Method for producing a chassis link
A method for producing a chassis link includes shaping a single-shell main body from a sheet metal blank and deforming the sheet metal blank by deep drawing, which includes pre-drawing during which an indentation is produced on the main body and in which the indentation is trimmed and a bush is attached to a projection on the main body once the indentation has been trimmed. The sheet metal blank is pre-drawn such that the indentation is given a radius that matches the bush to be attached such that there is no further need for a further forming operation on the indentation once the indentation has been trimmed.
VEHICLE STABILIZER, PROCESSING DEVICE FOR EYE PORTION OF STABILIZER, AND PROCESSING METHOD FOR EYE PORTION
An annular reference surface is formed around a through-hole of an eye portion. A distal-end-side curved portion is formed at a first corner portion, on an outer side of the annular reference surface. The thickness of the distal-end-side curved portion is reduced in a range of a length from the first flat surface toward the distal end surface. A hole-side curved portion whose thickness is reduced toward an inner surface of the through-hole is formed at a second corner portion, on an inner side of the annular reference surface. The length of the hole-side curved portion is less than the length of the distal-end-side curved portion. The hole-side curved portion is curved with a greater curvature than that of the distal-end-side curved portion.
SUSPENSION BRACKET FOR A UTILITY VEHICLE
A utility cart includes a suspension having an integral suspension bracket having an attachment point for a lateral suspension link, holes through which U-bolts are passed to secure an axle of the utility cart to the bracket, and can include an opening into which a spring pin (e.g. a pin of a leaf spring) can be inserted. The suspension bracket can alternatively include a brake cable attachment feature. The suspension bracket can be cut from sheet stock of material, and stamped into final or near final form. In one embodiment a threaded nut can be attached to the attachment point for the lateral suspension link.
SUSPENSION PERCH BRACKET FOR A UTILITY VEHICLE
A utility cart includes a suspension having an integral perch bracket having a plurality of legs structured to straddle an axle of the utility cart, and can include an opening into which a spring pin (e.g. a pin of a leaf spring) can be inserted. The perch bracket can alternatively include a brake cable attachment feature located on an end of the bracket. In one form the end can extend from one leg and be folded toward an opposing leg. The perch bracket can be cut from sheet stock of material, and stamped into final or near final form. In one embodiment a threaded nut can be attached to the legs of the perch bracket.
Method for obtaining a suspension arm for automotive vehicles and suspension arm
This disclosure relates to methods for obtaining a suspension arm for automotive vehicles, wherein certain embodiments comprise obtaining two identical parts to form a body, where each part is obtained by means of: a) cutting a metal or composite sheet forming a base plane, such that a central segment and two ends are defined, b) drawing at least one hole in each end, c) stamping each part forming in its central segment two flanges consisting of a first flange and a second flange located on opposite sides of the central segment and oriented perpendicular to the base plane, where said flanges have an asymmetrical arrangement with respect to a midplane passing through the geometric centers of the holes of the two ends and is perpendicular to the base plane, the second flange being separated from the midplane a distance equal to the separation of the first flange from the midplane plus a distance at least equal to the value of the thickness of the sheet or plate.
Suspension member for a motor vehicle and method of forming the same
A suspension member for a motor vehicle including a control arm or transverse link having a ball joint seat for receiving a press-fit ball joint. The ball joint seat including a reinforcement section formed from the material of the suspension member in a region thereof provided for friction or press-fit contact with the ball joint. A method for producing the control arm or transverse link includes increasing the material thickness of the reinforcement section by deformation.
Steering unit
A steering unit includes a guide unit and a support unit having a second fastening section fixed to a first fastening section of the guide unit and a load-bearing section accommodating a spring unit, a second plane is oriented orthogonally with respect to a width of the second fastening section, the load-bearing section is asymmetrical with respect to the second plane, the guide unit extends predominantly along a first plane, wherein, in an assembled state, the first plane is oriented to the second plane, wherein the first plane is oriented orthogonally with respect to a pivot axis of a pivotable mounting of the guide unit in a bearing section, wherein, in a mounted state, at least one fastening structure is arranged in the first plane, and wherein the first plane runs centrally through the bearing section of the guide unit.
VEHICULAR ARM COMPONENT MANUFACTURING METHOD AND VEHICULAR ARM COMPONENT
Providing a method of manufacturing a vehicular arm component having a torsional rigidity of a predetermined level or less and a sufficient tensile strength in the entire circumferential direction.
A method of manufacturing a vehicular arm component for manufacturing the vehicular arm component 1 having a hollow shape in open cross-section by subjecting a workpiece W, which is a flat plate, extending in an XY plane formed by an X direction and a Y direction to pressing in stages such that two side surfaces W1, W2 of the workpiece in an XZ plane formed by the X direction and a Z direction face one another across a gap G, the method including a restriking process in which a protrusion 113 disposed on a restriking die 110 to be extended in the X direction is arranged in the gap between the two side surfaces facing one another and the two side surfaces are brought into contact with the protrusion such that the workpiece is pressed from an outer periphery to an inner periphery.
ROLLED COLLAR, ROLLED COLLAR MANUFACTURING APPARATUS, AND ROLLED COLLAR MANUFACTURING METHOD
[Object] Damage to a surface of a resin bush caused by press-fitting is prevented even when a configuration for positioning during welding is added.
[Solving Means] A rolled collar (40) is a steel rolled collar into which a resin bush (90) is pressed-fitted, and which is joined to a joining member by welding. The rolled collar includes a main body part (50) formed in a hollow cylindrical shape, and a clinch part that joins both end surfaces of the main body part together by fitting. The rolled collar includes a notch part (70) formed by cutting off a portion of an annular edge (53) in the main body part. Here, a convex jig determining a position of the main body part at a time of welding is fit into the notch part. The rolled collar includes a cavity part (80) formed to be hollow from an inner circumferential surface side on a wall surface around the notch part to form a clearance (81) between the press-fitted resin bush and an edge portion (71) of the notch part on the inner circumferential surface side.
