Armrest Device
Provided is an armrest device that can be positioned in an appropriate position suitable for the build of the vehicle occupant. The armrest device comprises an interior member provided on an inboard side of a vehicle door, and an armrest main body supported by the interior member so as to be moveable between an initial position and a projecting position more inboard and forward than the initial position.
STRUCTURAL MODULE HAVING FRANGIBLE EXTENSION MEMBER
A structural door module for a motor vehicle door includes a carrier plate with a dryside and wetside surface configured for mounting components thereto. The carrier plate includes an extension member projecting inwardly toward the vehicle interior. A frangible connection seam is disposed at least partially around the interface between the extension member and the carrier plate. In response to a side impact load, the carrier plate moves inwardly, and the frangible connection seam at least partially severs. The carrier plate moves inwardly relative to the extension member, limiting intrusion of the extension member into the passenger compartment.
VEHICLE DOOR ASSEMBLY
A vehicle door assembly includes an inner door panel that defines a door cavity, a latch mechanism and a reinforcing bracket. The latch mechanism has a latch lever that moves when the latch mechanism is operated to release the vehicle door from a closed orientation. The reinforcing bracket has a first end and a second end. The first end is attached to a forward area of the inner door panel. The second end has an attachment portion, a lever capture portion and a tab portion. The attachment portion is attached to a rearward area of the inner door panel. The lever capture portion is outboard from the latch lever. The tab portion is adjacent to the lever capture portion. The reinforcing bracket is shaped and configured to deform in response to an impact event moving the lever capture portion inboard toward the latch lever interfering with movement thereof.

The first and second pluralities of curved segments laterally extend when the liftgate is subjected to an impact force.

An impact absorbing reinforcement member for a liftgate of a vehicle includes a body having a first end and second end opposite the first end, the body including a center reinforcement member, a first outboard reinforcement member extending from the center reinforcement member to the first end and including a first plurality of curved segments, and a second outboard reinforcement member extending from the center reinforcement member to the second end and including a second plurality of curved segments. The first and second pluralities of curved segments laterally extend when the liftgate is subjected to an impact force.
COMPONENT PROVIDED FOR ENERGY ABSORPTION
The proposed solution relates to a component that is provided for energy absorption in the event of a force (F) acting on the component (1).
The component (1) is configured with a component structure (10) integrating at least one first energy absorption mechanism and at least one second energy absorption mechanism, by means of which the first and second energy absorption mechanisms can be activated in the event of a force acting on the component (1) and exceeding a threshold value.
VEHICLE SIDE DOOR
A vehicle side door for a vehicle includes an inner panel, a door beam, and a bracket. The inner panel includes a wall extending in a direction intersecting a panel main body extending in a front-rear direction of a vehicle body. The door beam extends in the front-rear direction of the vehicle body and is joined to a front portion of the inner panel and a rear portion of the inner panel. The bracket is interposed between the inner panel and the door beam. The bracket includes a beam joint welded in surface contact with an end of the door beam, and a panel joint welded in surface contact with the wall of the inner panel.
