The vent window assembly comprises: a movable vent window pane adapted for closing the vent window opening in closed state of the vent window assembly; a first vent window frame assembly comprising a first support frame arranged on a first surface of the main window pane; and a second vent window frame assembly comprising a second support frame arranged on a second surface of the main window pane, wherein the second vent window frame assembly is rigidly attached to the first vent window frame assembly at the vent window opening such that the first and second vent window frame assemblies fasten each other at the main window pane.

SLIDING VEHICLE WINDOW HAVING MINIMAL PERIMETER SEAL

A vehicle includes a window having an internal opening defined by an angled edge forming a clear space generally shaped as a truncated pyramid. An operable window panel is slidable relative to the internal opening to define open and closed positions. A compressible elastic sealing member is disposed along the angled edge, wherein the sealing member defines a substantially convex profile when the operable window panel in the open position. A guide assembly is positioned adjacent an interior surface of the window and adapted to guide the operable window panel between the open and closed positions. The closed position is defined by an outer surface of the operable window panel being co-planar with an exterior surface of the window. The closed position is further characterized by the sealing member being deformed to occupy at least the seam defined between the window and the operable window panel.

A rear slider window assembly for a vehicle includes a fixed window panel and a movable window panel that is movable between a closed position and an opened position. The movable window panel includes a laminated movable window panel having an electrical element disposed between an inner glass panel and an outer glass panel. The first electrical element is in electrical connection with a wire harness of the vehicle via a flexible connector electrically connected to a first electrical connector at an inner surface of the movable window panel and to a second electrical connector at the inner surface of the fixed window panel. The first electrical connector is electrically connected to the first electrical element via a thin flat connector that extends from the first electrical connector and wraps around a perimeter edge of the inner glass panel of the movable window panel.

Vehicle rear slider window assembly with enhanced rail attachment

A slider window assembly for a vehicle includes at least one fixed window panel and a frame portion attached at the at least one fixed window panel. A movable window panel is movable along upper and lower rails of the frame portion and movable between a closed position and an opened position. At least one of the upper and lower rails includes a recess for receiving adhesive therein and a tapered end region at an end of the recess. The tapered end region includes at least one notch or groove through a wall that at least partially circumscribes the recess, with the notch or groove configured to allow excess adhesive to escape during the adhesive bonding of the at least one of the upper and lower rails to the at least one fixed window panel. The tapered end region has an outer tapered surface opposite the recess.

Sealing system for movable window of rear window assembly

A method of forming a unitary perimeter seal for attachment at a fixed window panel of a slider window assembly of a vehicle includes forming upper, lower and side sealing portions each having elongated body portions and sealing lips extending substantially therealong. The upper and lower sealing portion are arranged with first ends adjacent a respective end of a first side sealing portion and second ends adjacent a respective end of a second side sealing portion. The sealing portions are arranged so as to result in a perimeter frame that circumscribes an opening for the slider window assembly. Corner regions are molded at and partially over adjacent ends of the elongated body portions of the sealing portions, such that the corner regions include a curved sealing lip that provides a transition between the sealing lips of the adjacent ends of the sealing portions.

Sliding window assembly

A cable drive system and a sliding window assembly for a vehicle are disclosed. The sliding window assembly includes a track adapted to be coupled to the vehicle. The sliding window assembly further includes a sliding panel coupled to the track and movable relative to the track between an open position and a closed position. A heating grid is coupled to the sliding panel for defrosting the sliding panel. The sliding window assembly also includes a cable coupled to the sliding panel for moving the sliding panel between the open and closed positions. In addition, the sliding window assembly includes a conductive element electrically connected to the heating grid and coupled with the cable such that the conductive element moves concurrently with the cable as the cable moves the sliding panel between the open and closed positions.
