An air conditioner for a vehicle includes an air conditioning case and a case interior member in the air conditioning case. The case interior member includes a tunnel member and a tunnel exterior guide wall. The tunnel member defines a tunnel channel therein and is arranged in a downstream space defined in an air conditioning case. The tunnel exterior guide wall is configured to guide an air to flow from a warm air passage to an outside of the tunnel channel. A first direction along which the tunnel exterior guide wall extends is closer to a direction, which is opposite to the one direction along which the air flowing from a cool air passage into the downstream space, as compared to a second direction along which the tunnel guide wall extends.

Vehicle HVAC system including common blower for front and rear airflow

An HVAC system for a vehicle. The HVAC system including an evaporator case, a heater case, and a blower case. The heater case is in cooperation with the evaporator case to receive airflow from the evaporator case. The heater case includes a heat source and defines front passenger cabin airflow outlets and rear passenger cabin airflow outlets. The blower case is in fluid communication with the evaporator case and includes a single airflow generator that generates airflow through the evaporator case, through the heater case, and to both the front passenger cabin airflow outlets and the rear passenger cabin airflow outlets.

Roof-type air conditioner for vehicles and method of controlling the same

A roof-type air conditioner for vehicles may include an evaporator to discharge cold air to the internal of a vehicle, and a conveying unit to move the evaporator in a longitudinal direction of the vehicle on a ceiling of the vehicle such that the evaporator is disposed to the ceiling of the internal of the vehicle and positioned to a region required for cooling.

VENTILATION, HEATING AND/OR AIR CONDITIONING INSTALLATION FOR A VEHICLE

The present invention relates to a ventilation, heating and/or air conditioning installation for a vehicle, with distribution unit including a thermal conditioning device, a mixing chamber and a cold air duct. The distribution unit includes a first air outlet and a second air outlet connected to the mixing chamber. The air outlets are delimited by two long edges and by two short edges substantially perpendicular to each other, with the air intake opening, the first inlet into the mixing chamber and the second inlet into the mixing chamber being arranged in this order in a main direction of extension of the short edges. The first and second air outlets are arranged in this order in the main direction of extension of the two short edges. The installation includes a scoop arranged across the first air outlet and configured to guide the mixed air flow toward the second air outlet.

Air conditioner for vehicle

Disclosed is an air conditioner for a vehicle. The present invention provides an air conditioner for a vehicle capable of introducing indoor air and outdoor air simultaneously or selectively by forming a double-layer flow in an air conditioner case and capable of separately controlling the temperatures of a front seat and a rear seat.

An air-conditioning unit includes an air-conditioning case, a blower, and a cooling heat exchanger disposed at a position upstream of the blower. The blower includes a rotational shaft and a suction opening. The cooling heat exchanger includes a facing portion that overlaps with the suction opening in the axial direction and a non-facing portion that does not overlap with the suction opening in the axial direction. The air-conditioning case includes a projected region that is virtually formed by projecting the facing portion toward an upstream side of the air-conditioning case along the axial direction. The air-conditioning case defines introducing openings at positions outside of the projected region. At least a first one of the introducing openings is located on a side of the projected region opposite to at least a second one of the introducing openings.

An air-conditioning device for vehicle has a case and an outlet unit. The outlet unit has a vent door. The vent door is capable of stopping at a face mode position where a center vent outlet and a side vent outlet are opened, a bi-level mode position where a center vent outlet and the side vent outlet are opened, and a heat mode position where the center vent outlet is closed and the side vent outlet is opened. The vent door is movable from the face mode position to the heat mode position via the bi-level mode position. The case has a fixed guide member. The fixed guide member controls an air flow in the case in the bi-level position by facing the vent door positioned in the bi-level mode position.

HVAC SYSTEM FOR VEHICLE

A heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) system for a vehicle may include: a casing having an inlet and a plurality of outlets; an evaporator disposed within the casing; a heater core disposed behind the evaporator within the casing; and an air mixing door disposed between the evaporator and the heater core. In particular, the heater core and a rear wall of the casing are spaced apart from each other by a first distance, the evaporator and the heater core are spaced apart from each other by a second distance, and the first distance is greater than the second distance.

HVAC CASE

An HVAC case for a vehicle including an airflow outlet defining a first outlet area having a first width and a first depth, and a second outlet area having a second width and a second depth. The first outlet area is larger than the second outlet area. A ramped surface is adjacent to the second outlet area. An airflow control door is movable to an open position, a partially closed position in which the airflow control door obstructs airflow through the first outlet area and permits airflow through the second outlet area, and a fully closed position in which the airflow control door obstructs airflow through both the first outlet area and the second outlet area.

Air conditioning system for vehicle

A vehicle air conditioning system is provided and includes a heating duct through which internal air and external air are introduced and a cooling duct through which internal air and external air are introduced. A condenser is disposed in the heating duct and an evaporator is disposed in the cooling duct and is connected to the condenser. A phase change material (PCM) stores thermal energy of the internal air passing through the heating and cooling ducts. An internal/external air door controls the mixing of the internal/external air introduced into the heating and cooling ducts, and a PMC door controls the external air introduced through the heating and cooling ducts whether to pass through the PCM.
