VEHICULAR AIR CONDITIONER
A vehicular air conditioner includes an air conditioning, a heater core, a heat pump cycle unit, a temperature detector, and a controller. The heat pump cycle unit includes a first inside heat exchanger disposed downstream of the heater core in a flow direction of a conditioning air, a second inside heat exchanger disposed upstream of the heater core in the flow direction of the conditioning air, and an outside heat exchanger. The temperature detector is configured to detect a passage air temperature, the passage air temperature being a temperature of the conditioning air that has passed through the heater core. The controller is configured to selectively switch a circuit layout of the heat pump cycle unit between a cooling circuit, a heating circuit, and a dehumidifying-heating circuit based on the passage air temperature.

An air conditioning system has a heat pump, a first-liquid-medium circuit in which a first liquid medium circulates, a second-liquid-medium circuit in which a second liquid medium circulates, a heat source, a connection switching device, and a controller. The connection switching device switches between a connection state in which the heat source is connected to the second-liquid-medium circuit and a disconnection state in which the heat source is disconnected from the second-liquid-medium circuit. The controller controls the connection switching device to switch between the connection state and the disconnection state based on a heat-related physical quantity relating to a heat of the first-liquid-medium circuit, a heat-related physical quantity a heat of the second-liquid-medium circuit, a heat-related physical quantity the heat generated by the heat source, or a heat-related physical quantity a heat of the heat pump.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR OPERATING A HEAT PUMP OF A VEHICLE
Methods and systems for providing control of a heat pump of a motor vehicle are presented. In one operating mode, speed of a heat pump compressor is controlled responsive to an outlet pressure of the heat pump compressor. In a second operating mode, speed of the heat pump compressor is controlled responsive to a pressure ratio between an inlet and an outlet of the heat pump compressor.
HEATING APPARATUS OF VEHICLE
A heating apparatus of the invention executes a first heating control for heating a heater core by a heat generation device when a process of heating the heater core is requested while an engine operation is stopped. The heating apparatus executes a second heating control for heating the cooling water which cooled an internal combustion engine, by the heat generation device and supplying the heated cooling water to the heater core when a heater core temperature is not increased to a requested temperature only by the heat generation device. The heating apparatus executes a third heating control for stopping the engine operation, heating the cooling water which cooled the internal combustion engine, by the heat generation device, and supplying the heated cooling water to the heater core when an engine temperature becomes equal to or higher than a predetermined temperature while the second heating control is executed.

A refrigeration cycle device including a first pressure reducing valve, a first evaporator that exchanges heat between the refrigerant decompressed in the first pressure reducing valve and air, a second pressure reducing valve that is disposed in parallel with the first pressure reducing valve; a second evaporator in which the refrigerant decompressed in the second pressure reducing valve to absorbs heat from a battery; a third pressure reducing valve that reduces the pressure of the refrigerant evaporated in the second evaporator; and a controller configured to control opening degrees of the second pressure reducing valve and the third pressure reducing valve. The controller performs a limit control for controlling the opening degree of the second pressure reducing valve to an opening degree of smaller one of a battery cooling opening degree and an air cooling opening degree.
Thermoelectric enhanced hybrid heat pump systems
Thermoelectric enhanced hybrid heat pump systems are provided herein. A compressor increases the pressure of refrigerant within tubing. A first heat exchanger is downstream of the compressor and changes enthalpy of first fluid flow through heat exchange with refrigerant. A second heat exchanger changes enthalpy of second fluid flow through heat exchange with refrigerant. A thermoelectric device is downstream of the first heat exchanger and reduces refrigerant temperature. Expansion valves are downstream of the thermoelectric device and first heat exchanger, respectively located on first and second sides of the thermoelectric device, and expand refrigerant and reduce refrigerant pressure while conserving refrigerant enthalpy. At least one valve reverses refrigerant flow within the tubing without changing compressor operation. A control system controls the thermoelectric device and at least one valve to switch the heat pump system from heating mode to cooling mode and from cooling mode to heating mode.

A vehicle air-conditioning apparatus according to the present invention includes an air-conditioning refrigerant circuit that circulates a refrigerant to cool an inside of a vehicle, a branching refrigerant circuit that branches from the air-conditioning refrigerant circuit and cools a heat generating device, a branching control valve that is provided in the branching refrigerant circuit and controls a flow of the refrigerant flowing into the branching refrigerant circuit from the air-conditioning refrigerant circuit, and a control unit that controls an operation of the air-conditioning refrigerant circuit and the branching control valve. After transition to an operation of cooling the inside of the vehicle by the air-conditioning refrigerant circuit and cooling the heat generating device by the branching refrigerant circuit in parallel, the control unit opens and closes the branching control valve in accordance with a cooling capacity state of the air-conditioning refrigerant circuit.

A heat pump system control method for a vehicle includes a process (A) of operating a compressor of an air conditioner to cool or heat an interior of the vehicle while the vehicle is driving, measuring by a controller initial states of the compressor and a refrigerant based on data detected from a data detector, and monitoring the compressor, a process (B) of determining by the controller whether a current coil temperature of a motor unit provided in the compressor is higher than a coil specification temperature through the process (A) and operating a protection mode; and a process (C) of, when the process (B) is completed, calculating by the controller a slope of a coil temperature of the motor unit over time, determining whether the temperature slope is greater than zero (0) three times consecutively to stop the operation of the compressor, and terminating control.
