VEHICLE DOOR
A vehicle door includes a lower part and an upper part designed as a window frame. The upper part includes several frame elements, which are joined together by spraying plastic onto the frame elements.
DOOR IMPACT BEAM
A main body (2) has door attaching portions respectively formed on both end sides of a long longitudinal direction thereof and a bending deformation generation portion (3) disposed between the door attaching portions, and the bending deformation generation portion (3) has a groove bottom portion (4), two edge line portions (5a, 5b), two vertical wall portions (6a, 6b), two curved portions (7a, 7b), and two flanges (8a, 8b). There is provided a bead (13) which is formed toward the longitudinal direction of the main body (2) in a part of the groove bottom portion (4) in a manner to project in a shape having a curved surface toward the outside of a cross-sectional shape of the bending deformation generation portion (3) so as to oppose an impact load acting on a door impact beam (1).
METHOD FOR LASER-WELDING METAL PLATE LAMINATES AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING VEHICLE DOOR FRAME USING THE SAME
A method for laser-welding metal plate laminates that is a laser welding method for laminating and bonding at least two metal plates, the method includes providing a protruding portion to one of the two metal plates; and causing the protruding portion to contact the other metal plate, and irradiating the protruding portion with laser beam so as to melt the protruding portion while applying force between the two metal plates to apply pressure to a contact portion of the protruding portion and the other metal plate.
Vehicle door structure
A vehicle door structure having an inner door panel and a reinforcing structure. The inner door panel has a main upright portion, a front wall portion, a rear wall portion and a lower wall portion extending horizontally along a lower area of the main upright portion from a lower end of the front wall portion to a lower end of the rear wall portion. The reinforcing structure extends between the front wall portion and the rear wall portion. The reinforcing structure includes a first bracket fixed to at least one of the front wall portion and the main upright portion of the inner door panel and a reinforcing bar having a first end section rigidly fixed to the first bracket. The first end section of the reinforcing bar has a contoured end surface that is spaced apart from adjacent surfaces of the first bracket.
Vehicle door
A vehicle door is provided having an outer panel reinforced by a panel reinforcement and which is configured to generate low-frequency sound dominantly at the time of closing the door. The door has an outer panel openably/closably attached to a vehicle body by a front hinge; and a panel reinforcement extending in a vehicle front-rear direction on an inner side of the outer panel. The outer panel and the panel reinforcement are fixed by plural adhesion sections. The number of the adhesion sections in an upper area of the outer panel is larger than the number of the adhesion sections in a lower area of the outer panel. The number of the adhesion sections provided in a front lower area near the front hinge in the lower area is larger than the number of adhesion sections in a rear lower area away from the front hinge in the lower area.
Vehicle door structure
A vehicle door structure has: a door inner panel that is made of resin and that, together with a door outer panel, structures a door main body portion having a substantially closed cross-sectional shape; a beam having a main body portion, that extends in a door longitudinal direction, and an extended portion that is made of metal and is provided in continuation with a length direction end portion of the main body portion, the beam being disposed within the closed cross-section of the door main body portion; and a bent portion that is bendingly formed at the extended portion, and that, as seen in plan view, is disposed further toward a door thickness direction outer side than the frame main body portion.
TUBULAR REINFORCEMENT FOR VEHICLE
A tubular reinforcement for a vehicle including a tubular portion having a sheet metal rolled to have closed edges, and an integral attachment portion formed from the same sheet metal, the attachment portion extending longitudinally from a tubular portion end and having a planar attachment base. The attachment base is raised to bring forward the contact surface, forming a peripheral wall. The tubular reinforcement is disposed in the vehicle so that an attachment base contact surface closely contacts a mounting location in the vehicle. The attachment portion lateral edges have lateral flanges on the peripheral wall opposite sides extending along with the peripheral wall toward the contact surface plane. The peripheral wall and the lateral flanges form turnback portions on both sides of the attachment base, each turnback portions defining a concavity recessed from the contact surface and having a U- or J-shaped section perpendicular to a tubular portion centerline.
DOOR IMPACT BEAM
A door impact beam for a door of a motor vehicle includes a first fastening portion configured to be fastened to a first fastening intersection of the door and a second fastening portion configured to be fastened to a second fastening intersection of the door. A profiled portion extends between the first fastening portion and the second fastening portion. The profiled portion is designed at least in sections as a hollow profile with two side walls disposed opposite to each other and two connecting walls disposed opposite to each other which connect the side walls to each other. The connecting walls have an outwardly directed convex curvature.
VEHICLE SIDE STRUCTURE
A vehicle side structure includes a door, a protruding member, an engagement portion, and a connection member. The door is configured to open and close a side surface opening of a vehicle body of a vehicle. The protruding member is provided on the door and protrudes outward from an outer plate member of the door. The engagement portion is provided in the vehicle body and is engaged with the protruding member is configured to move inward in a vehicle width direction at a time of side collision of the vehicle. The connection member connects the outer plate member of the door with another member and extends in the vehicle width direction. The connection member has a bend starting point portion serving as a starting point of bending of the connection member at the time of side collision of the vehicle.
Vehicle side structure
A vehicle side structure including a rear impact beam mounted in a rear side door, a rear quarter section having a flange overlapping a rear portion of the rear impact beam, and a gusset aligned with the rear portion of the rear impact beam in an overlap area between the rear portion of the rear impact beam and the flange of the rear quarter section.
