Vehicle accessory device and system
Disclosed herein are accessory devices and systems for vehicles including: a base plate assembly comprising a base plate and an articulating bracket, the base plate configured to be fixedly secured to a portion of a vehicle and the articulating bracket configured to be releasably secured to the vehicle using the base plate at a plurality of locations; and at least one auxiliary visor panel or accessory connected to the base plate assembly. Also disclosed herein are method of using the disclosed devices and systems for interchangeably moving the base plate assembly with connected auxiliary visor panel or accessory between vehicles.
VEHICLE SUN VISOR
A vehicle sun visor has a sun visor body including an electrical component, an arm including a cylindrical-end portion with contact parts of a pair of conductors and rotatably holding the sun visor body, a mounting bracket for mounting the arm to a vehicle, and a connector including a pair of terminals to contact with a corresponding contact part of the pair of conductors. On the upper side and the lower side of the cylindrical-end portion exposed outside an arm-supporting portion of the mounting bracket, a small-diameter cylindrical-end portion and a large-diameter cylindrical-end portion are provided. The small-diameter cylindrical-end portion and the large-diameter cylindrical-end portion are provided with cutouts provided at alternate positions. First arcuate plate shape contact part is arranged on an outer peripheral surface of the small-diameter cylindrical-end portion, and second arcuate plate shape contact part is arranged on an outer peripheral surface of the large-diameter cylindrical-end portion.
Car visor
A car visor having a light blocking visor sheet attached rotatably to a horizontal shaft which is secured rotatably at one end with a vertical leg above the windshield. An end shaft is fixed to the free end of the visor sheet in alignment with the horizontal shaft. A flexing receptacle attached above the windshield receives and holds the end shaft. The end shaft is partially cylindrical with larger thickness and partially flat with smaller thickness. When the visor sheet is rotated to near vertical orientation, the receptacle flexes against the thinner flat side of the end shaft, allowing the shaft to be pulled out of or pushed into the receptacle with less force compared to other visor sheet orientations where the receptacle flexes against the thicker cylindrical side of the end shaft. Therefore, the driver can maneuver the visor safely and comfortably between windshield and side window.
SUN VISOR FOR VEHICLE
A sun visor for a vehicle, includes a sun visor body including a pair of shell-shaped halved bodies that are joined to each other at multiple positions, and an arm. At least one joining structure of multiple joining structures including a pin portion projecting from an inner surface of the halved body of one half and an insertion hole of the halved body of the other half through which the pin portion can be inserted. A front end of the pin portion has an umbrella-like portion formed by riveting so as to restrict a relative movement between the halved body of the one half and the halved body of the other half in the thickness direction.
Sun visor mounting apparatus, system, and method
The present disclosure is a sun visor mounting apparatus, system or method having a mounting plate with a J hooked end configured to receive a sun visor, a securing plate opposing the J hooked end, configured in a U shape for receiving the sun visor. A joining plate configured in a V shape with a first side capable of coupling to the mounting plate, and a second side capable of coupling to an extension plate, and the extension plate can have a first side of a coupled to the joining plate, and a second side configured to engage against a fixed structure. One or more fasteners may be utilized with each plate to secure them together. To accommodate different sizes and configurations, the joining plate and extension plate may be extending to satisfactory positions, to engage with a fixed structure for the stability of the mounting plate.
