HVAC CASE
An HVAC case having an airflow junction. A mount is at the airflow junction and is configured to individually mount a door and an airflow blocker at the airflow junction. The door is mounted at the mount of the airflow junction to configure the HVAC case for use with HVAC systems configured for airflow through the airflow junction. The airflow blocker is mounted at the mount of the airflow junction to configure the HVAC case for use with HVAC systems not configured for airflow through the airflow junction.
Vehicle HVAC system with auxiliary coolant loop for heating and cooling vehicle interior
A vehicle includes a heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) system for heating and cooling a passenger compartment. The HVAC system includes a refrigerant loop and a coolant loop, and an auxiliary coolant loop for heating and cooling at least a portion of the passenger compartment. The auxiliary coolant loop includes a pump for moving a coolant, within the auxiliary coolant loop, through a first heat exchanger coupled to the refrigerant loop via an expansion device, a second heat exchanger positioned within the passenger compartment, and a third heat exchanger coupled to the coolant loop. A flow control valve controls a flow of coolant to the third heat exchanger. The temperature of the coolant within the auxiliary coolant loop is controlled utilizing the flow valve and the pump. The first and third heat exchangers may be in parallel for controlling the movement of coolant there between to control temperature.
VEHICLE HVAC SYSTEM INCLUDING COMMON BLOWER FOR FRONT AND REAR AIRFLOW
An HVAC system for a vehicle. The HVAC system including an evaporator case, a heater case, and a blower case. The heater case is in cooperation with the evaporator case to receive airflow from the evaporator case. The heater case includes a heat source and defines front passenger cabin airflow outlets and rear passenger cabin airflow outlets. The blower case is in fluid communication with the evaporator case and includes a single airflow generator that generates airflow through the evaporator case, through the heater case, and to both the front passenger cabin airflow outlets and the rear passenger cabin airflow outlets.
Triple-zone HVAC apparatus for automotive vehicle
A triple-zone heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) apparatus for an automotive vehicle may be configured to mix cold air passing through an evaporator and warm air passing through a heat exchanger with each other and blow the mixed air to a front seat foot vent through a front seat foot door and to a rear seat vent through a rear seat door.
HEATING, VENTILATION, AND AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM
A heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) system for a vehicle. The HVAC system includes an HVAC case. The HVAC case has a first inlet and a second inlet. The first inlet is in receipt of airflow from a front blower. The second inlet is in receipt of airflow from a rear blower. A front foot outlet directs airflow towards the feet of occupants at a front of the vehicle. A rear foot outlet directs airflow from the rear blower towards a rear of the vehicle. A rear-to-front airflow control door is movable to direct airflow generated by the rear blower and heated by a heater core through the rear foot outlet, through the front foot outlet, or simultaneously through both the rear foot outlet and the front foot outlet.
HEATING, VENTILATION, AND AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM
An HVAC system including a front blower having a first front blower outlet and a second front blower outlet. The first front blower outlet and the second front blower outlet are arranged vertically relative to one another. A joint duct includes a first body portion and a second body portion. The first body portion includes a first duct inlet, which is connected to the first front blower outlet, and a first duct outlet. The second body portion includes a second duct inlet, which is connected to the second front blower outlet, and a second duct outlet. The first duct outlet and the second duct outlet are arranged horizontally relative to one another. An HVAC case defines a first inlet and a second inlet arranged horizontally relative to one another. The first duct outlet is connected to the first inlet, and the second duct outlet is connected to the second inlet.
ROOF-TYPE AIR CONDITIONER FOR VEHICLES AND METHOD OF CONTROLLING THE SAME
A roof-type air conditioner for vehicles may include an evaporator to discharge cold air to the internal of a vehicle, and a conveying unit to move the evaporator in a longitudinal direction of the vehicle on a ceiling of the vehicle such that the evaporator is disposed to the ceiling of the internal of the vehicle and positioned to a region required for cooling.
AIR-CONDITIONING SYSTEM HAVING MULTIPLE TEMPERATURE REGULATING FLAPS ARRANGED DOWNSTREAM OF A HEATING DEVICE
An air-conditioning system for air-conditioning a passenger cell with a front region and a rear region may include a housing including an air inlet, a front outlet, a rear outlet, and a footwell outlet. The system may also include an evaporator for cooling an airflow and a heating device for heating the airflow arranged in the housing. A cold air space, a hot air space, a front mixing space, a layering mixing space, and a rear mixing space may be arranged within the housing. The system may also include a front flap configured to control a first connection opening connecting the hot air space to the front mixing space, a layering flap configured to control a second connection opening connecting the hot air space to the layering mixing space, and a rear flap configured to control a third connection opening connecting the hot air space to the rear mixing space.
