Vehicle stabilizer and method of manufacturing the same
A stabilizer is provided with a restriction ring connected to a torsion portion at a connection portion adjacent to a bush. The restriction ring has a body, a female portion, a male portion, and a welded portion. The female portion has gripping portions with a spacing therebetween decreasing in the direction away from a valley bottom portion. The male portion has a neck portion, an expansion portion, and a contraction portion. The welded portion covers at least the range of the contraction portion and the valley bottom portion and melts in the plate thickness direction from the outer peripheral surface.
TORSION BEAM SUSPENSION
A torsion beam suspension includes two trailing arm portions, in which each of the trailing arm portions includes an elastic supporting portion and an extending portion, and the extending portion extends from the elastic supporting portion toward an inner side of a vehicle body in a width direction, and a torsion beam fixed to the extending portion of each of the trailing arm portions.
Vibration damper, and motor vehicle with a vibration damper of this type
A vibration damper for a motor vehicle includes an outer tube and an inner tube arranged coaxially within the outer tube. A guide unit closes the outer tube and the inner tube in each case at a first end. A bottom unit has a bottom valve. The bottom unit is arranged at a second end of the inner tube. The outer tube and the inner tube are deformed plastically, such that the guide unit is connected in a positively locking manner to the outer tube and the inner tube, and the inner tube being deformed plastically, such that the bottom unit is connected in a positively locking manner to the inner tube, and/or the outer tube and the inner tube is connected in an integrally joined manner to the guide unit, and the inner tube being connected in an integrally joined manner to the bottom unit.
Vehicle driveline component having housing assembly with slugs for inhibiting relative movement between a housing member and a tube
A vehicle driveline component with a housing, a tube and a plurality of slugs. The housing has a tube mount with a body and a plurality of slug bores. The body defines a tube bore that extends along an axis. The slug bores are spaced circumferentially apart about and are formed through the body. Each of the slug bores intersects the tube bore. The tube is received in the tube bore. Each of the slugs is received into an associated one of the slug bores and is welded to the tube. Each of the slugs engages an inside surface of one of the slug bores to inhibit movement of the tube relative to the tube mount. The body has a wall thickness and each of the slugs engages the inside surface of one of the slug bores over a distance that is less than the wall thickness.
AIR SPRINGS AND METHODS FOR MAKING THE SAME
A spring assembly for a non-rail wheeled or tracked vehicle is provided. The spring assembly includes a piston, and a sleeve with variable thickness. The sleeve is made from an unreinforced synthetic elastomeric material and being free of reinforcing fibers. The sleeve is coupled with a plurality of end components and defines a deformable pressure vessel, and the deformable pressure vessel supplies a support force.
Stabilizer
A stabilizer includes a main body cylinder portion which is elastically deformable; and a pair of connection portions respectively connected to a pair of left and right suspension devices. Each of the pair of connection portions is provided with a fixed shaft portion which is solid and fixed to the main body cylinder portion. The fixed shaft portion includes a fitting portion fitted into the main body cylinder portion and a large diameter portion connecting the fitting portion and a connection portion of the pair of connection portions and formed to have a diameter larger than that of the fitting portion.
Damper assembly
A damper includes a pressure tube extending about a longitudinal axis and defining an inner volume. The damper includes a piston attached to a piston rod and slidably disposed within the pressure tube. The piston divides the inner volume of the pressure tube into a first working chamber and a second working chamber. The damper includes a fluid connector having a first wall and a second wall, each elongated along the longitudinal axis and sealed to the pressure tube. The fluid connector has a third wall elongated along the longitudinal axis and extending from the first wall to the second wall. The pressure tube defines an opening at the first working chamber, and the third wall of the fluid connector defines an opening spaced from the opening of the pressure tube. The first wall, the second wall, and the third wall define a passage extending from the opening of the pressure tube to the opening of the third wall.
Actuator device for an adjustable roll stabilizer of a motor vehicle
An actuator device (1) for an adjustable roll stabilizer (2) of a motor vehicle, with a housing (4) that extends in the direction of a rotational axis (3) and an actuator (5) arranged in the housing. The actuator device (1) can be operated to twist two stabilizer sections (7a, 7b) relative to one another about the rotational axis (3) and the two stabilizer sections (7a, 7b) are attached to opposite ends (6a, 6b) of the actuator device (1). An engagement contour (8) is formed on the housing (4), which is suitable for immobilizing the housing during the application of torque (M1) to the housing (4) in a direction around the rotational axis (3).
Air springs and methods for making the same
A method for forming an air spring for a vehicle including a frame coupled to the air spring includes heating an elastomeric base material to a melting point of the elastomeric base material, thereby forming a melted elastomeric base material, forming a sleeve from the melted elastomeric base material, the sleeve being substantially free of textile reinforcing fibers, and engaging the sleeve with end components, the sleeve and the end components defining a deformable pressure vessel, where the deformable pressure vessel supplies a supporting force.
Damper assembly including intake valve in fluid chamber
A damper assembly includes an outer tube and an inner tube disposed in the outer tube defining a fluid space therebetween. The inner tube defines an inner volume. A piston is slidably disposed in the inner tube and divides the inner volume into a rebound working chamber and a compression working chamber. An active rebound valve is fluidly connected to the rebound working chamber and the fluid chamber, and an active compression valve is fluidly connected to the reserve chamber and the compression working chamber. An intake assembly is positioned in the fluid chamber to control the fluid flow through the active rebound valve and into the compression working chamber during a rebound stroke and to control fluid flow from the compression working chamber through the active compression valve and into the rebound working chamber during a compression stroke.
