VEHICLE TWIST AXLE ASSEMBLY

The twist axle assembly includes a pair of trailing arms that are spaced apart from one another in a first direction. The twist axle assembly also includes a twist beam, which has an open shaped cross-sectional shape, that extends in the first direction between a pair of opposing end portions. The open cross-sectional shape of the twist beam includes a base and a pair of side walls. The end portions of the twist beam are fixedly attached with the trailing arms. A pair of beam reinforcements are fixedly attached with the trailing arms and with the base of the twist beam. The beam reinforcements are fixedly attached with the twist beam through at least one of fasteners, adhesives, resistance spot welding, cold metal transfer welding, laser welding, and brazing.

Vehicle twist axle assembly

The twist axle assembly includes a pair of spaced apart trailing arms and a twist beam of which extends in a first direction between the trailing arms. The twist beam includes a pair of end portions and a middle portion. The twist beam further has a pair of side walls and at least one additional wall that extends between the side walls. The side walls in the middle portion are generally parallel with the side walls of the end portions. The twist beam is generally hour-glass shaped with the middle portion having a first width and the end portions have a greater second width. The twist beam also tapers from the first width of the middle portion to the second widths of the end portions for gradually increasing a torsional stiffness from the middle portion to the end portions.

[Object] Provided are a press-molded product in which the plank pieces can be appropriately matched with each other and the weight of the product is not increased even when the plank pieces can be appropriately matched with each other, and a method of manufacturing the same. [Solving Means] The present invention is a press-molded product (100) formed by bending a blank (B) to divide the blank into a first plank piece (10) and a second plank piece (20) with a bending portion interposed therebetween and making the first plank piece and the second plank piece come into contact with each other through the bending. The first plank piece and the second plank piece include punching portions (11, 21) formed by punching the blank, and a first rising portion (12) and a second rising portion (22) formed by raising the rims of the punching portions. There is provided a positioning portion (40) that positions the first plank piece and the second plank piece by engaging the first rising portion of the first plank piece with the second rising portion of the second plank piece.

METHOD FOR PRODUCING A LINK MOUNTING ARRANGEMENT OF A MOTOR VEHICLE, AND MOUNTING ARRANGEMENT

A method for producing a mounting arrangement for a link of a motor vehicle suspension that is or can be pivotably mounted on a subframe of the motor vehicle, having the following steps: providing the subframe, which has a first and a second mounting flange for mounting the link; providing at least one intermediate product of a bracket; integrally joining the intermediate product to a mounting flange of the subframe by welding; forming an elongated hole in the intermediate product by punching of the same; and forming at least one stop on the intermediate product for an adjusting eccentric for chassis adjustment by stamping the intermediate product.

Vehicle twist axle assembly

The twist axle assembly includes a pair of spaced apart trailing arms and a twist beam which is made of a single piece and is operably connected with the trailing arms. The twist beam has a top wall, a bottom wall and a pair of side walls. The twist beam presents a pair of end portions which are bent to present edges that face towards one another when viewed in cross-section, and the twist beam presents a middle portion which extends between the end portions. The middle portion has an opening with a generally elliptical shape formed into the bottom wall for reducing a torsion stiffness of the middle portion of the twist beam in comparison to the end portions.

Fastening arrangement of a vibration damper

A fastening arrangement of a vibration damper of a vehicle includes a rubber bearing with a first bush and a second bush, a fastener where via the fastener one of the first bush and the second bush of the rubber bearing is fixed in three degrees of longitudinal freedom with regard to a wheel support of the vehicle or the body of the vehicle, and a measure disposed on the second bush and on the wheel support or on the body of the vehicle where via the measure a degree of rotational freedom of the second bush about an axis of the fastener is blocked by a positively locking block. The positively locking block is formed by a convexly curved cylinder segment of the second bush and a concavely curved cylinder segment of the wheel support or the body of the vehicle that are engagable into one another.
