A stabilizer includes a stabilizer bar and a rubber bush. The stabilizer bar includes a bar body made of a steel and a coating film covering the bar body. The coating film is formed on the surface of the bar body by using a resin having a water contact angle of more than 65. By performing surface treatment for reducing the contact angle of the coating film present on an attachment part, the contact angle of the attachment part is changed to 65 or less. A pre-cured liquid adhesive agent is applied to an inner surface (adhesion surface) of the rubber bush. After a region including the attachment part of the stabilizer bar is heated, the rubber bush is overlaid on the attachment part. The adhesive agent is cured in a state where the rubber bush is pressed.

A hollow coil spring is made of a hollow wire in which a terminal sealed portion is formed on an end portion of the wire. The terminal sealed portion has a rotationally symmetric shape in which an axis passing through the center of the wire is the symmetric axis. The hollow coil spring includes an end wall portion, and an end face arc-shaped curved surface. The end wall portion includes an end face perpendicular to the axis. A distal-end-center closure portion is formed on the axis at the center of the end wall portion. A spring seat includes a base member and a sheet member. An end turn portion of the hollow coil spring is in contact with the sheet member. The end face of the end turn portion is opposed to a stopper wall of the spring seat.

PROTECTIVE MEMBER FOR COIL SPRINGS AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE SAME

Provided is a protective member for coil springs, including a tube main body that covers a coil spring of a suspension, wherein the tube main body is made of thermoplastic polyurethane that includes a prepolymer and a chain extender, wherein the prepolymer includes diisocyanate and a polyol, wherein a molar ratio of the diisocyanate to a sum of the polyol and the chain extender (diisocyanate/(polyol+chain extender)) is 1.025 to 1.040 and a molar ratio of the chain extender to the polyol (chain extender/polyol) is 6 to 3.8.

A coil spring for use in a link-motion-type suspension includes a lower end turn portion, an upper end turn portion, and an effective portion of a cylindrical shape between the lower end turn portion and the upper end turn portion. Further, the coil spring includes a bowing control portion including a taper portion formed in at least one end turn portion of the lower end turn portion and the upper end turn portion. The taper portion has a shape whose thickness is reduced from the middle of the end turn portion toward a distal end of a wire along its length, and bowing of the effective portion is suppressed by absorbing a change in the inclination of a spring seat by the taper portion.

A coil spring according to one embodiment includes a lower end turn portion which is in contact with a lower spring seat, an upper end turn portion which is in contact with an upper spring seat, and an effective portion between the lower end turn portion and the upper end turn portion. The coil spring is cylindrical about an axis of the effective portion in its free shape which is not compressed. Further, with respect to a coordinate system in which a force line is assumed as a Z-axis, the coil spring is cylindrical with a constant pitch in a direction along the Z-axis in its compressed shape which is compressed to a specified height.

Method for determining propelling condition for shot medium, and method for manufacturing coil spring

The invention relates to a method for manufacturing a coil spring and for determining a propelling condition for a shot medium. In a case where it is confirmed that the coating film remains in a third step, at least one or more of conditions of the shot peening treatment including a propelling speed of the shot medium, a propelling time of the shot medium, a material of the shot medium, and an average particle diameter of the shot medium are changed and the second step and the third step are repeated until the coating film does not remain. In a case where it is confirmed that the coating film does not remain in the third step, the condition of the shot peening treatment in the second step in which the coil spring is obtained with no remaining coating film is determined as the propelling condition for the shot medium.
