LINKING DEVICE BETWEEN AN ALUMINIUM SIDE RAIL OF A VEHICLE AND A CONTROL ARM
A linking device links an aluminum side rail of a vehicle body structure and an end of a control arm that includes a cylindrical linking ring. The device remarkably includes an aluminum casting including an upper surface attached under the side rail, and a side wall from which emerges, perpendicular to an outer side surface, at least one first control arm interface including a pair of tabs separated from one another by an air-gap value greater than the length of the cylindrical ring, in order to set the end of the control arm.
Chassis Anchoring Systems
A load anchor assembly for attachment to a tubular member having an exterior surface, comprising an anchor base and a portion extending from the anchor base adapted to secure a vehicle component. The assembly includes a boss having a first flanged end and a second end, where the boss is adapted to be positioned in first and second apertures in the exterior surface of the tubular member with the flanged end in contact with the first aperture and the second end accessible through the second aperture. There is at least one fastener connected to the anchor base and the second end to secure the anchor base to the flanged boss.
Reversible two setting preload spacer
A reversible, two setting preload spacer includes a body extending along an axis between a first end and a second end. The spacer also includes an opening formed through the body and extending along the axis from the first end to the second end. The opening is defined by an inner surface and configured to receive a portion of a shock tube of a shock absorber. The spacer also includes an engagement structure configured to engage a groove on the shock tube positioned on the inner surface. The engagement structure is positioned such that a first distance between the engagement structure and the first end is greater than a second distance between the engagement structure and the second end.
End plate of suspension member
There is provided an end plate that includes a through hole that causes an outer wall portion and an inner wall portion to communicate with each other, into which an intruding portion provided in a wheel-side member can intrude, a first press-formed portion formed by depressing in a peripheral edge of the through hole in the inner wall portion. The end plate includes a second press-formed portion arranged in a part of a peripheral edge on the side of a peripheral end of the inner wall portion, which is a remnant of a portion where the first press-formed portion is arranged in the inner wall portion, and formed therein with a protruding portion by protruding a part of the peripheral edge, and a screw hole formed by penetrating through the protruding portion in the second press-formed portion between the outer wall portion and the inner wall portion.
Method and device for bidirectional communication
The present invention is directed to a method for bidirectional communication between a command unit and a plurality of LED control units connected thereto. In accordance with the invention, it is possible to supply control commands to LED control units with high speed, or to return execution results from these control units to a command unit. Therefore, the present invention provides for a highly efficient and thus highly performant method for communication between several serially connected control units. Furthermore, the invention is directed to a respective device for bidirectional communication as well as a computer program product including control commands for implementation of the method.
Dual-interface coupler
A method for coupling a number of utilities between a first system and a second system is provided. A first interface that couples the number of utilities between the first system and the second system is created between the first system and a utilities unit. The first interface is activated. A second interface between the second system and the utilities unit is deactivated, while the first interface remains activated.
Toe link support and method of supporting a toe link
A toe link support is disclosed. In a first aspect, the toe link aperture of a hub has been bored out to receive inner and outer spacers. The spacers have bolt holes through which a toe link bolt is inserted to secure a toe link to the hub. The bolt is secured by a nut. The spacers protect the hub from damage by the bolt, and vice versa, resulting from motion of the toe link. In a second aspect, the outer spacer is further configured to be inserted into the bolt hole of the toe link, further protecting the bolt from damage. A method of supporting a toe link is also disclosed.
Towers for Accessing an Interior of a Fuselage Assembly
An apparatus for accessing an interior of a fuselage assembly. A tower having a number of platform levels may be driven into a selected tower position within an assembly area. The interior of the fuselage assembly may be accessed using the number of platform levels.
Tandem wheel assembly and tandem wheel kit
A tandem wheel assembly or kit has a housing that includes a central chain box, a first wheel end casing, and a second wheel end casing. The central chain box has an internal volume extending between a first box end and a second box end, a unitary pivot portion having a box opening disposed about a pivot axis, a first box flange with a first box flange face and a second box flange with a second box flange face. The first wheel end casing has a first wheel end flange with a first wheel end flange face mateable with the first box flange face, a first wheel end opening, and defines a first length. The second wheel end casing has a second wheel end flange with a second wheel end flange face mateable with the second box flange face, a second wheel end opening, and defines a second length.
Vehicle suspension bushing assembly and method of assembling the same
A vehicle suspension bushing assembly including an inner sleeve, a bearing, an intermediate sleeve, an outer sleeve, and a bushing. The inner sleeve extends longitudinally between first and second inner sleeve ends. The bearing extends annularly about the inner sleeve, the intermediate sleeve extends annularly about the bearing, and the outer sleeve extends annularly about the intermediate sleeve. The bushing is positioned radially between the outer sleeve and the intermediate sleeve. Axial retainers extend annularly about the first and second inner sleeve ends. The axial retainers are longitudinally moveable relative to the inner sleeve. The axial retainers have a preload feature including a flange segment that is resilient and deflects from an unbiased position when the axial retainers are in an uncompressed position to a biased position when the axial retainers are in a compressed position to apply a longitudinal preload force to the intermediate sleeve.
