The first check valve set and the second check valve set together maintain a constant flow direction through the first expansion device, the second heat exchanger, and the second expansion device between the heating mode and the cooling mode.

The air inlet of the housing is divided by a first divider into an OSA portion exclusively receiving outside air and a REC portion exclusively receiving recycled air. Each of the evaporator and the heater has a respective OSA portion receiving the outside air and a REC portion receiving the recycled air entering the HVAC module through the inlet. A second divider between the evaporator and the heater directs the outside air from the REC portion of the evaporator to the REC portion of the heater. Two temperature doors control access of separate partial streams of the recycled air from the evaporator to the heater.

The heat pump air conditioner assembly includes a heat pump air conditioning system and a HVAC box body. An in-vehicle heat exchanger of the heat pump air conditioning system is located in the HVAC box body. An auxiliary heater is also arranged in the HVAC box body. The auxiliary heater is located at a leeward side of the in-vehicle heat exchanger. The heat pump air conditioning system is provided with a defrosting branch connecting with a refrigerant outlet of an external heat exchanger and a suction port of a compressor. When the heat pump air conditioning system is in a defrosting mode, the HVAC box body supplies air to the vehicle, the auxiliary heater is turned on.

The invention relates to a refrigeration installation (1), to a method for same, and to a refrigeration installation system for controlling the temperature of air, including at least one compressor (3), at least one expansion element (39), and at least one first (5) and a second (7) heat exchanger, each of which can be operated as a condenser or a gas cooler, wherein at least one of the heat exchangers can be operated as an evaporator or at least one additional heat exchanger is provided which can be operated as an evaporator. A refrigerant line is equipped with a first valve (11) downstream of at least one compressor (3) at or downstream of a branch (9) and upstream of or at the condenser or gas cooler inlet (15) of the first heat exchanger (5), and a second valve (19) is arranged at or downstream of the condenser or gas cooler outlet (17) of the first heat exchanger (5) and upstream of or as an expansion element. The refrigeration installation (1) contains at least one valve controller (13) for the first (11) and second valve (19) with at least one first and second possible valve set-up in order to displace the refrigerant, wherein the first valve (11) is open while the second valve (19) is closed at the same time in the first set-up and vice versa in the second set-up. The valve controller (13) comprises an automatic regulator which sets the first valve switch set-up for at least one heat exchanger (5, 7) which is not being used as a with refrigerant flowing through condenser or gas cooler at the moment when a specified refrigerant quantity is exceeded in the refrigerant circuit through which refrigerant is flowing.

The front HVAC unit may include a cold air outlet that supplies cold air to an electrically-powered heater positioned in a console of the vehicle. The electrically-powered heater includes an electricity-to-air heat exchanger to control a temperature of conditioned air supplied to at least one rear zone of the passenger compartment. The system may include an auxiliary climate control system having an auxiliary heater core and an auxiliary evaporator positioned in a rear portion of the vehicle to provide conditioned air to one or more rear climate zones.

The control device controls the outputs of the first and second pumps so that when making both of the outputs rise or fall, the flow rate of the heat medium flowing through the first flow path becomes temporarily larger than the target flow rate.

VEHICLE CABIN AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM

A vehicle cabin air conditioning system includes a cabin indoor air conditioner and an individual air conditioner configured to condition air in a target space inside a cabin. The individual air conditioner includes a blower, a heat generator, a supply port, and an exhaust port. The supply port supplies one of a cold air cooled with the heat generator and a warm air heated with the heat generator to the target space. The exhaust port provides the other of the cold air and the warm air to outside of the target space. The cabin indoor air conditioner includes a cabin blower, a temperature control unit, and a suction port through which air is sucked for the temperature control unit. An air flow path is provided to guide air sent from the exhaust port of the individual air conditioner to the suction port of the cabin indoor air conditioner.
