and includes an impact surface facing the steering knuckle when the wheel hub is in a neutral position, such that in the event of a small overlap collision, the steering knuckle is displaced towards and collides with the steering knuckle breaker, such that the steering knuckle breaker breaks the steering knuckle and disconnects the steering knuckle from the wheel hub.

Wheel suspension

A wheel suspension (1) for a motor vehicle, having a wheel carrier (3) which is mounted so that the wheel carrier (3) can pivot relative to a wheel-guiding control arm (4). The wheel-guiding control arm (4) includes a longitudinal control arm section (4a) with a forward body-side bearing (11) and a transverse control arm section (4b) with a rear body-side bearing (12). The rear body-side bearing (12) is designed as a ball joint.

Front subframe structure

A front subframe structure includes front and rear cross members, a pair of left and right side members, and a vehicle body mounting portion disposed on front ends of the side members. The side member has a lateral widening portion at a front end thereof, wherein the lateral widening portion bulges outward in a vehicle width direction. The front cross member has a front widening portion at an end portion thereof in the vehicle width direction, wherein the front widening portion bulges forward of the vehicle. A portion of the front cross member excluding the front widening portion is disposed on the rear side with respect to the vehicle body mounting portion, and on the front side with respect to a rear end of the lateral widening portion.
