Spring clamp for optics
An optical device may include an optic disposed in an optical path. The optical device may include a mount to dispose the optic in the optical path. The optical device may include a plurality of spring clamps to attach the optic to the mount. The spring clamp, of the plurality of spring clamps, may include a body, a spring, and a screw. The screw may be to attach to the mount and to compress the spring. The spring may be to dispose a leading edge of the body against the optic. The spring clamp may be to maintain the optic in the optical path for a thermal cycle of at least between approximately 50 C. and approximately 130 C.
Spring compressor and method of use thereof
A spring compressor including a first mating arm in configured to mate with a subframe component of a vehicle, a second mating arm configured to mate with a moveable suspension component of the vehicle, wherein the suspension arm carries a suspension spring, and an actuator configured move the second mating arm toward the first mating arm to compress the suspension spring, so as to facilitate installation of a part, such as a damper. The disclosure also provides a method of joining a damper or similar part with a suspension component, such as a suspension arm, and with a body portion of the vehicle, including mating the first mating arm with the subframe component, mating the second mating arm with the suspension component, actuating the actuator to move the second mating arm toward the first mating arm so as to move the suspension arm, and securing the damper to the vehicle.
ADAPTOR AND METHOD FOR MOTORIZED OPERATION OF A SPRING COMPRESSOR
A mechanical adaptor to enable the motorization of an otherwise non-motorized strut compressor for use in assembling and disassembling a strut assembly of the type having a shock absorber axially disposed within a coil spring. The adaptor when used in combination with an electric pipe threader and an otherwise non-motorized strut compressor enables a method for the motorized compression and release of strut springs using the otherwise non-motorized strut compressor.
Assembly method and assembly device for suspension device of vehicle and mixed model production line
A coil spring is interposed between a vehicle body and a suspension member which is elastically and swingably supported by the vehicle body and supports a wheel. The suspension member and a vehicle part attached to the vehicle body are connected by a fastening member. The orientation of the suspension member with respect to the vehicle body is forcibly changed so as to increase the distance between the vehicle body and the suspension member at a coil spring interposition portion. An excessive change in the orientation of the suspension member is restricted by the fastening member, and a coil spring is inserted between the vehicle body and the suspension member.
SPRING COMPRESSION APPARATUS
The present disclosure relates to compression apparatus and compression systems, and related components and methods, for manufacturing and servicing operations. In one or more embodiments, a compression apparatus for vehicle subframes includes a first block, a second block spaced from the first block, a first connector extending between the first block and the second block, and a second connector extending between the first block and the second block. The compressions apparatus includes a drive assembly extending through the second block. The drive assembly includes a drive shaft comprising a head section, a threaded section, and an end section, the threaded section disposed between the head section and the end section. The drive assembly includes a drive cap coupled to the drive shaft.
