Vehicle roof which can be opened and which comprises a movable cover
A vehicle roof which can be opened, comprising a cover that can be moved between a closed position and an open position in which the cover is raised at least at the rear edge of the cover and is at least partly moved over an adjoining roof portion. The cover is supported by means of a front bearing device, which can be moved by a drive device, such that the cover can be moved along a front guide rail and by means of a rear bearing device such that the cover can be raised over the adjoining roof portion and moved along a rear guide rail.
Roof assembly for a vehicle
A roof assembly for a vehicle, having a roof opening in its fixed roof, comprises at least one movable panel closing said roof opening in its closed position and being movable from said closed position rearwardly and upwardly above the fixed roof. A driven operating mechanism supports the panel and comprises a telescope including a first telescopic part attached to the panel and a second telescopic part attached to a remainder of the operating mechanism. A height adjusting mechanism is provided between the panel and the operating mechanism. This height adjusting mechanism is arranged and adjusts the height between the first and second telescopic parts.
Movable panel assemblies
A vehicle includes a roof opening, a front window that is located forward from the roof opening, and a rear window that is located rearward from the roof opening. The vehicle also includes a first panel and a second panel. The first panel and the second panel obstruct the roof opening in a closed position and are movable to an open position in which the first panel is positioned adjacent to an exterior surface of the front window and the second panel is positioned adjacent to an exterior surface of the rear window.
DRIVE MECHANISM FOR A VEHICLE AND METHOD FOR MOVING PANELS FOR A VEHICLE
A drive mechanism for vehicle movable panels having a first slide mechanism having a rod and a sled with a tilt lever, the rod being coupled with the tilt lever for pivoting the tilt lever in a first state and the rod being decoupled from the tilt lever in a second state such that the tilt lever is movable relative to the rod and relative to the guide rail along the first direction, the sled comprising a holding element. In a first position the holding element is locked to the guide rail such that the sled is latched relative to the guide rail and in a second position the sled is movable relative to the guide rail to transmit a movement of the sled along the first direction to a second slide mechanism and the holding element holds the tilt lever, when the rod is decoupled from the tilt lever.
SLIDING ROOF ASSEMBLY FOR SPORT VEHICLE
A non-motorized panoramic sliding hard panel targa roof, desirable for most sport vehicle owners is disclosed. A manually operated, rear sliding hard panel roof assembly is capable of being manually opened and closed without a need to leave the driver compartment. The present design is a semi-permanent driver compartment enclosure, easy to install and remove by the driver without requiring any outside assistance, and one that can easily be modified from the factory roof panels to the configuration of the present invention, as well as being easily changed back to the original configuration from the factory. Because it is semi-permanent, the roof panel does not need to be removed, thereby alleviating any need to store the panel away from the vehicle. The present sliding assembly can easily be attached to the vehicle without interrupting any of the original functionality of the vehicle, and without the need for any special tools. By relatively simple attachments, the roof panel assembly may be used to attach it to the vehicle without any need to modify the original factory vehicle roof.
Arrangement Comprising a Cover for a Vehicle Roof
An arrangement with a cover for a vehicle roof, which can be raised for opening by way of deployment means in the rear region thereof and which cover can be displaced toward the rear over the vehicle roof into an open position. The deployment means have a displaceable sliding carriage and a rear deployment lever which is pivotably coupled to the cover and which is pivotably coupled to a bearing which is stationary fixed with respect to the guide rail and which has a first coupling element. Furthermore, the deployment means have a deployment rod for the deployment of the rear deployment lever. The stationary fixed bearing is arranged such that a pivot axis of the stationary fixed bearing is arranged above a base of the guide rail.
Vehicle Having a Slider for Guiding a Displaceable Element
A vehicle having a slider for guiding a displaceable element of the vehicle relative to a body of the vehicle, wherein the slider can be arranged so as to be movable along a guide element, and has a plastics region and a metal region. The slider may be embodied in one piece, wherein the metal region is at least partially overmolded with the plastics region. The slider may be configured such that at least one portion of the slider engages at least partially around the guide element.
Vehicle roof cover having a frame part
A cover for closing a vehicle surface opening is provided which has a frame part secured to the underside of the cover on one side at a frame part securing section by an application of plastic foam on the cover, and which contacts the underside of the cover on the other side at a free section of the frame part via at least one spacer. The frame part may also include at least one filling opening on the free section thereof for introducing a reactive plastic material forming the spacer, and the plastic material introduced through the filling opening into a gap between the free section of the frame part secured to the cover and the underside of the cover retains the free section of the frame on the underside of the cover in a positioned and/or fixed manner as a spacer after reacting or curing.
Vehicle roof having a roof opening system and drive device for kinematic units
A vehicle having a roof opening system having a lid element displaceable between a closed and opened position, displacement kinematics for displacing the lid element which are disposed on either side of a vertical longitudinal roof plane, each of the displacement kinematics having a guide rail, a front kinematic unit guided in the guide rail and a rear kinematic unit disposed in the guide rail, and a set of drive cables for the two kinematic units. The guide rail may have a first cable duct section for a first drive cable of the set of drive cables, the first drive cable being driven by a first drive motor and driving the front kinematic unit, and a second cable duct section for a second drive cable of the set of drive cables, the second drive cable being driven by a second drive motor and driving the rear kinematic unit.
OPEN ROOF CONSTRUCTION FOR A VEHICLE
An open roof construction for a vehicle comprises at least a movable lever to which, by means of a pin-like member, a slide shoe is connected that, for defining a movement of the movable lever, cooperates with and moves longitudinally along a guide. The pin-like member at a first end is connected to said lever and at a second end is connected to said slide shoe and the guide and slide shoe are provided with at least one pair of cooperating guide part and slide shoe part. The pin-like member at its second end is provided with an enlarged head configured to engage the slide shoe at a side thereof facing away from the lever. The dimensions of the enlarged head are such that, as seen in a direction from the enlarged head towards the lever, at least part of said enlarged head overlaps at least one guide part.
