The housing (2) includes: an air flow channel (24) directing the inner air flow (Fi) in the housing (2) while bypassing the first heat exchanger (5); and an air inlet duct (23) directing the inner air flow (Fi) in the housing (2) through the first heat exchanger (5). A heating, ventilation and/or air-conditioning installation for the passenger compartment of a motor vehicle includes: an air conditioning loop through which a coolant flows. The loop includes at least one compressor, a first expansion member, an outer heat exchanger and the first heat exchanger (5). The installation also includes the heating, ventilation and/or air-conditioning apparatus (1).

The air-conditioning unit includes an air-conditioning case defining a passage, a first heat exchanger, a second heat exchanger, an upstream partition and an intermediate partition. The upstream partition and the intermediate partition collectively partition the passage into a first passage through which internal air introduced from an internal air introducing port flows during the two-layer mode and a second passage through which external air introduced from an external air introducing port flows during the two-layer mode. The upstream partition is located upstream of the first heat exchanger and the intermediate partition is located between the first heat exchanger and the second heat exchanger. The intermediate partition is integrally formed with at least one of the first heat exchanger or the second heat exchanger.

APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR SANITIZING A VEHICLE INTERIOR

A motor vehicle includes a passenger space and a HVAC system. The HVAC system includes a heater, an air conditioner, and ducts configured to heat and/or cool air to the passenger space. The HVAC system is configured to increase humidity of air while the air is flowing through the HVAC system, and to introduce a sanitizing agent into air while the air is flowing through the HVAC system. A controller is configured to actuate the HVAC system to circulate humidified air containing the sanitizing agent through the passenger space to neutralize pathogens that may be present in the passenger space.

The invention relates to a heating, ventilation and/or air-conditioning device (1) for a motor vehicle, comprising a housing (2) defining a flow channel (3) for an air flow, in which are arranged a first heat exchanger (4), a second heat exchanger (6), the first (4) and second (6) heat exchangers being arranged in substantially orthogonal planes, a bypass path (28) of the second heat exchanger (6) and at least one air outlet duct (12,14,16), each air outlet duct (12,14,16) being configured to guide the air flow in particular towards different regions of a vehicle passenger compartment. According to the invention, a mixing flap (30) comprising a sliding door is arranged in the flow channel (3) so as to be able to close the bypass path (28) and/or the second heat exchanger (6), and a second dispenser flap (22) comprising a sliding door is arranged so as to be able to at least partially close a first of said air outlet ducts (12,14,16). The invention also relates to a motor vehicle comprising such a device.
