CONTROL SYSTEM OF DAMPER OF VARIABLE-AIR-VOLUME AIR DISTRIBUTOR AND CONTROL METHOD THEREOF

Disclosed is a control method of a damper of a variable-air-volume air distributor and a control system thereof, mainly comprising a volume adjusting valve for the variable-air-volume air distributor, a valve actuator, a BP neural network-based main controller, a data collector and a user operation panel. The control method thereof is to use, mainly based on the collected room temperature and static pressure at the inlet of the air distributor, the BP neural network predictive model to establish a nonlinear model of temperature & static pressure and valve opening, perform training and optimization, and optimize the output valve opening to obtain and label an optimal value as the set value of the controller to control the action of the valve actuator, thereby realizing an automatic variable air volume.

A passenger compartment duct is provided with a passenger compartment air blow opening through which air is supplied into a passenger compartment and a cab-air-supply-duct communicating opening communicating with a cab air supply duct. The cab air supply duct is provided with a cab air blow opening through which air is supplied into a cab and a passenger-compartment-duct communicating opening communicating with the passenger compartment air supply duct. There are provided a damper turning communication from the passenger compartment air supply duct to the cab air supply duct ON or OFF, a cab air outlet through which air in the cab is discharged to the outside of the cab, and a damper opening or closing the cab air outlet. The cab air outlet includes a first outlet opened so as to communicate with an air intake side of cab air-conditioning units and a second outlet opened so as to communicate with the passenger compartment. The damper selectively discharges air in the cab to either the outside air intake side of the cab air-conditioning units or the passenger compartment.

Vehicle comfort system with efficient coordination of complementary thermal units

An HVAC comfort system operates in a cabin of a vehicle. A plurality of vehicle status parameters are measured including a cabin temperature and a seat occupancy configuration. The method detects whether the vehicle status parameters correspond to a predetermined override state. When the vehicle status parameters correspond to the predetermined override state, then a respective mandated setting is automatically activated. Unless prevented by the mandated setting, one of a plurality of HVAC modes is automatically selected in response to the cabin temperature and other inputs, wherein the HVAC modes include an extremity heating mode and a panel circulation mode. The extremity heating mode is comprised of automatic activation of a touchpoint heated surface and other outputs in response to the seat occupancy configuration. The panel circulation mode is comprised of automatic activation of one or more zones for convective cooling in response to the seat occupancy configuration and may include activating other cooling devices.

Air conditioning system for vehicles

In an air conditioning system, a control unit controls an adjusting unit to adjust a ratio between an amount of a first part of introduced air passing through a heater core and an amount of a second part of the introduced air bypassing the heater core to a first ratio at which the amount of the first part of the introduced air decreases from a maximized amount of the first part of the introduced air according to an increase in temperature of the heater core by a warming unit. When a setting temperature for air conditioning is increased by an input unit, the control unit controls the adjusting unit to change the ratio from the first ratio to a second ratio at which the amount of the first part of the introduced air increases.

MOTOR VEHICLE VENTILATOR, THERMAL MANAGEMENT DEVICE AND METHOD USING SUCH A MOTOR VEHICLE VENTILATOR

The invention concerns a ventilator for a motor vehicle passenger compartment, intended to deliver an air flow towards a space to be conditioned, which comprises: an opening through which an air flow flows during operation, a flared guiding surface (S), extending from the opening, a needle valve (25) comprising a needle valve head (27) with: a tip (29) situated at the end of the needle valve (25), a maximum width portion corresponding in shape to the opening (O), with dimensions of between 80% and 100% of those of the opening (O), a base (33) flared in the direction of flow linking the head (29) to an elongate body (31), the needle valve (25) being able to move in translation between two end positions including: a deployed end position in which the widest portion of the needle valve head (27) is downstream from the opening (O) in the direction of the space to be conditioned, the air flow then being laminar and guided by the guiding surface (S) in a divergent flow, a retracted end position in which the widest portion of the needle valve head (27) is upstream from the opening (O), the air flow then being laminar and guided by the tip (29) of the needle valve (25) in a convergent flow.

Technologies are provided for preventing a working fluid leak from pooling and thus diluting any leaked working fluid from air within a condenser and/or evaporator compartment of the CCU. This can include a computer-readable medium that stores executable instructions that, upon execution, prevent a working fluid leak from pooling within a climate-control unit (CCU) of a transport climate control system. This also includes detecting fulfillment of activation threshold conditions in connection with the CCU. Also, this includes activating a fan in at least one of a condenser unit and an evaporator unit included in the CCU to dilute leaked working fluid from air within the CCU. Further, this includes detecting fulfillment of de-activation threshold conditions and de-activation of an activated fan.

HVAC system having air-conditioning channels for target seats

A heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) system of a vehicle. The HVAC system includes: an air-conditioning unit including a blower, a heater unit, and a cooling unit, and a temperature adjustment door making conditioned-air pass through the heater unit or the cooling unit; and an air-conditioning channel unit including a plurality of discharge channels, through which the conditioned-air is discharged from the air-conditioning unit to specific seats or interior air is returned to the specific seats. The air-conditioning channel unit further includes doors disposed in the plurality of discharge channels so as to control discharging of the conditioned-air to the specific seats and returning of the conditioned-air from the specific seats to re-circulate.

METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR A VEHICLE SANITIZING MODE

Methods and systems are provided for heat sanitizing a vehicle. In one example, a method may include, responsive to receiving a request for cleaning an interior of a vehicle, adjusting a position of a sun shade based on at least one of an ambient temperature outside of the vehicle and a sun load of the vehicle, and operating a heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning (HVAC) system to heat the interior above an upper threshold temperature for a first threshold duration. In this way, the HVAC system may be advantageously used to expose the vehicle interior to temperatures that kill or inactive microbes.
