The second forming mandrel includes a second forming portion having an arc shape when viewed from above, and a support portion which supports the workpiece. The second bending roller moves along the second forming portion.
SWAY BAR CLAMP
A clamp for securing a link to a bar or a rod in order to accommodate multiple connection points. The clamp or sway bar clamp includes multiple connection points for securing a link to a sway bar. The sway bar clamp goes over the end of the sway bar. It converts a sway bar with one connection point to a sway bar with multiple connection points to adjust flex of the sway bar.
STABILIZER AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING STABILIZER
A stabilizer is a stabilizer including: a main body cylinder portion which is elastically deformable and a pair of connection plate portions respectively connected to a pair of left and right suspension devices, wherein the connection plate portion includes a pair of base material portions located on both sides in the connection plate portion in a plate thickness direction T and an alloy oxide region which is disposed between the pair of base material portions and in which alloy oxides are scattered, and wherein crystal grains constituting the pair of base material portions straddle the alloy oxide region in the plate thickness direction and the pair of base material portions are joined.
Roll stabilizer and use of a roll stabilizer in a motor vehicle
A roll stabilizer for a motor vehicle having a housing (137, 237) with a first stabilizer element (110, 210) coupled to the housing and an electric motor (150, 250) located in the housing (137, 237). The transmission (160, 260) is coupled to the electric motor (150, 250) on a drive side, and the output side of the transmission (160, 260) is coupled to a second stabilizer element (115, 215) such that the stabilizer elements are electromechanically rotatable with respect to one another. The electric motor is designed as a Vernier motor.
Co-axial sway bar for a suspension system
A suspension system for a vehicle having a frame includes a first interface member configured to be positioned on a first lateral side of the frame and a second interface member configured to be positioned on an opposing second lateral side of the frame. The first interface member and the second interface member are positioned along a common central axis. The suspension system also includes a first swing arm coupled to the first interface member and configured to rotate about the common central axis, a second swing arm coupled to the second interface member and configured to rotate about the common central axis, and a sway bar coupled to the first interface member and the second interface member. The sway bar is positioned coaxially with the common central axis and extends between the first swing arm and the second swing arm.
STABILIZER BAR FOR A CHASSIS OF A VEHICLE, PENDULUM SUPPORT FOR SUCH A STABILIZER BAR, AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING SUCH A STABILIZER BAR OR SUCH A PENDULUM SUPPORT
A stabilizer for a chassis of a vehicle, having a curved stabilizer body (2) that forms a torsion spring, with a pendulum support (5, 6) and with a connecting section (7, 8, 46, 48), the connecting section (7, 8, 46, 48) is made of a metal and connects the stabilizer body (2) to the pendulum support (5, 6). The connecting section (7, 8, 46, 48) and the stabilizer body (2) are connected to one another by a snap-in and/or latch joint. To reduce assembly effort and expense and, at the same time, to join the stabilizer body (2) to the pendulum support (5, 6) in a secure manner, the stabilizer (1) and the pendulum support (5, 6) are characterized in that the connecting section has an opening (22) in which a plastic bearing shell (11) is arranged for fitting of a joint ball (23) of the pendulum support (5, 6).
STABILIZER FOR VEHICLE
There is provided a stabilizer for a vehicle, including a torsion bar fixed to a car body and configured to be rotated about a longitudinal axis of rotation without changing a position, two arm links connected to both ends of the torsion bar, and two drive links connected to each of the two arm links through a ball joint so as to be able to be rotated three-dimensionally, in which the two drive links are configured to, during cornering of the vehicle, adjust a degree of torsion of the torsion bar by rotating about an axis of rotation of a strut assembly or a steering knuckle connected to the two drive links.
CLUTCH APPARATUS, SYSTEMS, AND RELATED METHODS FOR USE WITH VEHICLE STABILIZER BARS
Clutch apparatus, systems, and related methods for use with vehicle stabilizer bars are disclosed. A disclosed stabilizer bar disconnect system includes a fluidic clutch configured to control torque transferred between first and second bar members during a driving event to control a roll stiffness of a vehicle. The fluidic clutch is changeable between a connected state in which the fluidic clutch couples the first bar member to the second bar member and a disconnected state in which the fluidic clutch decouples the first bar member from the second bar member.
METHOD OF MANUFACTURING A HOLLOW SPRING MEMBER
A method for manufacturing a hollow spring member having a hollow steel spring rod having terminal sealed portions at both ends thereof. Each terminal sealed portion has a rotationally symmetric shape in which an axis passing through a center of the spring rod is an axis of symmetry. Each terminal sealed portion has an end wall portion including an end face; an arc-shaped smoothly curved surface between an outer peripheral surface of the spring rod and the end face, and a hermetically closed distal-end-center closure portion on the axis passing through the center of the spring rod. The method includes forming each of the end portions of the spring rod by forming a chamfered portion on an inner or outer peripheral side of the end portion of a hollow wire, the end portion having an opening portion at a distal end, heating the end portion of the hollow wire having the chamfered portion, and spinning the heated end portion to be gathered toward the axis from the outer peripheral side by a jig. The end wall portion, which includes the distal-end-center closure portion, is formed by the distal end of the end portion being joined together on the axis.
