Edible product comprising reconstituted plant material
The present invention relates to an edible product, which comprises a fibrous plant product and a plant extract applied thereto. Further, the invention relates to a corresponding method for producing said edible product and its use in at least one of food, food supplement, medicinal, cosmetic, well-being, nutraceutical or phytotherapeutical applications. The plants used may be all plants comprising one or more substances of interest for an edible product.
A TEA PRODUCT AND PROCESS FOR PREPARING THE SAME
The present invention relates to a tea product and more particularly the present invention relates to a black tea product. According to the present invention there is provided a process for producing a tea product comprises the steps of: a) extracting a leaf tea product comprising both a soluble part and an insoluble part with a solvent; b) separating the insoluble part from the soluble part; c) compacting the insoluble part to obtain a base tea material; d) drying the base tea material to a moisture content of less than 5% by weight. e) contacting the soluble part obtained in step (b) with the dried base tea material; f) further drying the mixture to obtain the tea product.

Method and Device for Controlling the Production of an Extract Using a Solid-Liquid Extraction Process
Controlling the production of an extract using solid-liquid extraction that improves the exchange of material during the extraction process and allows a controlled dehumidification of a raffinate with residual moisture in order to obtain additional valuable extract is described. The steps include providing a first mass in an extraction container, supplying a second mass to the first mass without spatial constraints and distributing and mixing the second mass into and with the first mass, discharging a mixture of the extract and the raffinate from the extraction container, separating the discharged mixture into the raffinate with residual moisture and extracts released from the raffinate with residual moisture, and further treating the raffinate with residual moisture at least such that the residual moisture consisting of the extract is at least partly removed from the raffinate with residual moisture by dehumidification and is supplied to the already separated extract.
USE OF GREEN COFFEE BASED COMPOSITIONS FOR IMPROVING INSULIN PROFILE
The present invention relates to a green coffee-based composition comprising hydrolysed chlorogenic acid for use in the treatment or prevention of a disorder linked to an increase in plasma postprandial insulin in a subject. The invention relates also to the non-therapeutic use of a composition comprising an esterase treated decaffeinated green coffee extract with an amount of 40-200 mg administered to a subject per day to decrease plasma postprandial insulin concentration. A further aspect of the invention is a process for forming green coffee based compositions.

Low bulk density composition for making a tea beverage having reduced dust or fines
The present disclosure relates to an infusion product for making a beverage, such as a tea or tea-like drink. In order to produce the composition of the present disclosure, plant materials are contacted with a solvent to remove an extract. The remaining plant materials are then formed into a fibrous structure or network, such as a sheet or fibrous layer. The extract may be further treated or concentrated and then reapplied to the plant materials. In accordance with the present disclosure, the resulting sheet or layer is then reduced to discrete pieces having a unique particle size distribution. Through the process of the present disclosure, a composition is produced that not only has a minimal amount of fines and dust, but can also have a relatively low bulk density.
Granular composition comprising dietary fibers derived from green tea and method for preparing the same
A granular composition containing dietary fibers derived from green tea and a method for preparing the same are provided. The granular composition may be prepared into granules, which has a suitable size and a shape to eat, using processed green tea having an insoluble dietary fiber content of 70% by weight or more; and a sugar alcohol as raw materials. The granular composition may also be useful in solving the problems such as dust scattering, throat choking, and the like due to the good flowability of the granules, and useful in manufacturing articles because the granular composition is easy to quantify due to the good filling properties.
