Air conditioner for vehicle

An air conditioner for a vehicle includes: a casing; an air blower; and a mode switching portion switching an inlet mode to draw air into the casing and an outlet mode to blow out air to the vehicle interior. The casing has a driver seat inlet port from which air in a space adjacent to a driver seat is drawn in. The mode switching portion is configured to be switchable between a normal mode during which air drawn in from at least one of air inlets is blown out from both of a driver seat outlet and a passenger seat outlet and a driver seat mode during which air drawn in from the driver seat inlet port is blown out from the driver seat outlet. The driver seat inlet port is located in a region exposed to the space adjacent to the driver seat.

AIR DISTRIBUTING DEVICE FOR AN AIR CONDITIONING UNIT OF A MOTOR VEHICLE

Described herein is air distributing device for an air conditioning unit of a motor vehicle, the device including: a housing defining an air intake chamber, on the housing there being formed an air inlet, a central air outlet, and two side air outlets. The device also includes a drum flap mounted rotatably about an axis (z) orthogonal to a direction that goes from the air inlet to the central air outlet. The flap is movable between a first position, wherein the air inlet is closed by the flap; a second position, wherein the two side air outlets are closed by the flap and an air flow between the air inlet and the central air outlet is allowed; and a third position, wherein the central air outlet is closed by the flap and an air flow between the air inlet and the side air outlets is allowed.

VEHICLE AIR CONDITIONER

A vehicle air conditioner includes an outlet and an inlet. The outlet is provided on a side surface of a center console that is located, in the vehicle width direction, on the inner side of a seat, in which an occupant of the vehicle is seated. The outlet blows out air toward the occupant. The inlet is provided on a side surface of a door trim, which is located on the outer side of the seat in the vehicle width direction, and draws in air that has been blown out from the outlet.

Thermal conditioning systems and methods for vehicle regions

Features for a vapor compression system configured to cool and/or heat (i.e. thermally condition) two or more distinct climate controlled vehicle interior components via a common thermal bus are disclosed. Some embodiments employ a single compressor. Some embodiments employ multiple compressors and/or thermal buses, each servicing components located within respective interior thermal zones of a vehicle, for example a front row seat zone, second and/or third row seat zones, and/or an overhead zone and/or a trunk zone.

HVAC Temperature Control System
20200094652 · 2020-03-26 ·

A heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) system for a vehicle. The HVAC system includes an HVAC case. A first heat exchanger is within the HVAC case along a first airflow path defined by the HVAC case directing airflow to a driver side of the vehicle. A second heat exchanger is within the HVAC case along a second airflow path defined by the HVAC case directing airflow to a passenger side of the vehicle. Varying flowrate of heating medium through the first heat exchanger varies temperature of airflow to the driver side of the vehicle, and varying flowrate of heating medium through the second heat exchanger varies temperature of airflow to the passenger side of the vehicle.

AIR CONDITIONER FOR VEHICLE

The present invention relates to an air conditioner for a vehicle, which is configured in a semi-center mounting type having a separable evaporator unit to be assembled to a blower unit and a heater unit, such that the blower unit and the heater unit can be in common use even though the evaporator unit is manufactured according to the size of an evaporator, thereby reducing development costs and development time.

SIDE DEFROSTER DEVICE
20200079181 · 2020-03-12 · ·

A side defroster device includes a front pillar that rises from a laterally outer end part of an instrument panel, and a defroster blower outlet that is provided in the front pillar and blows out air toward a side window screen. A display device that displays an image of a vehicle exterior is provided on the instrument panel to a rear of the front pillar. The defroster blower outlet is positioned so as to overlap, in a vehicle width direction, an upper wall of a housing when viewed in a fore-and-aft direction. Accordingly, air blown out from the defroster blower outlet diffuses on the upper wall of the housing, and part thereof flows toward the side window screen, thus enabling the side window screen to be demisted effectively.

PTC HEATER

A PTC heater includes PTC heater parts in which heater rods and radiation fins are alternately arranged. A frame is formed along a circumference to support the PTC heater parts. IGBT elements are installed on the frame and selectively apply a battery current to each of the heater rods to adjust the heat generation amount of the heater rods. A control module is installed on the frame and controls the IGBT elements to adjust the heat generation amount of the heater rods according to a target temperature value. A heat sink is installed on the frame, is connected with the IGBT elements for heat-exchange, is formed to pass the PTC heater parts in the horizontal direction and radiate heat of the IGBT elements through the flowing air inside the air conditioning case.

Air conditioner for vehicle

Disclosed herein is an air conditioner for a vehicle, which includes: an air-conditioning case (120) having an air passageway for connecting an air inflow port (127) and an air outflow port (128) with each other; an evaporator (130) and a heater core (140) mounted on the air passageway; a blower unit (110) disposed at the side of the air inflow port (127) to blow air to the inside of the air-conditioning case (120); and a separator (150) disposed at the upstream side of the evaporator (130) to divide air, which is introduced into an air inflow passageway (227) of the air-conditioning case (120), into the right and the left.
