ARRANGEMENT CONFIGURED TO OPPOSE MOVEMENT OF VEHICLE DOOR
This disclosure relates to a motor vehicle with an arrangement configured to oppose movement of a vehicle door, and a corresponding method. An example motor vehicle includes a body, a door configured to slide relative to the body between an open position and a closed position, and a bracket connected to the door. The bracket includes a slot. Further, a locking arm is mounted to the body, and, when the door is in the closed position, the locking arm is configured to move such that the locking arm is received in the slot.
Versatile door systems for vehicles
A versatile door system for a vehicle having a frame with an opening. The door system includes a door assembly including a hingeable door and a slidable door. The hingeable door is hingeably coupled to the frame proximate the opening. The slidable door is slidably coupled to the hingeable door. A rail system includes a segmented upper rail having a first portion coupled to the frame and a second portion formed on an exterior side of the hingeable door. The slidable door includes a slider bearing configured to sequentially engage the first and second portions of the segmented upper rail along a path of travel of the slidable door. In a closed configuration, the hingeable door and the slidable door are securably disposed within the opening. The hingeable door and the slidable door are configured to collectively provide access to selectable portions of the opening.
Passenger seats and doors for an autonomous vehicle
An autonomous can include one or more configurable passenger seats to accommodate a plurality of different seating configurations. For instance, the one or more passenger seats can include a passenger seat defining a seating orientation. The passenger seat can be configurable in a first configuration in which the seating orientation is directed towards a forward end of the autonomous vehicle and a second configuration in which the seating orientation is directed towards a rear end of the autonomous vehicle. The passenger seat can include a seatback rotatable about a pivot point on a base of the passenger seat to switch between the first configuration and the second configuration. Alternatively, or additionally, the autonomous vehicle can include a door assembly pivotably fixed to a vehicle body of the autonomous vehicle such that a swept path of the door assembly when moving between an open position and a closed position is reduced.
VEHICLE STEP BAR
A vehicle includes a vehicle body including a front pillar and a rear pillar spaced from the front pillar. The vehicle body includes a rocker extending from the front pillar to the rear pillar. The vehicle includes a step bar supported by the rocker. The step bar extends from a first end aligned with the front pillar to a second end aligned with the rear pillar. The step bar is movable between a raised position and a lowered position. In the raised position, the step bar overlaps the rocker in a vehicle-outboard direction. The step bar extends upwardly above the rocker.
DOOR SEALING AND TIMING MECHANISM FOR USE IN COACH DOOR CONFIGURATION FOR A VEHICLE
A vehicle includes a body having an uninterrupted side aperture that provides access to an interior passenger cabin. A front door is hingedly attached at a forward edge of the uninterrupted side aperture. The front door is selectively operable between front open and front closed positions. A rear door is hingedly attached at a rearward edge of the uninterrupted side aperture. The rear door is selectively operable between rear open and rear closed positions. A latching assembly is at least partially positioned within the body and configured to receive the front door in the front closed position and the rear door in the rear closed position. A sealing assembly is defined between a forward seal of the rear door and a rearward seal of the front door. The forward and rearward seals engage one another in a fully-closed position.
Closure assembly with articulating hinge cover
A closure system includes a closure panel assembly and a hinge assembly configured to connect the closure panel assembly to a body. The hinge assembly includes a first hinge and a second hinge configured to be pivotably secured to the body and to the closure panel assembly in parallel, the hinge assembly establishing a four-bar linkage. The closure system includes a hinge cover configured to be fixed to the first hinge and pivotably connected to the closure panel assembly. The closure panel assembly is movable between a closed position and an open position via pivoting of the first hinge and the second hinge. The closure panel assembly at least partially covering an opening in the closed position and at least partially uncovering the opening in the open position. The hinge cover articulated alongside the first hinge and at least partially covers the first hinge in the closed position.
VEHICLE DOOR SYSTEM AND A METHOD FOR IMPROVING DURABILITY OF A DOOR SYSTEM
A door system for a vehicle includes a vehicle body structure and a first door structure. The first door structure includes a first door beam extending between a lower part and an upper part of the vehicle body structure when the first door structure is closed. The first door beam includes a first engaging part arranged to interact with an essentially correspondingly shaped first receiving guide rail when the first door structure is in the closed position. The first receiving guide rail extends in a lateral direction of the vehicle body structure, aligned with an extension of a first cross member extending in a lateral direction of the vehicle body structure. Upon a side collision, the first door beam is arranged to engage with the first cross member and the receiving guide rail is arranged to prevent the first engaging part from moving in a vertical direction.
LOCKING MECHANISM FOR SLIDEABLE VEHICLE DOORS
An assembly for a vehicle includes a first door and a second door movable from an open position to a closed position. The assembly includes a first anchor supported by the first pillar movable along an axis to an engaged position. The assembly includes a first rod supported by the first door movable along an axis to an engaged position. The assembly includes a second rod supported by the second door movable along the axis to an engaged position. The first anchor is lockingly engaged with the first rod when first anchor is in the engaged position. The first rod is lockingly engaged with the second rod when the first rod is in the engaged position and the first anchor is in the engaged position.
DOOR DEVICE FOR VEHICLE
A door device includes a door configured to open or close a door opening formed in a vehicle body, a guide pin provided at a lower end portion of the door and extending toward a lower end portion of the vehicle body, and a guide module provided on the lower end portion of the vehicle body and slidably coupled with the guide pin as the guide pin is inserted in the guide module.
DOOR HINGE DEVICE FOR VEHICLES
A door hinge device for a vehicle is disclosed. In the door hinge device for the vehicle according to an embodiment of the present disclosure, in the vehicle without the B pillar, as the hinge slider connected to the hinge part of the door slides and moves in the outer diagonal direction of the vehicle body along the rails inside the case to secure the rotation trajectory of the door, and then the slide latch part configured in the hinge slider restrains the striker fixed to the case by the linked operation of the link arm connected to the door hinge bracket, thereby the slide movement position of the hinge slider is fixed, and then the opening/closing operation of the door is stably achieved.
