A vehicle roof which can be opened, comprising a cover that can be moved between a closed position and an open position in which the cover is raised at least at the rear edge of the cover and is at least partly moved over an adjoining roof portion. The cover is supported by means of a front bearing device, which can be moved by a drive device, such that the cover can be moved along a front guide rail and by means of a rear bearing device such that the cover can be raised over the adjoining roof portion and moved along a rear guide rail.

Dual-opening panoramic sunroof and method of operating the same

A dual-opening panoramic sunroof may include front glass which slides forward and rearward by being connected with a front sled that is slidable forward and rearward along a mechanism rail, a rear glass which slides forward and rearward by being connected with a rear sled, a front timing plate which has a rear end rotatably coupled to the rear sled, and a front end formed with a front groove to accommodate a portion of the front sled, and selectively connects the front sled and the rear sled, a rear tilt lever which is disposed rearward of the mechanism rail, and a rear timing plate which has a rear end rotatably coupled to the rear tilt sled, and a front end formed with a rear groove formed to selectively accommodate a portion of the rear sled, and connects the rear sled and the rear tilt sled.

Movable panel assemblies

A vehicle includes a roof opening, a front window that is located forward from the roof opening, and a rear window that is located rearward from the roof opening. The vehicle also includes a first panel and a second panel. The first panel and the second panel obstruct the roof opening in a closed position and are movable to an open position in which the first panel is positioned adjacent to an exterior surface of the front window and the second panel is positioned adjacent to an exterior surface of the rear window.

METHOD FOR USING AN ELECTRIC MOTOR TO GENERATE SOUND, SAID ELECTRIC MOTOR BEING EMPLOYED TO DRIVE A VEHICLE ROOF COMPONENT

A method for actuating an electric motor with a motor control signal with an application-specific frequency, which signal is provided by an electronic motor control unit, wherein the electric motor is used in a vehicle roof for activating a component of this roof while being connected to a region of the roof. Embodiments provide that the electric motor can be actuated by the motor control unit with an additional signal whose frequency and amplitude are suitable for causing the region of the vehicle roof to which said electric motor is connected to oscillate in order to generate sound.

Drive cable and method of production

A drive cable for actuating a vehicle element movable relative to a vehicle body is provided, the drive cable having a cable body having a cable core around which a coil following a helical line is coiled, the coil serving to engage with a gear wheel, the cable body being provided with a cable sheath. The cable sheath is glued to the coil.

DRIVE MECHANISM FOR A VEHICLE AND METHOD FOR MOVING PANELS FOR A VEHICLE
