PRESERVED TEA PRODUCT
The invention relates to a tea product comprising a preservative composition, wherein the tea product is a ready-to-drink beverage or a beverage concentrate, and the preservative composition comprises: (A) hexanal; (B) E-2-hexenal; (C) E-2-hexenol; (D) E-linalool oxide; (E) methanol; and (F) methyl salicylate, wherein the total concentration of (A)+(B)+(C)+(D)+(E)+(F) in the tea product is 10 ppm to 10000 ppm, and wherein tea product comprises linalool at a concentration such that the ratio of the linalool concentration to the total concentration of (A)+(B)+(C)+(D)+(E)+(F) in the tea product is 1:14 to 1:800.
APPARATUS AND SYSTEM FOR PREPARING AN ICED TEA OR COFFEE BEVERAGE
Apparatus and system for preparing an ice-containing tea or coffee beverage. The apparatus (300) comprising a beverage concentrate reservoir (360), a sweetener concentrate reservoir (361) and a water pre-chiller (312). A first pre-mixer (362) for mixing beverage concentrate supplied from the beverage concentrate reservoir with water supplied from the water pre-chiller, a second pre-mixer (363) for mixing sweetener concentrate supplied from the sweetener concentrate reservoir with water supplied from the water pre-chiller. A mixing chamber (364) for mixing an output from the first pre-mixer with an output from the second pre-mixer to form a beverage liquor, a cooling unit (310). An ice-generating system (311), a beverage product circuit for supplying the beverage liquor from the mixing chamber to the ice-generating system and a cooling circuit for supplying coolant from the cooling unit to the ice-generating system to cool the beverage liquor and to thereby form a plurality of ice crystals within the beverage liquor. A beverage dispensing outlet (303) is also provided.
CHITOSAN-CONTAINING BEVERAGE
The present invention addresses the problem of providing a beverage which, although containing chitosan, is prevented from clouding. The present invention provides a beverage containing specific amounts of chitosan and vitamin C.
PACKAGED FROZEN DRINK BASE
A packaged frozen drink base contains an unpasteurized frozen aqueous antioxidant composition having a pH of 4 or less and packaging formed of a sealed waterproof tube having the frozen aqueous antioxidant composition disposed therein. The aqueous antioxidant composition contains at least one citrus juice which is at least lemon juice, at least one natural sweetener, and turmeric root extract in an amount of 0.5-1.2 mL per 10 mL of the aqueous antioxidant composition or green tea leaf extract in an amount of 3-6 mL per 10 mL of the aqueous antioxidant composition. The packaging can be opened and the aqueous antioxidant composition dissolved in water to provide a tasty antioxidant beverage that has beneficial health effects.

Coffee-based beverage preparation system and methods for using the same
A coffee-based beverage preparation system is disclosed that receives a brewed coffee frozen ice block and, in certain embodiments, prepares a brewed coffee beverage at a desired temperature without the requirement to add water from a water reservoir. In one embodiment, the coffee-based beverage preparation system includes a preparation chamber for receiving a degassed frozen brewed coffee beverage and a plurality of heating elements configured to apply heat to the preparation chamber to melt the degassed frozen brewed coffee beverage. The coffee-based beverage preparation system also includes an outlet port comprising in fluidic communication with the preparation chamber and an electronically controlled valve secured to the outlet port that is configured release the fluid content of the preparation chamber into a receiving vessel, such as when the fluid reaches a predetermined temperature.
