CLOSING APPARATUS AND AIRFLOW DEVICE

A closing apparatus for a fluid passage having a closing body arranged in the fluid passage. In order to simplify the regulated air supply in a motor vehicle, the closing body includes a definedly deformable base structure surrounded by a wrapper, which more or less closes the fluid passage as a function of the deformation of the base structure. The closing body closes the fluid passage when the base structure takes up a closed position with the wrapper. And, the closing body partially releases the fluid passage when the base structure with the wrapper takes up an opened position.

HVAC INLET SUBASSEMBLY
20200406701 · 2020-12-31 ·

An inlet subassembly for a heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) system. The inlet subassembly includes a divider defining a first airflow path and a second airflow path on opposite sides of the divider. The first airflow path extends from a first side of the recirculation air inlet and a first side of the fresh air inlet. The second airflow path extends from a second side of the recirculation air inlet and a second side of the fresh air inlet. A first inlet door is movable to control airflow into the first airflow path from the first side of the recirculation air inlet or the first side of the fresh air inlet. A second inlet door is movable to control airflow into the second airflow path from the second side of the recirculation air inlet or the second side of the fresh air inlet.

AIR CONDITIONING UNIT AND VEHICULAR AIR CONDITIONING DEVICE

An object is to provide an air conditioning unit and a vehicular air conditioning device that can efficiently distribute conditioned air while preventing an increase in the dimensions of a damper. The air conditioning unit includes a main duct (D1), a subduct (D4) branching from the main duct (D1) and guiding air to a foot outlet port (24), and a second switching damper (30) disposed in the subduct (D4) facing the main duct (D1). The second switching damper (30) includes a rotating shaft (31) and a damper body (32) including a guiding shroud (33) extending in the circumferential direction around the rotating shaft (31). An end flange (34A) at one circumferential end of the damper body (32) protrudes into the main duct (D1) as a result of rotation of the second switching damper (30) around the rotating shaft (31). A radial length (R1) of an end flange (34A) is greater than a radial length (R2) of an end flange (34B) at the other circumferential end of the guiding shroud (33).

AIR VENT FOR VEHICLE
20200361282 · 2020-11-19 ·

An air vent for a vehicle may include: a duct part having an internal path through which air is moved; a first adjusting part rotatably installed in the duct part, and configured to guide the discharge direction of the air while rotated in a side-to-side direction; a second adjusting part rotatably installed in the duct part with the first adjusting part, and configured to guide the discharge direction of the air or block an air flow passing through the duct part, while rotated in a top-to-bottom direction; and an airtightness maintaining part fixed to the duct part facing the second adjusting part, and configured to block the movement of the air while brought into contact with the second adjusting part for opening/closing the duct part.

Vehicle ventilation system incorporating an inlet duct including a poppet valve

A vehicle ventilation system includes an inlet duct incorporating a poppet valve. The system also includes an evaporator core, a heater core, an air discharge duct and a blower. The blower moves air from the inlet duct through at least one of the evaporator core and the heater core to be discharged through the air discharge duct.

HVAC INLET WITH RAM AIR AND PARTIAL RECIRCULATION FUNCTION
20200346519 · 2020-11-05 ·

An air handling system of a vehicle comprises a housing defining an inlet section. The inlet section includes a recirculation inlet in fluid communication with a passenger compartment of the vehicle and a fresh air inlet in fluid communication with an ambient environment. An air distribution door is disposed in the inlet section for controlling a distribution of air entering the inlet section through the recirculation inlet and the fresh air inlet. A baffle door is disposed in the inlet section for selectively reducing a flow area through the fresh air inlet to accommodate a ram air pressure induced by motion of the vehicle relative to fresh air of the ambient environment.

Line register

An automobile air vent register is described. The register uses a rotating vent cover, and an elongate opening in a configuration providing good air flow control within a limited space.

Universal mode plate
10821808 · 2020-11-03 · ·

A heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) system including an HVAC assembly, a set of pins, mode doors, a mode plate, an actuator, and an HVAC control module. The mode doors control airflow from the HVAC assembly. A position of each mode door is controlled by a corresponding pin of the set of pins. The mode plate includes (i) a set of grooves, (ii) a first adjustment path and (iii) a second adjustment path. The first adjustment path causes a first pin of the set of pins to move toward a center. The second adjustment path causes the first pin to move away from the center of the mode plate. An HVAC module selectively actuates the actuator to causes the mode plate to rotate in at least one of a passive direction and the active direction in response to receiving a mode request.

COAXIAL DOOR ASSEMBLY FOR HVAC
20200307349 · 2020-10-01 ·

A heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) case for a vehicle. The HVAC case has a defrost outlet and a face outlet. A coaxial door assembly is configured to control airflow through both the defrost outlet and the face outlet. The coaxial door assembly includes an outer door and an inner door rotatable about a common axis of rotation.

Climate control system with slit-vent fluid delivery

A climate control system includes a fluid delivery module. The fluid delivery module includes a housing defining a fluid flow path between an inlet and an outlet with the outlet having an elongated, slit-like shape and is not visible within a sight line of a user. The fluid delivery module further includes a fluidic control device disposed within the housing between the inlet and the outlet and movable to vary a direction of the fluid flow path within the housing.
