During pre-air conditioning in a vehicle cabin, when consumed electric power exceeds use permission electric power while an auxiliary heating device is operating, an operation of the auxiliary heating device is stopped. In contrast, when the consumed electric power exceeds the use permission electric power while the auxiliary heating device is not operating, a rotation speed of an electric compressor of an air conditioner is restricted. Therefore, the temperature environment in the vehicle cabin is improved by continuing the pre-air conditioning of the air conditioner while reducing the consumed electric power by stopping the operation of the auxiliary heating device.

Methods, and systems including computer programs encoded on a computer storage medium, for automated climate control. In one aspect, a monitoring system includes an indoor climate control device that is configured to adjust an indoor climate setting of a property, a sensor that is located at the property and configured to generate sensor data that reflects an attribute of the property, and a monitor control unit. The monitor control unit is configured to receive the sensor data, and receive, from an onboard control unit for a first vehicle associated with the property, data that reflects a status of the first vehicle. Based on the data that reflects the status of the first vehicle and the sensor data, the monitor control unit determines the indoor climate setting for the indoor climate control device, and provides instructions to adjust the indoor climate control device to the indoor climate setting.

A method for providing sound detection information includes steps of: sensing sound around a host vehicle to generate sound data; generating a result of sound detection based on the sound data; calculating a rate of change based on the result of sound detection; generating a result of tunnel detection by comparing the rate of change with a threshold; and controlling at least one peripheral apparatus in the host vehicle according to the result of tunnel detection.

ENHANCED VEHICLE OPERATION

A computer includes a processor and a memory, the memory storing instructions executable by the processor to receive first input to sanitize a vehicle passenger cabin via a passenger cabin heater, output one or more candidate initiation times at which to begin actuation of the heater, and, then, actuate the heater to a temperature above a specified sanitization threshold according to the initiation time identified in a second input.

VEHICULAR COMPARTMENT WITH INTELLIGENT HEATING AND COOLING SYSTEM
20220055446 · 2022-02-24 ·

A vehicular compartment temperature control system includes an insulated compartment disposed within a vehicle. The system includes at least one cooling element at the insulated compartment and operable to cool an interior cavity of the insulated compartment. A temperature sensor senses temperature within the insulated compartment. An output of the temperature sensor is provided to a control to determine temperature of the interior cavity. The control, responsive to receiving a signal indicative of a user selected temperature that is selected by a user via operating a user input of the vehicular compartment temperature control system, and responsive to determination that the determined temperature of the interior cavity of the insulated compartment is greater than the user selected temperature by at least a threshold amount, controls the at least one cooling element to adjust temperature of the interior cavity of the insulated compartment toward the user selected temperature.

Coolest A/C discharge temperature for all operating conditions

An automatic climate controller device identifies an operating zone of the climate control system according to at least two input factors, and identifies a discharge temperature of the climate control system. Based on the operating zone and the discharge temperature, the automatic climate controller device determines whether to perform at least one override action to override a climate control system setting to reduce the possibility of evaporator core icing. The automatic climate controller device also adjusts an evaporator set point according to the at least one override action to reduce the discharge temperature. The input factors may include evaporator temperature and cabin relative humidity. The actions may include one or more of increasing blower speed or increasing use of recirculated air.

DATA ANALYSIS OF ENVIRONMENTAL DATA FOR MANAGING TEMPERATURE OF A TRANSPORT ENVIRONMENT

Proactive temperature maintenance in a temperature controlled unit of a delivery vehicle can be based on a computer data analysis of multiple temperature factors. A computer can receive route environmental data from a multiplicity of sources regarding temperatures outside a vehicle, including a temperature at a current location and temperatures at another location along a route of the vehicle. Route environmental data can be analyzed to determine when to initiate a proactive cooling action for maintaining a cooling requirement within a refrigerated space within the vehicle, and the cooling requirements can include a threshold temperature in the refrigerated space. A proactive cooling action can be initiated based on the analysis before the threshold temperature is reached by assessing temperature variations in the route environmental data for determining a temperature effect on the vehicle at one or more locations along the route.

The present embodiments refer to a controlling system configured to be installed in a recreational vehicle, cooling devices comprising or coupled to such controlling systems, a recreational vehicle comprising such controlling systems and methods for controlling cooling the cooling devices. The controlling system comprises a central processing unit, a read out unit and a controlling unit and is configured to be coupled to a plurality of electronic devices of the recreational vehicle. The read out unit of the controlling system is configured to read out data from the electronic devices and/or sensors of the recreational vehicle coupled to the controlling system and to forward the read out data to the central processing unit. The central processing unit is configured to receive and to process the read out data received from the read out unit and to forward processed data to the controlling unit. The controlling unit is configured to receive the processed data from the central processing unit and to control at least one of the electronic devices based on at least some of the processed data.

A method for enabling a user to temporarily customize an operating characteristic of a first vehicle feature. The method includes temporarily customizing an operating characteristic of a first vehicle feature by means of the vehicle electronic control unit based on acquired personal information. The temporary customized operating characteristic of the first vehicle feature does not remain customized more than a single driving cycle.

Smart electric refrigeration system for vehicles
11667174 · 2023-06-06 ·

A smart electric temperature-controlled system connected to a vehicle, such as a vehicle-transported refrigeration system, includes a power management system and an energy storage module. The power management system and energy storage module can manage power delivered to the temperature-controlled system components by monitoring temperatures and voltages (and possibly other factors) and by delivering power as a function of the things monitored. In a typical implementation the power management system and an energy storage module can supply power to a vehicle-transported refrigeration system when the vehicle is stopped and/or power from the vehicle electrical system is electrically isolated or otherwise unavailable.
